EULA is affecting each and every Multi-Player Minecraft server. Minecraft servers have 2 ways to deal with the EULA and the deadline.
1. Make effective changes to the server and the perms to fall within the EULA
2. Hold out and not follow the EULA and have the server blacklisted and shut down.
We understand that these changes are not fun! We understand that it affects perms that members of the community donated to the server to receive. This is not something that anyone involved took lightly, we spent many hours going over the servers options and decided to ensure the new and longtime members of the MeepCraft community would still have a server to log into.
I have donated many times to this server to help players get the ranks they wanted. I did that first as a Certified rank seller making myself the richest (In meebles) player on the server to the tune of almost 1 billion meebles and I still do that today except I decided long ago meebles didn't make me happy so I now only give ranks away on my terms and when I see someone I feel in my opinion needs the hand. I also do so with contests in which I fund rank giveaways. I also along with almost 50 other players donated for Ultimate when it first came out when it for a period of 4-5 months only included the title "Ultimate" and orange chat.
I am telling you this for one reason and it is my opinion and one I know is shared with the years’ worth of Meepsters I have enjoyed the community with and I hope with many fellow Meepsters in the future. I don't sign on MeepCraft every day to fly. I don't sign on to /heal. I sign on to MeepCraft because in my opinion it is the greatest Towny Economy Server ever. I sign on because on good and bad days I am able to be a part of "in my opinion" the greatest community of online gamers in not just Minecraft but in gaming.
With the ups and downs over the years, with members of this community having great days and at times not so great. We are still a community of people who has always been open to new players, helpful to all players, caring at times when irl members of this community have hit rough patches. We are Meepsters! When the MN issues arose a few years ago and we took the huge steps involved in saving MeepCraft with the help of some of the community’s best we all lost all of towny! Every town gone, all meebles gone, all mini games gone and because of the Community we sucked it up and moved forward together.
I am sorry for the long rant but I just wanted to let everyone know that we as a server appreciate all every one of you has done for this place and each other. We appreciate the donations over the years to make sure every day when you needed to get away you were able to head to meepcraft.com to build, play, earn, and at times just chat.
I know this is a tough pill to swallow, I understand that things changing are never fun when the changes are this type but I see the future of this great server. I see the builds getting better, the economy getter stronger, and the MeepCraft Community getting up, dusting off and moving forward better and stronger.
Again I want to thank you all for the donations over the years making MeepCraft possible and for not talking chargebacks as you understood "donations" when you made them. I also want to in advance thank everyone moving forward to keep MeepCraft moving forward.
We released a huge list of new items to come if you review the thread Fuzzlr posted. This is not a wish list that will sit forever. I can assure you we all worked hard in the final hours yesterday to comply and will put many more hours in to fulfill our goals laid out.
Thank you MeepCraft and all the members of this great Community.

I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the first comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and I would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost i would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity. Next i would like to thank my parents. I want to thank my friend Peter Griffin for being really skinny and always there for me. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next i would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that i need to get through the day. This is a special moment in my life and i would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that I will never forget. I just remembered a few other people i would like to thank; Abraham Lincoln, the fish I caught in the third grade, my light in my room because i wouldn’t be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on the bodybuilding forums, my house because without it i would be homeless, and last but not least i would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how I did this, I would say, you can achieve anything u set your mind on. To all the kids out there reading this, I would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the first is truly amazing, thank you everyone

Thank for you all the time and effort that you along with all the other staff members have put into this over the past few days. The positive response from the community reflects what a great job you have been doing to maintain this server to be as great as it is. We can only go up from here and I am very excited to see where we are headed!
I remember joining this server along with my brother several years ago and the memories I have made on it have been awesome. I started playing when I was a freshman in highschool. I remember when Kazarkas bought exclusive for himself, me, and 3 of our other irl friends when it first came out because we wanted dynmap to kill everyone in the wild lol
Now I just finished my freshman year in college. Throughout those years I have spent countless hours in game and on the forums. Although minecraft is just a game, I have interacted with many people and some who I still keep in contact with today. I have spent an abundance of time on the staff team during my time here where I enjoyed helping people and also facilitating a friendly and fun environment for people to play the game. I gained some experience working with a team (semi) professionally (lol)
Like I said before, even though minecraft is just a game, it has affected me and many others greatly. A community is bound to hit problems here and there. The fact that meep has been around for so long is something that we should all be proud being a part of.
Again, thank you Cooleys and the rest of the team. I trust that this problem will be dealt with effectively! We are heading in the right direction!GroovyGrevous, Fortemizuki, CluelessKlutz and 3 others like this. -
When I first joined meep I was clueless as to where I was to go, and what I was to do, and what was the point really. I then found out I was soppose to join some type of town and make a house. Luckily, someone escorted me to a town where I made a house with simply wood and cobblestone, and was happy as I could be. In my mind right now, I could picture that 8 by 6 house, 3 blocks high with a little flower right beside the door. I remember everyone next to me, the house across the street, the little brick shop set up, and the classy casino being built. As far as I could remember, I could see where I was about four years ago, to where I am now. I've seen so many people come and go, I've made so many relationships, broke so many, met so many people and experienced so many things in the short course of those years. Its crazy to say that I've learned so much in a block game, maybe even more then in real life. I've been discarded, bullied and frowned upon so much in my life that I can easily say that I've had a better time on meep craft then irl. Whether I was having a bad day with whoever or just with myself, I know I could always jump on meep and know that people around me can support and be sympathetic. It also seems like the friends I met here have been better and more trustworthy then most people that I've stumbled upon in my life. I would have never known that friends that I've met online would hold me up in such a way. The community around me is strong, and helped me be who I am today. The reason I bring this up is because wether or not we might loose some perks, or go through some changes I'll still love this server with a strong passion. So in the big scheme of things the new system doesn't really matter to me, nor does it disappoint me in anyway. I could care less about my rank compared to the long relationships I've built up through time. So whatever happens, I'll always be here. As a community, we can walk through this together like its no big deal. Because this server isn't worth breaking up or loosing.

As long as MeepCraft doesn't give up, it shouldn't matter. As a community, we have come so far already. There is no point to leave the server now just because of the EULA.
I remember when Cooleys introduced me to PennCrest, a prestigious town only for donors and I was the only resident who was of the [citizen] rank. He gave me 4 plots, all for free, and showed me around the town where he later gave me $10,000 to help me start off. At the time, 10k as a lot of money to me, and I was really appreciative. Ever since then, I have worked to get to where I am now as an Ultimate, and looking back at that time 3 years ago, I realized how important a community really is towards incoming new players.Fortemizuki, Cherrykit, FunGUY and 2 others like this. -
When I opened up meep to see that you had brought me that $20 rank I was over the moon.

I joined meepcraft because of an irl friend. It was my first server I ever went on. A pure noob logging on. People were so nice!! Jk what actually happened was I voted then somehow won 50k (this was back when the economy was no where near as bad) and I did /buy 64 diamonds 1000 I kept doing that and crafting diamond armor to pvp with and I got rekt with people who had gods and every time I lost 64 diamonds... Was I a noob or what. I didn't even notice chat until my 4th day... I say people weren't nice at first because when I looked at chat I saw someone say $&!? you to someone else... I quit meep for a month after I lost all my meebles from /buy. A month later I joined back. I used chat this time and was all like /shout (back when g wasn't a thing) I'm new here what do you do? Well no response. I did this for about 10 minutes until some staff member noticed that I was spamming (I think iatemyfriends). He showed me around and was super nice. I ended up just doing creative. Then one day (I was making $now because of creative slots with dispenser back when that was the "thing") and he said someone help I'm gonna lose my town if I don't get enough money!! So I tpaed payed the guy 10k (the economy still wasn't inflated I think) and looked around his bar in his town. I asked could I work here? He said well you have to join the town first. Ok so this town was weird let me tell you that before I go on. It has no plots... Anyone in the town could acsess anything. I think it was called sandyside or SandyResort. It had a huge hotel which eventually got raided and had &@!? you signs all over it... I joined the town. I asked again. He said oh sorry the bar has too many employees (aka him and krazykat). I'm all like ok that's fine . Then krazykat introduces me around the town. It was really cool. Anyway eventually the town came close to crashing twice so I begged my dad to get me 100k twice. Eventually the town did fall . But the people of meep were so nice and cheered me up. This community helps people get through tough times. It still makes my eyes water today . It's sad when a small town that all the res are cits and friends and nubs falls . I'll never forget my first experiences with meepcraft.

I don't see what the point in everyone complaining is. Sure, no one likes it that /fly is gone, I don't like it and like many other people keep pressing that spacebar twice; but what's complaining going to do? It was either comply or have Meep shut down entirely, nothing more could be done by Fuzzlr or the staff team. I'm sure there would be a lot more complaints if someone were to wake up and see that Meep was no longer a server, but something that is just becoming a memory. I've had many people tell me to chargeback, or threaten a chargeback. Why would I do that though? For personal gain or attempt in making staff doing something that shouldn't be done? No thanks. Meep will get better even if /fly isn't here.
What would be interesting though is going around to other server sites or whatever and see if they still have fly for perks. That would be a most interesting turning point if they still had the ability to fly.Fortemizuki, CluelessKlutz, TechnoTyson and 1 other person like this.
