If your account was hacked from an external source staff can do an ip check to see who accessed your account.

What he's saying is if someone accessed your account without permission or hacked into it, Staff can scan your account to see who's IP shows up.

Basically if your account was "Hacked" it would have a different IP because the hacker has a different IP than yours.
