I think you misunderstand your position. You're a player, your choice includes:

    1) Staying and playing
    2) Leaving and not play

The server staff have no obligation to tell any player a single thing, I'd consider yourself lucky they decided to say anything at all.

To clarify, the recent tech failure is not related to Mojang.

To quote your own status "I just don't know why there wouldn't be any backups." Yes whoever deleted the files is largely to blame, but not solely. Any business, especially one that relies on electronic data should have a solid backup recovery plan in place. I can understand if there were external factors at play but to be told "we just never got around to setting up the backups" kind of also adds some responsibility to what is currently happening.

The first step in New Meep should be getting a backup recovery plan +1

    ????????????????
Mojang is NOT involved in the current issue in ANY way. Did you even read the thread?
The current issue is that someone who had access to console deleted all of meep's data.

Why would the admins rake responsibility for actions they didnt take? And again... they did apologize. Did you read the thread or did you ignore 90% of it?

Literally no one here is responsible for ANYTHING wrong except the ONE person that deleted the files.

It is not the admin's, or any staff's, or the community's fault.

    Chill the hell out.

Christ the amount of ideas you have put into your head is unbelievable, if you really wanted to get your point across to myself for one talk to me on discord because majority of the time when i see these half baked threads that have no thought into it what so ever I disregard. If you really would like to express your anger in a more constructive way talk to me on discord whether its ideas or to express your anger because I love to talk instead of 1 line sentences with CAPS every here and there.

Thats entirely wrong. If I'm an idiot who takes a nap in the middle of a crowded bustop with 15 100$ bills peeping out of my back pocket wearing a shirt that says "SUGAR DADDY", and wake up to see my money mysteriously gone, its my fault for being stupid with my money, not the people who took them. Meepcraft is basically the "SUGAR DADDY" in this scenario, Admins neglected to make backups, something so simple, EVEN AFTER THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TWO YEARS AGO.

"Under CrueltyGaming’s directive, the original community forums and custom systems were deleted, the entire original staff of MeepCraft was fired and disbanded, and it was rumored that the very next directive was to reset the Towns world with a new rank system (which would result in the removal of the ranks that you payed for!)."

Ever heard of the saying "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me?" If I leave my door unlocked and I get robbed, its equal parts my fault for keeping my door unlocked. If I give my loaded gun to my 6 year old son to play with and he mysteriously dies, its my fault I gave him such a dangerous weapon. So tell me, how the hell is this not Meepcraft's fault for neglecting to back up files, even after the same exact scenario happened two years earlier?

Admins need to apologize because they enabled this type of thing to happen, they did the crime just as much as the mysterious person who did it. People spent years building and creating towns which is all gone now because of a stupid, careless mistake staff didnt learn from.

IMO the only thing I think the admins could have done better is create backups of the server files. Though we've all been really quick to point at the tech wiping files as the cause of all this grief, it would have been averted if someone with CONSOLE made a backup of the server before it went down.

No matter though, a reset was probably needed for better or for worse.
