I have to respectfully disagree with your decision. I have no idea how you think this is a good idea. (Cant tell if joking or no?)

I personally believe I will quit as my town is practically the only reason I'm still here. Although when leaving staff, I was "replaceable" so I'm sure this is the same case.. I suggest you HEAVILY reconsider your decision. So many long time players will leave, no doubt.

I really hope this is one of your "lets just see what their reaction is" threads..

 

Hello all

As you may have heard, Minecraft 1.9 was released today. We have been discussing this for a few months but have decided as a server that its best to restart.

Because of the huge economy and lack of space in towny, we are resetting alpha and beta, as well as wiping the eco. You will be given meebles to start based on donor rank.

We know you may be shocked but we appreciate the ongoing support and look forward to rebuilding with you all

 

Edit: No srsly, mate why tho? I hope you're joking, people have spent hundreds of hours building their towns. We can't just restart everything because of 1.9. 100% there are going to be about 25% of Meep qutting most likely because of this.

EDIT: Since this post is rather visible, I'll add this here instead of later in the thread.

SUGGESTION: Please get rid of the stupid 10k item cap on vshop. I get why you have it, but it's far too low. 10k for each individual item would begin to be a bit more reasonable. This will only be exacerbated once the reset happens -- everyone will be consuming materials at a much higher rate, and most of it will be occurring on vshop, since the previously well-established chest shops will no longer exist.

 

I was honestly excited about this and I came here to express my excitement just to realize that this was a joke.
