I was just thinking of you guys a little bit today and I figured I would give out a special thanks.
It's hard to believe that it was around five (give or take) years ago that I stumbled onto this server. I would have never guessed when I first started that I would have had the experiences I did.
When I joined this server I was around 14-15 years old, I just got a computer and was shown the game minecraft by my friends, so I had no previous internet experience (and at the time I was very much an introvert). Meepcraft showed me what the internet, and parts of the real world is like. With the random acts of rudeness, kindness, helpfulness, and friendships.
In my time of Meeping I have made lots of friends, I have lost friends, and I have even made a few enemies. Lots of people would say "they cant be your 'friends' if you have never met them." However I disagree. My friends on Meep have truly impacted my life through their kindness, for that I am very grateful and no matter where I go there will always be a little bit of you in me.
Meepcraft helped me become more social and open to talk with people (though I'm still working on it).
Becoming a moderator helped me gain more confidence and good judgement. Being a moderator also gave me a sense of responsibility, when non was given to me elsewhere. I truly believe becoming a moderator helped me gain more of a good work ethic, before I had any real jobs.
Grammar and spelling Nazi's helped me with my typing (it's still a work in progress I know).
So shout out to all you awesome people. You helped me get through some rough patches in my life, you gave me friendships when I had non, you gave me joy when I had little, and you really did impact my life. Even though I am not very active anymore, I will always be a Meepcrafter.
I hope Meepcraft can impact all of you guys like it has me.
Special thanks to all my Friends (you know who you are), fellow moderators past and present, and Fuzzlr.

As a 14 year old coming from broken home and living in an abusive household, it is very easy to drowned yourself into things like videogames. To where the only place you can even escape "life" is places like Meepcraft.
Being moved from town to town and away from your friends, the only thing or "friends" that came with me was those from meepcraft.
You cannot begin to understand me or my "life", and I encourage you to actually think before you post, because you never know how it can affect different people.
I am not saying my life was worse than anyone elses, I am blessed with what I have; however I have gone through my share of hard times, and Meep was there for me to escape to.
I am proud to say that today, I do infact have a life. One that I am proud of, I've gone far with the hand I have been dealt and I do not plan on stopping now.SSSoul, Fangdragon1998, sinisterweapon7 and 10 others like this. -
Meep has also helped me in life quite a bit, even though it may be addicting and I should be going outside and all, I have learnt a few things.
Firstly, I've become more knowledgeable about the states in America. Mostly all of you are from America and I'm here not knowing anything about that country. But you are all spread across America, I've gained friends with you guys and started to gain some knowledge in Geography.
I've also been more up-to-date on news. You guys are probably thinking "How does Meep help with world news?" Well it does. Some of you guys are very informative and when there's some big story on news, some of you say in shout. E.g for the Paris attacks, because of you, I knew about it earlier than my parents!
I've also learnt some money tips. I've gambled so much on Meep it's crazy. I had 1 million meebles this morning and now have 1000 meebles. I diced it all. Now I thought, if I did this in real life I'll be the silliest earth on planet gambling all my money. Now I look at money as a scarce item that needs to be treated carefully.
Now, my confidence. I'm a really shy person in real life, you'll be shocked. When I downloaded TeamSpeak I was so scared to use it because I had a fear of speaking to strangers whom I haven't met before. But I started saying 'hi' and then I had a few staff interviews and after that, speaking to y'all wasn't as bad as I thought.
Lastly, this isn't really something I've learnt, but, I have made many friends here. In September 2014 I was talking to myself in local chat because I had no idea about /g or /shout. Then after a few days someone let me know about those commands. That's when I started getting to know you guys, and making friends. You are all so nice and I know there are still many people I haven't met yet and am willing to.
And of course I've improved in Maturity.
Did I ever think, 2 years ago, that I would be sitting here now playing a Minecraft Server? MeepCraft has changed my life in a good way.
So thank you MeepCraft for making my time wonderful, not like all those servers I jumped on to and they looked so crowded and un-welcoming.
Oh and don't forget all the new 'text' language I've learnt about. Such as 'gg' and 'Idek' (Yeah I never knew about them until I joined haha)
By the way, I haven't talked to you Phoenix (I don't think) But a well written speech! (Or essay whatevs.)Last edited: Jan 11, 2016FatIsNoob, Cherrykit, DangitAnas and 8 others like this. -
I randomly decided to log on to check this site out again and saw a few familiar names on this thread which was pretty cool. I'm glad I stopped by to read this haha

I remember about 4 years ago, when I met you I was so fascinated by what you had done in minecraft and what you had for some reason.

At that time I over took Percy1234 for the most gold on the server (because he quit), and I was only Trial-Mod, or mod.
But you've brought yourself a long way on Meep since then. I really enjoyed having
you in that town, you were the only one that actually tried to build a nice home.Last edited: Jan 16, 2016sinisterweapon7, Erebus45, Dart_Knight and 1 other person like this. -
