False statistic btw. And here is an analogy that would still prove your statistic to not matter even if it was true.
If there were 2 wild fires in the woods, and I had a solution to put out one of the fires but not the other, would I just not put out one of the fires because there are 2 wild fires that need to be stopped? And wouldent stopping one of the fires give me more time and resources to put out the other fire?

Trump did release an extensive document detailing his personal financial holdings. Which is all he is legally required to do. AND WHO CARES LOL? This is just a pointless talking point that has nothing to do with what he has actually done as a president.

Interesting how you use this as something that he did that makes him a bad president. I thought abortion was legal last time I checked? It was also 20+ years ago that, that would have happened.

He beleives his locations are best suited for government events, should he just not use them because they also bring money towards his personal business? No, that would be silly. And Woah someone in a political position profitting off tax payers dollars and getting away with it? Unheard of! *cough* AOC *cough* and many others.

Yes after taxes were increased during the Obama administration, targeting the rich, he put more money back into the pockets for the people who pay the middle and lower class. Not so they can afford an extra beach house, but so they can continue to hire and employ millions of Americans. RAISING TAXES FOR THE RICH JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE EXTRA MONEY IS BAD FOR THE ECONOMY. And yes, his family is in the top 1% that does not mean he made these tax breaks to benefit himself, he did it to benifit America. Oh and as a member of the middle class, I paid less in taxes this year than I did the last.

Legit fake news. Turn off CNN bud.

He is not "anti-gay". He is against marriage between a woman and a man, and why do his religious views matter? Is he currently suggesting a bill to disallow gay marriage? No. Government shouldent be in the marriage business in my personal opinion. Try doing research before you let fake news effect your opinion on a person.

give me one example of "AOC" spending tax payer money in a manner where she personally profits from it.

How headass must you be to look at someone taking government money and spending it on himself and thinking "he probably just thinks his businesses are the best". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_of_interest

Can you actually go about proving anything he said was false? There are a bunch of empirically testable claims in his post.

She wrote a check to her boyfriend using her PAC which was partially funded by the government. Use google.

He isn't taking government money and spending it on himself. (This is called spreading fake news) . That isn't even what Skaros123 claimed that President Trump did.

To educate you, Trump hosted foreign dignitaries at a resort that he owns, which actually saved tax payers money due to him being able to host it for less than what it would have been to host it at a location he does not own. If you believe his only motive was to "profit" than you clearly have Trump derangement syndrome.[IMG]

Picture of Mar-a-lago for reference. Beautiful resort and a perfect spot to take foreign dignitaries.

Who is burdon of proof on? I beleive it is on Skaros123 who made claims that the current economic success has nothing at all to do with the Trump administration without source.

Also you have yet to say who you believe would be a better president.

I'll start with this. "Thing is false" is a claim that requires proof. "Thing is true" is a claim that requires proof. "Thing is unproven" is a condition that doesn't require proof. You said he was spreading a fake statistic which requires proof.

I assume you are talking about this (because you are loath to actually link anything). Hate to say it but you have fallen for fake news . These are in-kind donations, meaning they were services given a cash value performed for the campaign.

Holy sh** do you not see what you just did there? You just contradicted yourself with your own two points in the same post.
And no it's partial tax payer money (money given to her by the government for her campaign) and donations that go into PAC.

Regarding my anti-gay comment, that was geared specifically towards Mike Pence. In 2006, Pence voted in favor of a constitutional amendment that would define marriage as between a man and a woman, to "enforce God's Idea." First of all, government should be secular, and secondly, defining marriage in this way would bar any other couples from being able to be married. Pence also voted against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would have banned discrimination against people based on sexual orientation. There are many instances of him being in favor of policies that discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community. I can't speak to his other economic/foreign interest views, because I do not know much about this side of him, but I don't want someone in office who will not fight for the rights of all Americans, plain and simple. There is no place for discrimination and hatred in American politics.

As for Trump, I do not believe he is fit to run. Aside from my difference in views with many of his policies, he just makes poor choices, plain and simple. He is stubborn to a fault, and he incites hatred and violence among the general population. In addition, he uses his platform to spread misinformation to millions of people on the regular, (he is not the only one to do this, I know) but with his position in office, he has a responsibility to be well-informed so that he can make well-informed decisions. He does not exemplify the qualities of a leader, and that shows in his actions, speech, and how many of his team have resigned or been indicted. This administration, to sum up, quite frankly, is a hot mess. Could I do any better? Probably not, but I will vote for someone who I believe can, and I encourage everyone to do the same.

Regarding your fake news comment, I try to keep up with current events as well as I can. I use multiple sources, and try to find unbiased sources (I don't read/watch CNN or Fox). With the current media climate, I think school should teach kids media literacy. Teach them how to fact check, be informed, and form their own opinions. There is false information coming from every side, and I honestly do not ever see that changing unless there are more libel lawsuits. As long as there money to be made, news sources will post the most sensational headlines they can get away with, and it can be difficult to keep track and fact-check developing stories and an individual trying to keep up with current events. One source that I do watch daily is Philip Defranco on Youtube. I would say he is middle of the road/left leaning, but he gives facts on the story (he has a whole reseach team) and then gives his opinion. He tries his best to be transperant every step of the way, and that is why I enjoy watching his videos to keep up with current events. It's the best way I've found to do this in a short, easy-to-consume manner.

ok, annoying orange, i hate him and his homophobic side piece, and i suppose that, so far, he really hasn't screwed america's stuff up yet, but i'm worried that another term will give him the time to do that. i'm also tired of his drama. he's kind of petty. and i wish he would get off twitter and do something but i also think twitter is distracting him from getting around to completing his political agenda (which is honestly only for the benefit of wealthy straight white men) so maybe he should stay on twitter?

So his personality is pretty far out there. I'm not a fan of that. But he definitely isn't a far right candidate, or only out there for the "straight white men." A lot of times he is quoted out of context regarding immigrants, most times he is talking about ILLEGAL immigrants, who do the country a lot of harm. He hasn't "messed up" the country, but he didn't do anything bad when he had Republican controlled congress. He didn't even build the wall, which I really wish he did.

As for Mike Pence, he's a religious person so he has certain beliefs about homosexuals. As far as I know, he's never spoken out trying to remove their rights (as he shouldn't), he just doesn't like their lifestyles.

...why do you just say that like it's universal fact? The economic benefits gained from the contribution of second-generation immigrants secure a long term net positive effect on the economy. If you're worried about crime, there's plenty of research to suggest that immigrants commit less crime than the average native-born "American", and even the contradictory studies don't conclude that immigrants commit enough crime to cause serious problem (unless you count immigration violations in that crime total, obviously)
for an incredibly long time he was one of the leading advocates against the legalization of same-sex marriage, so I'm sure he'd love to revoke that right

Before 2003, a homosexual couple were not able to get married in any state in America. Does this mean that every single government employee is homophobic? Of course not. Some people take longer to change their opinion on subjects, and learn as times in America change. If a "very out" homosexual woman or man went to shake Mike Pence's hand, do you think he would deny it? Of course not, he Pence cares about America and every citizen that inhabits this great country. Pence's views on marriage are very strict to the Bible (The oldest book in existence) he believes it is a sin to marry anyone other than the opposite sex.

Here is a real fact that you probably don't know because you either do not pay any attention to real politics or they just didnt show it on your FAKE NEWS channel that you watch.
    @Selch
The Trump administration announced sometime during February that they are currently seeking to decriminalize homosexuality across several dozen nations. I bet you didn't know that you can actually be killed for committing homosexual acts in some countries.
The reason you probably haven't heard about this is because it doesn't fit into the narrative that the media runs to make Trump look as terrible as possible.

This country has came an incredibly long way from racism, homophobia, antisemitism, etc. Everyone in this country has amazingly equal rights, and our current system is the easiest system in the world to work your way from the bottom, no matter your skin color, religion, race, beliefs.

Our current presidential administration has done many many amazing things, and if you truly believe it hasn't done anything than maybe you should google Trump derangement syndrome.

    Prove it.
(Also your random pointless claim doesn't excuse the 100 billion+ dollars per year that illegal immigrants cost us).

Ignoring your awful logic that all government employees agree with the current law in place, it's true that there were a ton of mainstream politicians who opposed the legalization in the early 2000s, but they didn't all make up supposed institutions that "celebrate and encourage the types of behaviors that facilitate the spreading of the HIV virus" to act as a dogwhistle for gay rights groups, hint at funding for conversion camps, oppose the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell (in 2010, which is after 2003 btw), or sign a bill that would make it a felony for same-sex couples just to apply for marriage licenses.
Huh, I guess he also supports stoning adulterers too
Here's an article on it from CNN. Here's one from Vox. Here's one from WaPo. Here's one from NBC. And another. Here's one from NYT. You get the point...

This isn't just something the administration is doing out of the goodness of their hearts, it was in response to a recent public execution of a gay man in Iran, a geopolitical rival. There's a reason they didn't do this when an abuse was committed by a country like Saudi Arabia, who's an ally. They'll take any opportunity possible to make Iran look bad on the world stage, but react mildly to similar atrocities committed by Saudi Arabia.

    ok
obviously this is one individual report and doesn't reflect the general economic consensus (which is hard to gather anyway), but I think you could benefit from reading it to understand the argument against the idea that illegal immigration is necessarily entirely negative.

Or, you know, you could just call it "fake news" in an effort to undermine everything that opposes your viewpoint
