When did you join Meepcraft? February 17th 2013
Introduction: Hello fellow Meepers, I am SSSoul or SSSoulblade. Today, I'd like to once again apply for a Helper position to help stabilize the changing server. Thinking back, it's been almost four years now since a young teenage boy got his Minecraft account and logged on his first server.
When I first joined, I was THE definition of a mess. First of all, it was my first Minecraft server so I had no idea how to play, (imagine my surprise when "lag" became eggplant!) I had little interest in Towny, and I only played HG. Had it not been for a real life friend who no longer plays, I don't think that I'd be the person that I'd be now.
My first couple months were very shaky, I slowly shifted from HG to Towny, making mistakes such as throwing diamonds into my friend's house so he could pick it up when he next logged on. I would buy heads and resell from people such as @GingerManOWNS and ebkennel. Throughout a few months, while the server was booming, I met and interacted with many people and friends. Slowly, but surely, I became a part of a second family. Some of my fondest meepcraft memories include hanging out with friends that I'd never met irl and sitting at the bottom of Checkpoint 1 of parkour for when people missed that one jump.
Outside of Meepcraft, I'm a junior in high school still trying to figure out what I want to do for my future. I love my dog (my profile picture), anime, food, and basketball/racquetball. I've visited different states across America as well for school clubs and competed for medals in clubs such as Odyssey of the Mind.
Other than school, I enjoy playing a variety of different games such as League of Legends, Smash (Melee and 4), the Pokemon series, and I've recently been playing Rune Factory (if any of you have heard of it.)
Also, if I had to choose three things to lock myself in a room with for 10 days (no essentials needed) I'd pick my pillow, my dog, and a gaming console.
Why should you be Helper? I'm certainly not the strongest candidate right now for Helper, I'm sure. However, I still want to be someone another person can rely on for help if they need it. I think back to the time I joined Meepcraft and it's hard to process that it's been almost four years. I think back to the times where people like arif240 and DancingCactus were still staff, and it feels like it's been eons. Since then, I've learned more about the server as well as the many people that play on it. I've not only been lured, griefed and harassed, but I've also been lucky to meet many people and to enjoy time in a gaming reality rather than in my real one.
I've been staff two times, and I'll admit it, I wasn't exactly the best. I was somewhat stubborn and I had a lot of technical issues with an older computer. However, I've done things even when I wasn't staff to help the server. nasapc123 handpicked me, my brother, and a couple of other people to help design the new Skyblock spawn before it actually came out. The six-ish of is worked on it for almost half a day before there was a server reset. However, Fuzzlr wanted a different type of theme rather than the one we had built and a different spawn was used instead.
I'm also fairly good at redstone, with a huge thanks to my brother who enjoys tinkering with that stuff a lot. I've helped countless people make their contraptions run better. I've built auto-sorters, Rube Goldbergs. (don't ask why) and some grinders.
Although I haven't done it in a bit, I also used to PvP a lot both in Terrarium/Centrum/MeepOlympics/Event. I've fought against some of the best PvPers that have played Meepcraft, taught a few people, and also learned from a few.
Last but not least, I've almost never been banned. Prior to Meep's reset, I didn't have a single ban. As of now, I have about 5 bans total. The ones I remember are as follows: A ban for asking for a kick, a ban for "annoying", and a griefing issue between @Muunkee and I. It was an odd case and mostly my fault. Someone in shout said an alt login that not belong to him, and not knowing, I logged onto it and took items in the town. The items were refunded the next day and the account was given back to Muunkee.
What are your weaknesses? This section is the time I spend the most time thinking about. It makes you wonder what you do wrong and how you can fix it, instead of blaming another person or their actions. Every person has weaknesses and I am no exception.
-Immaturity: I'm still very immature despite attempts to fix it. I've certainly matured a bit since I first joined the server, but I can take things a little too far at times. This is one of the few things that a person can take it upon themselves to improve to a professional level without outside assistance, and I strive to act more mature.
-Stubbornness: A big flaw of mine in my eyes. If I have a very strong opinion, I like to pursue that opinion until I am beat. Though I do like an arguement with valid points from both sides, I'll almost always pursue my ideals until I know I've lost. However, I try to always listen to the other side of the story.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: My second life on Meep has been a wild ride with ups and downs in almost all cases. The experience that I've had here was wonderful, and I want other people to experience the many things I've enjoyed and learned about on my wild ride. I enjoy talking, so feel free to message or mail me any questions, and thank you for reading my app!
