Eh. Clannad made me cry a LOT. AnoHana failed to manage to make me cry. So, Clannad > AnoHana.
While AnoHana managed to get good character development (unlike Angel Beats which has terrible character development), I can't say the storyline itself was sad. Clannad was heart breaking, but AnoHana was not so much.
Clannad made me cry during the Fuko part and the After-Story.
The regular Clannad was a bit too slow for my liking, but the After-Story exceeded my expectations, and I learn more about it every extra time I watch it! I'm in the middle of watching anohana and log horizon though...
The thing about the first part is that the slowness is what makes the After-Story sad. It has amazing character development! All the happiness and joyfulness you see in the characters at first is what makes After Story so sad!
Angel Beats rushes into the sadness, that's why I didn't really like it.
