Welcome to The MeepCraft Times, a revival of the short lived Meep Updates as started by former staff member @The_Squirrelman . The purpose remains the same; to keep the community in the loop with what’s new, behind the scenes, and in the works. This will be published every other Friday.

New Additions

Stripe
New payment option added in addition to PayPal for donations to the server. ( more info )

Refreshed wild world abundant in resources to ring in the new year.

Halo
Halo has been revamped and returned to Meepcraft! ( more info )


Bugs Squashed!
-fixed the error of “No players near” when trying to purchase items at /warp shop.

Luring protection
20 second cool down for pvp on /tpa to combat luring. ( trello card )

Chest GUI displaying information on available spawners. ( trello card )

Additions to the Ultimate shop
Adding beacons, prismarine, more spawner eggs, and enchanted books.( trello card )

Command to find personal status on baltop. ( trello card )

Buy your own head

Warp Shortcuts

Community Events

“Happy Birthday Meep” Drop Party
In order to show their love for the community, @0zblox and @MiniArch_ are hosting a drop party that will include money and chest giveaways, fireworks, and a cake party with decorations! (more info)

Meepcraft Ceremony
A two-day graduation ceremony hosted by @iiTzJDL on 12/19/15 and 12/20/15 to recognize what our great donators and staff have done for the server! (more info and pics)

Secret Santa
In the spirit of the holidays there were many secret santas taking place, the largest was hosted by @Muunkee - Alexia with 97 participants! (more info)


Server Events

Holiday Build Contest
The most recent server wide event was the holiday build contest! Look here for the winners and here for more info on the contest. This event let players compete for holiday themed builds that would be narrowed down to the top 5 builds. The winners would all receive meeble prizes. The top winner was @speedylemonade with the prize of 2 million meebles!

MeepCraft Anniversary
Today MeepCraft celebrates its 4th birthday! There’s tons of drop parties planned across the server so be sure to be on for them! Here's two special videos our Media Team @Bluapol and @Bloopers made just for the occasion!

What are your thoughts on the new spawn? In one word:
“Futuristic. I like it because it’s big, but everything is right next to you...first PVP arena that I don’t constantly lag out.”

How do you feel about Halo coming back?
“Looking forward to it. It’s fun. Original. Upholds player count. Usually has lots of players so it’s always good to play.”

What’s your favorite part of Meepcraft?
“It’s a combination of being here for a long time, knowing a lot of people, it being a well moderated towny server, and not barren; there’s active players and an overall unique experience.”

Get Involved with The MeepCraft Times
With every release of the paper we will pick a cover photo submitted by the community. The owner of the selected photo will be awarded 25,000 meebles and be featured on the front page of the paper. For more info on how to enter this twice monthly contest, click here. Additionally if a submitted picture is repurposed elsewhere in the paper, you will be awarded 5,000 meebles.
