You’re setting you’re argument up as if everything was white and black. You either find someone attractive, or unattractive, which isn’t true. If you’re friends, and you simply want a good time doing whatever your doing (regardless of there being any attraction) then that’s what people do. Personally I don't agree with that but I’m not going to go into that as that’s not the original topic of this thread.

That’s a pretty common opinion lol, you’re either born with a blank slate or a set of characteristics that develop over time

 

I was raised by straight people. I was taught to be straight and marry a woman my whole life. In the summer before the 6th grade, I started hitting puberty and realizing I find men attractive. No matter how much I fought these ideas and tried to push attraction of women on myself, it wouldn't work. They actually just kept getting stronger until I realized that sexual orientation really is an innate attraction hardwired into the brain. So no, you definitely don't choose it. And based on my research, it is predetermined at birth based on epigenetics.
