    Hello everyone,

My name is Spencer, or as most of you recognize me, Scott11B. I have been with the MeepCraft community for quite some time. I've been around since October 2012. I am currently serving in the United States Army, as an Infantryman (11B). My whole life has been devoted to serving others. When I was still in school I volunteered for the Red Cross as a swim instructor, and later I worked at a large public pool as a lifeguard. Serving and protecting others has been my calling. It was always my dream to serve with military, and I have been going strong for almost four years now. I've served two combat tours to Southern Afghanistan, and it was actually upon my return that I discovered this server. I enjoyed Minecraft, and fell in love when I found MeepCraft. It was a great way to pass the time, and really helped me get my mind off of the past year, overseas. I love this community, but just like every community it has it's highs and lows. I took a long break from the community (about 3 1/2 months), but I am back to stay now. The transition from MeepNetworks back to the good 'ol MeepCraft took it's toll and it was time for a break. Like I said though, I am back once again. I love the community now, and it reminds me of the old Meep. Everything is fun and simple again.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Why:
I have had extensive service with the Meepcraft Staff. I served as everything from Helper to Admin, during the transition, and during MeepNetworks (a dark time that was). Post MN, I was a Supermod for a short period, before my resignation, and leave. While Admin I re-wrote the server rules, to be more concise and remove a lot of grey lines. I originally introduced the "meeble fines" for infractions, rather than extensively long bans. I will not take all the credit for this work, however. I was only able to complete these policies after long meetings and consultations with my fellow staff members. Being in the military, I understand the fundamental need for teamwork and communication. Without those, not organizations leadership can function. The Army values are something that I hold dear and apply to my every day actions, not just work.

Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless-Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. (LDRSHIP).

I have the experience that this team needs and I plan on leading and guiding newer staff to greater accomplishments in-game, I hope to be an example to them, and even though this is just a video-game, I hope that my conduct will leave an impression on those whom I serve and work with, within the community.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Purpose:
I know that this isn't a part of the application, but I felt that it was needed for myself, as a returning staff applicant. I hope to regain my previous status as an admin. I understand the terms of promotion, and I have no quarrel with progressing within my due time along with everyone else. I have serious ambition to be a pivotal part of this organization, again. If accepted, I hope that more responsibility is put upon me than would be put upon a normal new helper.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Weaknesses:
Now, on to my weaknesses. This is never the part anyone wants to write, but I'll be straight with you. No one is perfect, and no leader is perfect, either. As I am sure some of the veteran players can remember; I lost my cool for a while on the forums. I started arguments, and would not accept others opinions as a possibility. I was able to write an official apology following my actions, but the damage was done. Stress from my personal life had gotten the better of me, and the volatile nature of the community at the time, was too much. I cracked, and lost my temper. This was another factor leading to my resignation and leave.

I am very strong willed. This can be a weakness when it comes to accepting others ideas. This has been a issue that I have addressed, and I have worked persistently to improve this. I can promise that there will be no more meltdowns. I will still hold my ground if I feel passionately enough about the subject, but I will approach said disagreement with a little more tact than was previously displayed.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Conclusion:
In review of my application. I have served with the MeepStaff extensively. I believe that my experience will be a great asset to this team. My leadership abilities, that have been trained into who I am, by the Army, will help guide that experience in the right direction. I love this community, and I hope to work with it's leaders once again.

I was sure that I was going to get a few comments like this, and they are justly deserved. Take a look in my weaknesses section. MN just became too stressful for me at the time. I was dealing with a lot of career and personal issues. I just let it all get to me, which led to my attitude, my inactivity, and eventual disappearance. A lot has changed in the past few months. Everything in real life as sorted itself out, and I'm ready for some fun, and helping y'all out again.

As far as what you said about the power trip. I did realize that this had become an issue. This problem arose due to the volatile staff relations. We were all treated like slaves under CG, and we didn't really have much of a choice when it came to what he said. I have never been one to disobey orders. I promise you that I fought for the community in meetings and personal conversations with the staff. I was not going to defy leadership in-front of the community though. We all saw how that ended for staff who did that. That was a very thin line that I was walking.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that happening again. This community is a complete 180 change from when I left. Thanks for addressing this. I feel like I should have touched more on it in my application.

Back, just in time to leave my two cents on this.

I know that I've had a bad history with staff on staff apps, but if it means this being the only one I'm allowed to comment on, than so be it. I've worked with this guy through thick and thin, and over time, he became the best guy I could ever ask to work with.

He's efficient, he's logical, and he's trustworthy. He works well under pressure, and he knows how to deal with people. As a staff sergeant in the US Army, he's got experience and grit that few others here can compare with. In his time back on MN, he was the real leader, the guy who stood up when something wasn't right, the guy who you could count on when things looked pretty grim.

I'm glad that he's coming back to staff, and he's really one of the most deserving.

Hire this man, you won't regret it. He's already done so much for this server, and I know he can do a lot more.
