Recently, players have voiced concerns that the virtual shop and minigame servers are not being given the proper attention. I can assure you that both of these issues are being worked on, but these are not my assignments. We are waiting for Coelho to finish important development in this area. Expectations for the virtual shop and minigame servers have made it increasingly difficult for me to release new features to the server, and nearly impossible to gather constructive criticism or suggestions for those features because the topic of conversation consistently returns to "vshop". It is impossible for me to have a normal conversation without this topic being brought up.
I am well aware that the vshop is in demand. Thank you for informing me every day, I appreciate your concern. I assure you that there is nothing that I can do to expedite Coelho's work. I can also assure that many issues are being addressed simultaneously while I am working on updates, they simply are not announced because they are not as newsworthy. There is no harm being done in implementing features to make MeepCraft more fun!

Town Hall Meeting Notes - The 2020 Revamp

Top Level Information
There will be a new towny world called towny extreme. It will be an option for players bored of regular towny to enjoy. The current towny world will continue being the main thing on Meep - it will not be a gamma 2.0.

Towny extreme
Stuff (meebles, items) from current towny will not transfer to towny extreme.
The currency and items of towny extreme will be entirely separate from the main world.
Entirely different gameplay styles - No teleporting at all (no pwarps, sethomes, etc) except to the towny spawn. No vshop or jobs either. Towny war is on, along with a bounties plugin. Mobs and bosses will wander the world.
Upon death, you will respawn in world spawn. You will lose all your items, but not your money or towny stats.
Most donator perks, including fly, won’t work. This world is intended to be perk-less.
The world has an entirely custom terrain in both the overworld and nether. There will be no separate resource world. Towny wild will be editable. Railroads will be protected from grief, as will nether tunnels.
Towns will be able to be made in the nether and end as well. End and nether travel will be difficult.
Everyone will start in the same location. There will be a buffer around spawn to prevent towns taking over it.
The main source of meebles will be dungeons. There are currently 12 dungeons being developed, more will be added. A new custom quest system will be tied into the dungeons with mobs and bosses.
Events and quests will bring in custom items and custom recipes.
Additional notes:
Resets for towny extreme will be considered but depends on how it goes.
No in-game way to trade meebles for extreme towny currency.
Amount of towns will be capped. Nations will be enabled. Towny map will show towns.
No player limit.
No nutcrackers.
Released in stages.
Stupid people banned so Adrian not allowed in.
Other Changes
Server-wide:
Anti-afk plugin/rule removed
Chat now PG-13 → swearing is allowed, sexual content and harassment (swearing directed at someone) are not.
The chat plugin is currently being rewritten (will not launch with revamp)
Lag is being worked on, however, most of the current lag is due to the host server, which cannot be changed without better funding.
All old players will be notified about the revamp via email.
A new resource pack.
Forums will be getting a re-do down the line.
Ads:
Meep will be airing some ads, but less than it had before. Earlier ads were too expensive. New ones will be mostly social media based.
Voting:
Voting will be enabled for all servers (rewards for skyblock, towny extreme, etc). Voting won’t directly tie into the eco, as it does currently.
1.14 / 1.15:
Not ever updating to 1.14, performance is atrocious. Considering 1.15 – needs to first be updated more. It is better than 1.13 and 1.14, but not 1.12 atm.
Towny:
Towny’s /warp wild will be reset, along with nether and end. Wild resets will now happen every six months.
Town and nation cost may increase.
Minigames and parkour will still reward the main towny.
Three more parkours are being added
Vshop item cap will be buffed.
The nether difficulty will increase.
End items will regenerate.
Jobs:
Artist nerfed. Adventurer, mystic, maybe blacksmith buffed. Adding missing perks.
Sixth job slot and new set of perks at level 250, which will be different for every job.
Some experience and payment formulas adjusted.
Mystic level 100 glitch will be fixed. Fishing competitions will return.
Combat server:
Will host a new terrarium (pictures below) and other pvp games. All will run on 1.8 pvp.
The old dungeon game and the LOTR kitpvp map will return. Hopefully ctf (the original version) in the future, but it is not currently in development.

Spawn:
New spawn, based on the 2015 version but with revisions and major editions.
Fly will be enabled for fly ranks.
Spleef will be present. Terrarium will be separate though (see above.)
Ability to see some of the previous spawns.
Player holograms are returning.
Creative:
Will be reset (builds you want to keep can be world edited into the new creative, ask Clue)
A progression system that ties into the economy with perks like world edit, hdb, more creative plots.
Creative plots will line up with chunk borders.
Plots will be 48x48 (instead of 42x42)
If players are offline for a long time with nothing on plot, they will be kicked.

Firestick04 held a Meep Euro with France v Portugal. Our reporters got some great footage and held an interview with the most crucial player; the football (or soccer ball for our readers from the states)! “Through a minecraft server list, I quit twice after it being easier for me to die than to buy food(literally). My friend and I were taking over server economies. I remembered how hard meep was and came here. I'd say I have quite successfully conquered meep as I have many stacks of cookies.”

“Yes, well I really like them at least. It started with a 3 year old obsession and I have come to find them very interesting animals. (They produced the milk for those cookies)”

‘Pigeo and Sheepyet’
Take your seat at the /pwarp ipick theater and relax with a play or two. ‘Pigeo and Sheepyet,’ directed by @Belldorado and produced by @Phoosey , is a take on the classic Romeo and Juliet with a magical minecraft twist! It features @HollyLeaf as Pigeo, @Duckeh_The_Fox as Sheepyet, and @iiTzJDL as an Evil Squid! It has a wonderful set created by @Belldorado. The acting was top notch and the special effects were a splendid addition to the play. I highly recommend seeing this play.

- /Chest: The bug with /chest was corrected and is now working correctly (players lost no items they had in chests)
- /warp shop:MeepCity Market prices have been updated! You can now also sell more items @ /warp shop
- /warp shop:MeepMas present heads are now for sale @/warp shop
- /warp maze: A unique Conquerer outfit has been added to the prize (uncraftable, you can only earn it once!)

Today we released the new MeepCraft spawn. One of the goals of the new spawn is to make traveling faster and more convenient for players. We prioritized the parts of the old spawn that we felt were most important to players. Central facilities are now located around a central area (centrum), and portals to each world are arranged around the main spawn point. Take a few moments to familiarize yourself the new setup.
The new spawn also makes it easier for new players to start playing the game. It is now easier to locate and play minigames with the new in-spawn lobby system. The minigame lobby automatically hides players near the panels in order to ensure that players have no difficulty joining and finding games. In order to bring attention to the economy part of the game, we positioned the Towns and Wilderness worlds as primary portals to the left and right of the spawn point.
The Centrum includes all the activities that revolve around the economy community. Around the it you will find the bank, parkour hub, and the Centrum arena. Underneath the Centrum there are special shops for both citizens and donators. There is also a hidden parkour course that wraps around the main spawn building, beginning at the parkour hub. The staff and donator lounges are positioned on both sides of the Centrum arena.
By constructing two central points in the spawn we are able to more efficiently serve the needs of a larger MeepCraft community. The spawn construction however, isn't done yet. We are still in the process of rebuilding the landscaping around the main spawn point, changing several features in the terrarium, improving the staff and donator lounges, and adding more functionality and features to the spawn. The new /box update has been released! The Box of Perks allows you to visualize all of your rank upgrades in one simple GUI*. The box shows the items you've unlocked and the items you could unlock by upgrading your rank at meepcraft.com/upgrade! Clicking on an ability item in the box will activate the special ability, allowing you to easily access all of your perks without having to type commands.
Rank perk updates will be added to the /box as they are released, including a variety of gadgets. For more information about upcoming features, take a look at MeepCraft EULA Compliance.
