You are an ignorant person to have this viewpoint, and you don't understand the situation. How in the world do Illegal Aliens vote for a President? Obama is the worst president? Should I remind you the last one got us into two decade long wars we never won?

Why is Nixon a horrible president? He was the one who brought in the Clean Air and Water act, and many other things. What did Nixon do he was so horrible?

I just got done learning about immigration in school. Here are the facts I got from several hand outs
The size of the unauthorized population stands at just under 12 million. The Pew Research Center estimates that unauthorized immigrants comprised 5.3% of the US labor force in 2010. This is down from 5.5% in 2007. Three fifths of unauthorized immigrants have been in the US for more than a decade. Over half of unauthorized immigrants age 25-64 have a high school diploma or more education. Nearly half of longtime unauthorized immigrant households are homeowners.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. They are taking jobs that Americans don't want! Do you want to pick potatoes in Idaho for minimum wage or less? What about clean hotel rooms for minimum wage or less? Someone has to take these undesired jobs and illegal immigrants are willing to do it for less than minimum wage. This also saves the company money so they can produce more stuff for us.

I think the best way to go about immigration is to integrate them into American society and make them legal law abiding citizens kind of easily. This way they will have to pay taxes and whatnot and we don't have to spend time and money to deport them back to a country where they might get killed.

People think that Nixon was the worst president because he was impeached over the Watergate scandal. Also you forgot to mention how he started pulling our troops out of Vietnam.

 

If Success was truly measured by Work then Immigrants holding Chainsaws and Weedwackers would rule the Nation.

 

Illegal immigration is
not an issue because of them taking menial level jobs. It is an issue because most illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, but still benefit from tax funded programs.

Well, given you listen to Republican radio (Assuming Rush Limbaugh) you understandibly only get partial truths, tailored to the message they send. However during any immigration diatribes from these disc jockeys fail to mention than in 2014 alone, Obama is slated to have more deportations than George Bush's entire 8 years in office. Also false is the idea that you get granted automatic citizenship if you cross the border, you don't, and you never have. Additionally, in a scenario where an immigrant might come, and find amnesty, they aren't given U.S citizenship but rather they are given a Green Card which allows them to work, and pay taxes, but they cannot do things such as vote for office.

The issue is that we're going to have illegals in our country, all major countries do, such as England, France, etc. We have essentially two choices, spending our resources trying to boot them out, which will be a never-ending action. Or we can embrace these illegals, get them into the system so they can benefit from our system, and also contribute to our system in the way of direct taxes.

If you want to rate a president by how horrible they are, Nixon isn't nearly close to being the worse. As I, and Erebus said, he did quite a lot of good things, despite his idiocy. Namely the Clean Air and Water act, which is something that is a major part of this country today. Additionally he began to scale down the mistake of a war we call Vietnam.

Also mentioned by others, a large portion of illegal immigrant workers work in an agricultural setting, such as migrant workers etc. These are generally horrible conditions with the heat, and the labor intensity required. Additionally these people generally work for a wage that is not even close to our minimum wage. That being said, I don't know a single American who would be willing to work in these conditions for this pay, so your argument they are taking our jobs is a misnomer. If you don't have a social security card/number, you generally CANNOT take any job which an American would be competing to get.

The issue I have with the OP, and the attitude given is that this is the foundation of what is wrong with this country. You have millions of Americans watching Fox News, MSNBC, or any other of these psuedo-news networks that they begin believing in some half-whacked ideology, and then they go and vote based on this misinformation. They vote for a president and when nothing gets done they are like omg this president is horrible!!!11!. However the fact remains that the President isn't a king, nor has sweeping powers to fundamentally change the entire country. If people began voting actively for their State Legislature and U.S Legislature, such as your state and federal representative, and senator, you will find that those people are the ones who can fundamentally change this country.

However currently we're in a system with corrupt corporate bought Senators and Representatives stay in office for years and decades because people couldn't care less about them, and their position, or their role in this country. Let alone do people vote for judges, nor do they understand that even the Judicial system is a highly political entity, where Judges belong to one of the two main parties, and often rule on issues with that very bias at hand.

The point being, is stop listening to people who tell you what to think on the TV, Radio, Internet and open a history book, and a book on government. Learn how our government actually functions and how it is supposed to function. Only then are you equipped to make an informed decision, and an informed argument. You're original post is essentially "Damn immigrants!" followed by falsities to justify the original statement against immigrants.

Here's one example of what happened when georgia decided to try to get rid of illegal immigrants.
They do a lot of grunt work that keeps stuff running.
