Okay! I'm just now starting to get interested in Anime. I used to hate all of it, until I saw Howls Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, and Spirited Away (one of my favorite movies)

What shows do you recommend?

Kill la Kill, Black Bullet, Mirai Nikki, Clannad, Angel Beats, Spice and Wolf, Blue Exorcist, Sekirei, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, Sekai Seifuku, Madoka Magica.
They cover a vast number of genres, animation types, topics/subjects, lengths, etc. All are nsfw/lewd in some form or another, some much more than others.

If you're just starting out, I'd make an account on Reddit and post to www.reddit.com/r/animesuggest, asking to be suggested anime, since you're new to it. Watch Angel Beats while you wait for the comments to rack up. Make a MAL account (http://myanimelist.net/), too, to keep track of all the Anime you watch, are planning to watch, and have watched.

I'll give some that I like that you haven't said yet. Code Geass, Kanon, One Piece, Naruto/Shippuden, DB/Z/GT, Air, Inuyasha, Fairy Tail, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Rave Master, Guilty Crown, etc. I like long animes/manga.
