I haven't been staff in years, but it's amazing how that modreq sound sticks with you. I haven't heard it in so long, but as soon as I heard the ding I reactively felt like I had to do /check

Here we go
Also if you think it's weird that he turned around and immediately saw it, he probably had a "wait, was that iron ore?" kind of reaction after he was done doing whatever he was doing (most likely checking something irl, opening chat for a second to do a command, or checking out tab)

Lucky tunneling is highly unlikely. I want to believe it isn’t x-ray, but after going through the video I’ll put in some context.
When using x-ray, it is likely that the user will be looking around for ores through surfaces. Although yes, he did mine a lot of exposed ore, he happened to mine a handful of unexposed ore. And every time he did that “lucky tunneling” it led to ore. Here are some times that made me believe it was x-ray.
At 1:54 he was looking down through the ground for a longer than normal period of time for ores.
The giveaway was between 4:23-4:33 where you can see that he has stopped for a longer than normal period of time to look at a vein of ore. He then shuts his client off to see where he is going and goes immediately to it and mines it. It was unexposed and this part of the clip looks especially fishy
4:42. He stops again and shifts, most likely mis-clicking and turns a client on/off. Turns around and mines unexposed ore.
5:06: mines more unexposed ore
At this point in time, the two rarest ores in the game were diamond, which he had an abundance of, and coal. In this video he mined 3 veins of unexposed coal in 40 seconds. This is either a case of an unlikely string of lucky mining, or Izzst wasn’t being careful enough hiding his client. I think the timeframe from 4:20-5:15 is alarming.Last edited: Apr 28, 2020smk, joshofosho, SurvivingSword11 and 7 others like this. -

Hey guys, Im bored and curious to see what you think of the evidence shown from the 2 videos that were posted on Izzxt's ban appeal thread.
IzzSt - Ban Appeal
In my humble opinion, if those two videos are the only evidence against Izzst, than there is not enough evidence or any evidence at all of Xraying and I believe a mistake was made. Thoughts?nhjed, cooey, Toostenheimer and 5 others like this. -
Yeah watching those back I didn't see any evidence of xraying

doesn’t seem like xray to me at least not something so blatant it cant be explained by just lucky tunneling. could they be xraying? maybe but nothing in either of those videos seems like anything more than just luck

he literally just explored a mineshaft and then mined in one direction. He turns once, and he gets back to a mineshaft pretty quickly, but he mined parallel to that mineshaft for a while, so if he really wanted to be efficient he'd go straight to the mineshaft. It's clearly not xraying

I'll be honest and say that I didn't watch the 2nd video after the first. But if the content of the 2nd video is anything like the first, then the videos simply aren't indicative of x-ray. Video 1 is a normal mining style, and the ores mined in that video are exposed to the surface. The angles are hard to catch, but the frame-by-frame playthrough does show exposed ore.

For a serious reply, I initially thought this was clear Xray when I looked at minute 4 from 5 as suggested by @IFartOnChilren , but Silver01 was able to convince me it wasn't with some screenshots in a private discord message. All of the ores were exposed.Last edited: Apr 28, 2020Toostenheimer, IzzSt, Thee Boss and 1 other person like this.
