Abortion technically is an extreme form of birth control, as it gets the job done.

Again, the most logical reasoning is coming from muunkee ellie and court so honestly im leaning more towards their side

Overpopulation is not an issue (especially right now) and wont be for a very long time (if it ever happens) but im not saying one day in the far future that it wont be.

Okay this kind of bothers me. While I agree that abortions are immoral and generally should be avoided, there are legit reasons for wanting an abortion. You're severely distorting the reasons women actually get abortions and misrepresenting their actual decision-making process--I would argue that a relatively small percentage of women who get abortions go through this particular thought process.

I would imagine that the reasons are more like (in no particular order):

1) I don't have money for a kid
2) I don't feel ready to be a parent
3) I feel as if I'm incapable of loving my child to the amount he deserves

I mean, it doesn't make abortion any less wrong IMO, but your argument is both invalid and extremely insensitive.

 

@metr0n0me Muunkee gave those reasonings. I did not think of them, in sinolying tell MUUNKEE that if you get an abortion because you can't get a date while pregnant, have to give up some things while pregnant (which all I can think of is heavy lifting and drinking alcohol), become fat and or get stretch marks. That's ridiculous. If you have a valid reason the sure. My valid reasonings are only rape and if the mother is going to die. If you "feel like you shouldn't be a mother" then you probably don't deserve the kid and should give it to a better family.

If life ends when a persons heart stops, shouldn't it begin when they register a heartbeat? After it has a heartbeat I think getting abortions shud be illegal, but before then you can do what you like.

 

We consider someone "dead" when there is no brain activity. Someone can have a heart beat but still can be considered dead because they have no brain activity.

 

Oh rip. Well I did some quick research and I found that brain activity starts at around 2 months, this could be a good cutoff if its where life begins right?

 

Not necessarily, when your heart stops (aka no pulse) then you are pronounced dead. Now, the brain activity comes in when they can't revive the heart. As when they do cpr etc etc they can sometimes make the heart start beating again. However, if a nurse or doctor does not "want to do" cpr then they are pronounced dead when there is no pulse aka no heart beat.

I feel abortion should be a last resort but if a women feels she needs an abortion then I am more than supportive.

A woman can chose to abort for a number of reasons including but not limited to:
1) they're not financially stable enough to support another human being
2) they are too young, unprepared and incapable of raising a child
3) giving birth might kill them
4) they're not willing to go through the physical process of giving birth
5) it was a late-caught mistake
and many other reasons.

At around 12-13 weeks the fetus is usually too big to use the standard procedure of essentially vacuuming it out of the uterus and must be basically dismembered inside the uterus and removed bit by bit.

Depending on the situation, some women are okay with that fact, others are not but ultimately I believe the potential mother should decide what she wants to do.

Personally, I think that after 10 weeks you know, so make a decision. After 12 weeks abortion should be illegal.

 

Fetus doesnt feel pain until 24-26 weeks
