The logic is repeatable, the Big Bang is not, is that what you mean?

If you are dedicated to a religion just for a chance at the afterlife, you probably don't believe. I identify as agnostic. It's not that I don't want to believe, I just know deep down I don't believe in it.

Why the christian god specifically? Why not Zeus or Vishnu or a giant flying spaghetti monster.

Besides imo being religious is a significant sacrifice. You have to use quite a bit of time and sacrifice your lifestyle.

And again why a specific higher power? Why one, why not 2, 7 or 83? Why this specific god or that specific god? Its not just a choice between the christian god (who i assume you are refering to though regardless my argument stands?) or no god?

Hahaha. No, the big bang theory points to the expansion of our universe and says that if you play that expansion backwards, you get contraction to a denser, more energy filled universe. It makes no claims that this is how the universe was created as we have no mathematical models that work well enough to predict this. (general relativity and quantum mechanics don’t work well together) Regardless, we do see that the universe once must have been much denser and smaller. This doesn’t nessecarily mean it was a singularity or the beginning of time but rather the beggining of the current state of our universe and everything relavent to it.

Also perhaps an appeal to emption there?
