    1.8 pvp was actually exciting.

I said actual points. I've already debunked this if you can take the time and read it. Do you really want to rely on a servers ability to accurately register one hit? It hardly registers any when you click normally. You only start getting decent hits after the first couple swings. I just don't see what you mean by "make them count for something" when all it does is prevent the more difficult stuff from happening (IE strafing and Wtap)

I enjoy arguing this and I want to see some banter that's not flaming by actually constructed evidence on the following topic.

When it comes to Minecraft PVP, is 1.8> versions more skillful than 1.9+ versions?

    My argument:
Is yeah, 1.8> versions take more skill, and here's why:

    1. When it comes to combat, faster paces requires quicker thinking, faster reaction time and overall a faster playstyle. 1.9 doesn't offer this, limiting the combat to 1 click a second, which lowers this skill cap to a point where newer/inexperienced players don't need to worry about critical factors such as Wtaps, or even a simple strafe. There's no more thrill in getting your opponent in a combo that makes them inable to hit you since you are simply too quick for them.

    2. 1.9 offers little in terms of new strategy. With the exception of different damage for items and cooldown, 1.9 really doesn't add back what it takes. I already posted a bit on it but if I were to list the negatives side-by-side with the positives you'd see what I mean. (Remember, my opinion)

    1.9
    + Different types of damage
    - Click cooldown
    - Eliminates strafing, or otherwise an entire sword meta
    + Cool arrows
    - Makes the gameplay completely dependent on how well the server can transmit a SINGULAR click packet, if it screws it up then you miss out on damage for a second.

With the exception of one thing, 1.9 only adds aesthetics in pvp.

    3. 1.9 is really only useful for RPG or single player. Nerfing your attack speed makes mob fights more exciting, as before mobs weren't a challenge. However, in terms of a competitive player VS. player system, this is completely degrades the atmosphere of challenge.

Lastly, before I post I want to get one thing clear, as the majority of pro 1.9 players use this as their argument

    A. Click speed is NOT a factor. I repeat, NOT a factor in terms of separating two players in skill. There's is no or very minimal advantage in clicking faster, as you can only hit a player twice in a second anyway.

So please, don't say "1.9 requires skill, as you need to time your hits" because there is so much logical fallacy in that statement which I can explain with time but it's pretty self explanatory.

point and click adventure is stupid, play a real pvp game. Anyone who prides themselves even a trifle over supposed "skill" in a game played mainly by white 12 year olds with annoying frog voices and addiction to dabbing, minecraft parody songs, and skydoesminecraft etc needs a reality check.

bait aside it's obviously 1.8, 1.9 pvp is a stupid and slow trainwreck of a pvp system that should have been thrown in the garbage the very unholy day it was conceived in the mind of a mojang employee. Timing your hits doesn't make for any more fun or skill, it just makes fights boring and obnoxious.
