The complete Jobs Revamp is now live! It's been a project in the work for the last six months, but it's finally here. I'd like to thank you all for your patience while this system was worked on. I will be posting a massive tutorial thread at a later date which will cover specifics of each job, however, here are some of the primary changes and features you will notice:

• All previous stats from the Jobs system before have been reset. This was ultimately required due to the mass re-balancing of the system and change of jobs (some no longer exist, for example)
• You may only take 2 jobs at a time by default. This is absolutely intentional, however you may earn more slots by performing tasks in your jobs to gain jobs points. Jobs points can be used in the /jobs shop to buy up to three additional slots (allowing you five total jobs).
• Every job has been given three slots for "Job perks." These perks are earned when you reach lvl 25, 50, and 100. (E.g. the level 25 Digger can buy bonus XP tools on the jobs shop, lvl 50 Builder gains armor stand tools in Towny, etc.)
• It's highly, highly recommended you work with other players to benefit each other in jobs. Every job has been given items to produce or use that are affected by another job. Most items within the game can be used by two to four jobs in its various forms and stages. You will be able to read more on these combinations in the extended guide to jobs or by testing things for yourself.

@Twomoo hid 380k’s worth in gold somewhere in towny. The treasure is underground, marked with a pressure plate. The location is purportedly within 2km of the Greater Mooville Area, and has not ever been claimed other than to hide the gold. Good luck searching!

The star of last week’s Meeptimes has been murdered in the intervening two weeks.

@evilalec555 groaned as he got up from bed. He looked at his watch. While he napped a few hours had sped by, leaving the kitchen incident in hazy memory. Realizing he desperately needed to feel better in time for all the Halloween parties tomorrow night, he decided that more serious measures were required. He dug out the most recent addition of the pwarp list book and searched the pages until he found what he wanted.

“Aha! If this works I’ll be well in time for parties.” Alec headed out to the underlined pwarp.

“Welcome to pwarp pots.” he heard a voice behind him as he walked into the small wooden house. Behind him, @Alphaprime1212 was polishing a glass bottle to put up onto the display stand.

“I need a healing potion please, and soon!” Alec said.

“Oh, another such request. I think I only have one left. So many people wanting to feel well before the festivities.” Alpha replied.

“Thank you so much! Happy Halloween!” Alec said as he took the potion from alpha. He gulped down the fairly smelling but nasty-tasting drink.

“You too!”

Then, just as Alec was heading out the door, alpha calls back.

“You participating in the Halloween house contest?”

“Oh no! I had totally forgotten about that!”

“Oh, that’s no good. You still have some time, good luck!”

Back at home, Alec was frantically running from corner to corner, trying to scrounge up all the orange banners, purple streamers, and skeleton statuettes that he could. His parrots, excited that he had finally figured out the message - if not in the way they intended - rushed to help. For the next four hours, nine figures swarmed about the cabin, doing their best to bring the house to competitive shape.

Finally, exhausted, all the inhabitants gathered about the crackling fireplace and relaxed from the long day’s work. One by one they fell asleep, to awaken only once the sun had risen on the last day of October.

Halloween day was abuzz with energy. People were busy putting out their candy baskets out on their porches, baking orange frosting-covered cakes, and setting in place the last of their decorations. After his morning cup of coffee (this time with no interruptions) Alec walked out onto his front stoop and observed last night’s creation.

Orange and purple streamers came down from the roof in thick clumps. His two attic windows were painted over in black and dark green swirls, seeming to spiral into nothingness. His balcony was painted a bright red, with an awning stretched over from the wall all the way to the railing, covering the lookout. Below, a wide, dark red banner stretched across the whole front of the house. Hanging over it were two precisely positioned strings with grizzly looking soup cans hung onto them.

Alec was staring into the enormous maw of the scariest clown he had ever had the displeasure of seeing.

“Wow, that’s some epic work right there! I was thinking you wouldn’t enter since your house was bare for so long, but it seems that you have a fighting chance.” The voice of @CrohnZero reached Alec’s ears from afar. He turned, and sure enough, the rapidly approaching figure was indeed him.

“Thanks! Do you know who the major competitors are?” he responded.

“Yeah. @Meznik is hoping to win, he decorated his house well. @CluelessKlutz worked for many hours on his. @agnd is also doing his best to take home the 100,000. There are a few others who have good submissions, but I can’t remember on the spot. You have pretty tough competition, but I think you might just win.”

“I haven’t seen anyone else’s build yet, so it’s a relief to hear that I’m not far behind.”

“Oh, and @AdrianIsEpic is rumored to be working on something as well, but no one knows exactly what it is. We’re all disconcerted though, as you can imagine.”

“Right. Hopefully he keeps it within reason.” Alec replied with some distaste, the bitter memory of the fishing trip still raw on his mind.

“Well, see ya around. I still have many houses to check out.” Crohn said, and sped down the path towards civilization.

Around noon, the five judges of the competition arrived. They inspected every nook and cranny, muttering comments under their breath along the way. Alec hoped that the words were kind, but he was clearly not meant to hear, and he didn’t want to interfere.

As she was leaving, @Vexmae looked back and said “The results will be announced at eight this evening, just before the fireworks, in the town square. We’ll see you there!”

And so, Alec spent the next eight hours pacing around his home (which was now significantly harder with the many seasonal statues, pumpkins, candles, and cauldrons), anxiously waiting for it to be an appropriate time to head down to town.

Once the hour hand hit 5, he locked his front door and waved his parrots goodbye, hoping that the next time he saw them he’d be 100,000 meebles richer.

When Alec approached the town border, he the bubbling excitement became tangible. @Epixaid was buying some candy from @the_boss, @BlendyCat was stopping by the bakery for a special cake order, @Synergizer was busy explaining about the decorations for his castle, and many others were rushing through the streets, busy to get to wherever they were going before the parties started.

Without much of a clear purpose, Alec wandered around talking with friends until the festivities began at around six. The costumes, dancing, free soda, and an abundance of candy all made for a great evening, but in the back of his mind, Alec was concentrated only on the prize. The rush of the competition had gotten to him, and he was obsessed.

Eight o’clock came, and with it, as promised, came the Halloween House Decoration Competition Committee, ready to announce the winner in the form of a stylish cake recreation of the victorious project.

A veiled platter was brought onto the stage.

A drum beat echoed through the hushed crowd and against the stone buildings.

@EllieEllie grasped the cover with both hands and threw it off to one side.

Wild applause erupted from the masses. Quickly followed by deadly still silence.

The cake was not of one of the participating houses. It was of the town square, complete with bell tower, river, and even a crowded plaza. And clearly visible on the face of the clock was a digital screen showing the number 5. Which switched to 4. 3… 2… 1…

The cake exploded in a violent eruption of hundreds of small pieces, knocking down @CuddlyKittens14, who was holding the cake. This though, was just the beginning. The many small pieces weren’t bits of frosting. Instead, whizzing firecrackers leaped through the air, finding themselves amidst the spectators, on roofs, and on the decorative streamers hung throughout the square, which promptly caught on fire.

From the bottom of the plate opened up a small panel, which consequently released another barrage of airborne explosives. This time, fireworks. Illuminating the faces of the stunned judges, the bright blue letters in the sky spelled “Adrian 4 Best Halloween Prankster”

What’s your favorite thing to do on Meep?
Building and interacting with the community.

You manage a district in Legend that’s off from the main capital. How do the builds vary from the main location’s?
There’s more shape and diversity in them.

You built a Halloween build in creative. What made you do that and what inspired you to make it an ast build?
I was bored and figured I could make some money by entering. And the asts made it more lively.

How did you decide who was bad and who was good?
Admins are naturally bad, that’s how.

Are there other things that you like doing as much as building on the server?
Messing around sometimes, in global or in local chat.

Do you have any hobbies outside of Meep?
Breathing.

When and how did you find out about Meep?
I joined Meep… uhh, a few days ago? Maybe a week?

What’s your favorite part of Meep?
Low lag was a big thing. You can actually fight a zombie on this server. But also, many of the people on here are quite friendly and helpful.

If you were given 1 million meebles right now, what would you use them on?
Probably try and buy a rank.

How did you come up with your name?
I came up with my original name when I was younger and it was sort of… how should I put it? Boastful and uppity. I became a very self confident and proud person after years of bullying taught me that if you don’t praise yourself, no one will.

Like I said, that was my original name, and as I matured as a person, I grew to think that didn’t represent me at the time. I chose my name on an anarchy server, believe it or not, when I decided I’d rather be known for harmony and kindness.

What’s your favorite hobby outside of gaming?
I solve rubiks cubes. I can solve one in about 40 seconds, but when I practiced more, I could do it in around 25. If I made it my mission, I could make competitive time, but it was always just a hobby for me. I have a collection of several sizes and kinds.

Another hobby of mine used to be keeping a dream journal and trying to lucid dream. I love psychology stuff. Some might say psychoanalyzing my friends is a hobby of mine. I also got into hypnosis for a while. Hypnotized my gf a few times.

What’s your favorite book or movie franchise? Like Harry Potter, Star Wars, MCU?
I’m afraid this one might get me in trouble cause I’m not much of a geek when it comes to those kinds of things. I’ve never read or seen any of those. I don’t even know what MCU is.

MCU refers to marvel movies.
Ahh. I’ve liked the MCU, but it hasn’t really spoken to me like Star Wars and Harry Potter have to others. I guess I liked Ender’s Game and Orson Scott Card’s books, but I read those when I was in high school. I would have read a whole series about the virtual reality game thing that Ender played.

Anything else you’d like to add?
I love Meep so far. From what I’ve seen, it’s a positive feeling community. I think because the staff care so much about their members.

As for me, I play on minecraft servers for the people. I’m no good at building things, but I come onto servers anyway to see if I can build some friendships.

Hello there, I hope you all are having a wonderful day. As you may have seen, the team has been hard at work on quite a few projects, and it's an absolute pleasure to show off our brand new Parkour map!

The Airport map is a medium difficulty course that gets progressively harder has the course continues. With 7 unique checkpoints, it presents a variety of areas within the environment based on a Boomo map created by @0zblox We'd also like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who has worked on this course, including @EllieEllie @qazini @iKitten @onceuponajano @LordInateur and myself. Enjoy!

Story-time with the Crew ft. @xX___Kirby___Xx
CRASH!!! BANG!!!! Studstone look out! I just dropped the pawful of rocks from above!” Some mysterious person yelled from the top of a cliff above Studstone. Her name was Mandy, Mandy Rose! What a charming name it was indeed, and Studstone thought so too. He had very keen interest in her.

Studstone did not hear the rocks coming or Mandy, so he just stood, talking to the warrior nearby. The warrior heard though, so he jumped out and ran to stop the rocks. They were small too, as if they were any larger, he would have collapsed. The warrior was young, and he had had loads of talent. The warrior was the fine, Sticker.

“You need to be more careful Studstone, as when you become a warrior in less than a quarter moon, you must be very cautious around your surroundings, as those rocks would have got you there for sure!” Sticker said, exhausted as that was a huge load for him to carry when he was a new warrior. He was one dozen moons old and still he could not hold that. Sticker wondered how she pushed the rocks down at about five moons old.

Her power was incredible, but she wanted to train to be a medicine cat, and she told the other medicine cat. She hoped to get in the medicine den, but if not, she would understand.


The morning patrol returned, and everyone was exited. The naming ceremony is today. Everyone was rather exited to have a new apprentice. Studstone thought otherwise. “Hey Studstone, are you exited? I am sort of exited myself. Mandy is also five moons now too!” Sticker said, apparently wanting something desperately. Studstone had a strange plan that is unheard of. Studstone was hanging around with Mandy again, with special powers, that nobody knew that existed.


At this time, they were talking about the five clans, StarClan, the clan that watches over them, RainClan, the clan that absolutely LOVES water, WindClan, the one whose scent is strong with the wind, InfernoClan, the clan of fire, you must stay away from that clan, as it can completely burn your clan down if you get them angry, and finally but not the last clan, RockClan, who is very pure to the land around them and the total of earth. They have their ups and downs.

Studstone and such are in WindClan.

The leader of WindClan, is AirStar, he is very short tempered, but very kind truly deep down inside. The leader of StarClan is PawStar, the leader of InfernoClan is FireStar, the leader of RockClan is GroundStar, and the leader of RainClan is RiverStar. They chose their names if they become master, or they can stay with the old name they were born with. The kits are named their beginning of their name with kit at the end like PawKit. Studstone was born differently. Studstone was special, as it is not Studkit, or the apprentice name, Studpaw, he went into his warrior or leader name. No other cat had that name. Studstone was a gift from StarClan to WindClan, and he was destined to make his own clan someday.

“It’s time now!” Studstone said super excitedly. “Ok it is now time for the naming ceremony!” AirStar said, wondering who will be chosen. “Studstone, you are up!” AirStar said. “Who will choose him?” There were crickets chirping. “Anyone?” Still, nobody wanted Studstone. “We’ll come back to Studstone’ AirStar said, rather surprised that so many warriors don’t want him. “Mandy!” AirStar said. Still nobody wanted her either? “Does anyone want anyone?” AirStar said, rather confused and shocked at the same thing. Still… nobody wanted them. “We shall make a new clan THIS DAY” AirStar said this. “Studstone, greet StarClan at this spell.

Starclan, Help up make the new colan. Greet Studstone at the tone!

StarClan spirits whispered in his ear. “Studstone, gift of StarClan, will make a clan. Yes…. What is the name you seek?” The spirits asked him. “Yell it out to the rest of the clan.” They said.

“THUNDERCLAN” Studstone yelled. The clan was shocked. Some of them even fell over. The spirits yelled to everyone, “Thunderclan it is! Now, let’s see… you would like to be called Studstone still correct, or do you want StudStar or StudStarStone or StudstoneStar?” StarClan spirits asked. “Two names, normally Studstone but will also be StudStar” Studstone said. The spirits said goodbye and good luck on your journey. Now Studstone must choose who to take with him.

“Can I take Mandy, as the medicine cat, can I take Sticker, as the deputy, and can I take two warriors or kits or apprentices?” Studstone said. Mandy was shocked as it is the naming ceremony and she was going to join a new clan.

Sticker, on the other hand, thought he was going to go with him. Mandy was also very surprised because she was not chosen as the medicine apprentice, but she is not no longer an apprentice, she is the medicine cat. “Would you like to take Foxpaw, Icepaw, and their parents, Daisy and, well… you got Sticker, their father. You are ready to take some land from the wilderness, correct?” AirStar asked, ready to let them go, but quite sad at the same time. “Yes, but

I must say one thing to the clan.” Studstone said, “

We may fight in notorious battles, we may lose members of the clans, but never forget, that we are all one with StarClan.”

That was a true speech. Studstone got the others and left silently, mumbling that same speech again and again. The new clan was now muttering about what to do. They had never had to find new territory before.

“We should head to the mountains, but we need to be quick, as if we get caught by other clans, I would lose my pelt!” Studstone advised, suddenly cautious when the other clans lead their patrols. Cautiously, they ran through the dry ground, up to a large hill, where they could see every cat in the four clans, working together.

“We need to work like InfernoClan, they are constantly working.” Studstone said, quite impressed at their work. Sticker saw that too. Soon, the whole ThunderClan was watching the clans. “We need to head to the forests and mountains, as the water and the moor will be a good source of prey and herbs.” Mandy said, very surprised that she would think of herbs like that.

Mandy came through the territory and suddenly stopped. “I’m hungry,” Mandy said,” I want a nice, moist, and fresh mouse,” She had not had a mouse in quite a while. “She is right, we have not had food all day.” Studstone told Daisy. “Foxpaw and Icepaw are extremely hungry as well.” They had quite an empty stomach.

How did you two meet?
I don't remember the very moment we met but I know it was in Legend, I think I knew of Sophie before we started talking properly. I found out she was also English - literally thought everyone was American before I met her - and it went from there, we bonded pretty quickly and became really close. The one thing I am thankful for above all else on this server is the friendships I've made here and Sophie is one in a million. I've been lucky enough to meet up with her twice outside of meep in the real world, the first time she came to me and I travelled to see her the next time, and there was no awkwardness like I'd expected (I'm an awkward person, pretty shy) and it was like the screen to person transition didn't exist, like we'd always been friends. I cannot thank Meep enough, and the creation of Legend, for facilitating one of the closest, if not the closest, friendship I've ever had. I love her unconditionally and we're always there for each other. - @EllieEllie

I believe it was in the very early stages of building the current Legend, bonding over plot building, and with that we became neighbours! Since then our friendship has blossomed into something beautiful and I couldn’t have found a better best friend to have! I shall match Ellie’s love and more because she is one incredible woman! - @onceuponajano


What has to be your favorite memory together?
I have no idea what Sophie will say about this but mine is such a small and insignificant sounding thing that just seems to signify something really important to me. When Sophie first travelled to come and see me, we were talking the whole morning on discord, she'd gotten up super early and caught the train so we'd have the full day together, and like I said we were chatting the whole time really excited. It's funny because our messages just stop at "I'm walking" (me) and "same" (Sophie). But I know that a minute after these messages we had run up to each other and just hugged each other and it meant so much to finally see her in person. I didn't cry but I was really close hahah. We then had a great day talking to each other and we actually had a video chat with darkknight49x which was fun! - @EllieEllie

I’d actually say the same thing as Ellie and the first time we had met in person, it was a moment that I wish I could have caught as it was very special! The point when we realised we were in reaching distance from each other and just running towards one another, not letting go for ages #meeppowercouple - @onceuponajano

You've both been building a town called Blah that got rated as the number one town by lollisweet's contest. What makes it special?
Blah is special, not because of the material things but because I got to make it with my best friend (even if it's a good 65%/35% build ratio (cough pull your weight, Sophie cough). It's a really cute town that hopefully will have more residents soon but I'm not too worried about that because the process has been fun and rewarding in its own way. We have one very special resident and have recently sold some embassies so we're up and coming slowly but surely. I think Lolli enjoyed how the town is small but there's a really cosy feeling about it that just creates a peaceful atmosphere. Plus, it has the best name ever. - @EllieEllie

Blah is unique which is why it’s special, even down to the name of the first thing that came to Ellie’s mind. It’s a quaint little village that Ellie and myself are proud of, and seeing it grow and gain more residents each day makes us smile! I think Lolli enjoyed the cosyness alongside the peaceful nature about the surroundings. - @onceuponajano

Hey guys, it's Christmas time and we have made you all an awesome event world for you to play in.
There is a lot of different things you can do in the Christmas event.

There is Santa's village and workshop area for you to explore, Christmas Parkour, Fishing competitions, Iceboat Racing, Mob arena, Special Christmas Quest and dispensers placed randomly to get snowballs for snowball fights.



You can get to the Christmas event via the portal in spawn, near the Christmas tree, or /warp Christmas.

The event will be open until 27th December.

Make sure to come and have some fun. There will be meeble prizes as well as some special prizes that can be obtained from the mob drops in the mob arena.

Only a small update for you guys today: the MeepQuests system has been completely rewritten and with it the previously broken towns-based quests Towns Tutorial and Underwater Rescue have made a return and are available from /warp Quests.

Our current quests now consist of:

• Stolen Treasure, 10k Reward
• Time Crimestoppers, 5k Reward
• Towns Tutorial, 5k Reward
• Underwater Rescue, 5k Reward

Look out for more exciting new quests coming soon to MeepCraft.

Town Plot List
Teleport to all the land your town owns with the /townlist command to never lose a plot again!

New Nation Level
An additional nation rank, Dominion, has been added with a 250 plot bonus. Achieve this rank by growing your nation to over 150 residents!

New Town Level
Prove the might of your town by achieving the rank of Mega City with 100 residents!

Town Stats
Ever wondered how your town is doing? Now you can do /tstats to see plenty of info about your town!

Nation Stats
In the same feature, you can now check the stats of a nation using /nstats.

Virtual Shop Updates
The virtual shop has been updated to now include the new items added in the 1.12 update. More info here.

Nation Titles
Nation titles are now displayed in town chat (/tc) and nation chat (/nc)! Get your nation’s king to set your own title today with /n set title [player] [title]!

New Towns Set To Closed
New towns towns are now automatically set to closed when they are created. No longer will you have to worry about players warping to your new town without your permission! Type /t toggle public to allow anyone to warp to your town.

Nation Prefixes Fixed
Instead of a nation being referred to as ‘The MeepCraft Realm,’ the same nation will be called ‘MeepCraft (Realm).’

Skyblock Revamp
Ore generators, a new shop, a PvP arena, island leaderboard, custom enchantments, and spawners have been added to Skyblock!


The Project - Gameplay Updates

What are the Gameplay Updates?
Over the past two weeks, our development team has been working on several minor updates to the MeepCraft gameplay experience. These updates include the addition of Party Chat to our existing chat system. The Virtual Shop has been updated to include the new items introduced in the 1.12 update, along with some other new features that can be seen here. This series of updates has also included a range of updates to the Towns Gamemode, including the addition of nation titles to town chat, three new commands, /townlist, /tstats and /nstats. For more information of the towns updates see this thread. Finally, a new way to trade items is currently in the works, that allows players to safely trade items and meebles with each other, without fear of theft. The new /trade command will open a gui for players to drop items and meebles into and only when both players have agreed on the trade will the goods be sent. Look out for this new /trade feature and make sure check out all the new completed features on the server.

What is it like working on many different projects like these?
Working on different projects like these is fun because I get to work on a variety of different projects that all benefit the server, but also a great learning experience because I gain knowledge of how the different parts of Meep function and how other developers structure their code. - @jadenPete

I find that working on a variety of projects as I have done over the past few week is a lot more enjoyable as a developer and allows me to keep working on new things in a short space of time. - @Vamp1re_Man


What was your role on this?
For the most part I oversee the final testing and implementation of new plugins and bug-fixes on the server. - @LordInateur

My role in the VShop update was fixing the bugs and implementing the features listed on the Trello card. Although I did a good portion of the testing, Lord was responsible for the final testing and some of the early testing. - @jadenPete

My role throughout the past two weeks has been to both develop and test each of the minor projects that I have been working on, being the new towny additions and party chat. - @Vamp1re_Man


How difficult are they to implement?
It mostly depends on the project. A project that I'm developing from scratch is almost always more difficult than maintaining and adding to an existing project because I have to form a plan for how it will work and there isn't functionality already there. Working on an existing project is easier, however I do not have as much knowledge of how it works compared to a project that I developed myself. - @jadenPete

The main difficulty that I have found in these projects is being able to understand a plugin that was written by someone else enough to be able to make your own changes without affecting any of the other functions run by that plugin. Both Towny and ZawmgChat are vital plugins to the server and I definitely needed to take special care to fully understand how to safely add in the new features. - Vamp1re_Man


In what way do you see these updates benefitting the server?
These updates are crucial to ensuring that our players experience seamless and enjoyable in-game time. For the past few months, our tech team has been working super hard on squashing the bugs that have been around the server for ages--these updates will help us devote more time to developing brand new things for the server that players can have fun with.- @LordInateur

The bug fixes should provide a more stable experience, while the fixed item names should make selling items easier. New items have also been added and sub-ids are now supported. /sales should help players track their history and help players to get an overall idea of what is trending and the overall changes in the economy. - @jadenPete

In the case of the updates that I have been working, I can see them benefiting the server by creating a more expansive and immersive gameplay environment for our players. Both party chat and the town statistics commands are features that I are making life easier for the average meeper. No longer will you need to pull out your calculator to manage your town’s finances or send the same private message to your three friends on the server, town stats and party chat have got you covered. - @Vamp1re_Man


How do you oversee the development team’s work being implemented?
Vamp1re_Man and jadenPete have been wonderful at constantly updating the various plugins, and so most of my work includes encouraging them to make their plugins "unbreakable" before I go in to test them, working with the Admins to prioritize the items to be worked on, and ensuring that there is as little downtime as possible when we implement a new changes on the server. - @LordInateur


When updating something like the virtual shop, what process do you go through to learn how someone else’s work operates?
Usually the name of a class can give me an overall idea of what it's purpose is. If I need to know where a specific command or event operates, I look at the main class which registers all of the events and commands. Comments also prove to be very useful when I'm looking to know how a certain function operates. If all else fails, I can look at the code itself to know how it operates, though comments are more efficient. - @jadenPete


What kind of features were you looking to add within the parties system?
Party chat has been something that I have wanted to work on for a while, and after working on ZawmgChat to add nation titles, I figured that I might as well take a swing at party chat as well. For any of you who keep yourselves updated with trello, you’ll know that a party-wide /tpahere command was something that was on my list, and is now implemented on the server. For future party updates, party sethomes or party warps is definitely something that I’d like to do, and I’ve also received the suggestion to add a co-leader rank, which will also be added when I get around to it. - @Vamp1re_Man


How do you go about implementing changes to Towny?
Towny is undoubtedly one of the most important plugins on MeepCraft and any developer that is directly making changes to it would need to tread carefully. Fortunately for me, I never had to directly edit the towny plugin, rather edit a plugin called MeepTownyExpansion, which manages our custom towny additions like the plotlist command and player name changes. Despite this, I still needed to access towny data, and thus needed to thoroughly test the plugin for any errors, and the new dev server set up by @LordInateur was extremely helpful during this process. Lord has definitely been a big help with accelerating and improving the test phase of development since he joined the team. - @Vamp1re_Man

Storytime with the Crew - The Parkour Struggle is Real!

Parkour, one of the most challenging, frustrating, anger awaking, races to do. Some love it, some hate it and some tolerate it. Most however share a mutual goal, competing in the Speed run! People gather from all around, friends come together to train. New friends are made, and hobbies are discovered.

It was Onceuponajano’s dream to compete in the speed run. She had watched people from afar competing in the race and she thought it was time she gave it a shot. As she walked around the arena she thought about her chances, she currently was not the best parkourer, and to actually stand a chance she would have to train, and practise, take on the maps she once thought was impossible.

Once set off on her mission to train, starting with the easier course, knowing she could complete this one as she had completed it before. It was time to tackle Jungle! As soon as once stepped into the portal to be taken to jungle, she thought about how hard the race is going to be.

“Don’t do this to yourself, just practise, and you can do it!” Once muttered to herself, shoving the negative thoughts away.

As once started the first map, doing the jumps she had practised over and over, she smiled triumphantly as she beasted through the map. As she rounded the corner to the first checkpoint she thought to herself that maybe she had a chance, if she practised like she did this map then maybe she had a chance.

Once continued with the map and quickly reached the finish line, once she crossed over it, she realised that her fastest score was beaten. “Yes!” She shouted happily.

Once quickly warped back to the map selector pleased with her small achievement, Now it was time to move up a level and to attempt something a bit more difficult, it was time to attempt Cactus.

Once had completed this map at least one time before so she had some idea of how to do it. As she attempted the first few jumps she winced at the damage from the cactus. As she tried to move on she was knocked off and sighed in disappointment. Taking a deep breath in she started again, and managed to make it to the first checkpoint. Once continued with the map and after a few mishaps finished it.

“Two down, five to go!” Once said to herself as she headed towards her next mission, Flower.

Once had attempted this map in the past a few times and had made it past the first two flowers but could never make it any further, hopefully today was the day that should could complete this map.

After she went through the portal she saw a familiar face, “Heya Alexbear!” Once said happily.

“Oh hey once, you gonna try the speed run this year?” Alex asked.

“Yeah, am just training right now, this one is gonna be a struggle though, so might take me a while,” Once replied smiling.

“Well, I can always help you if you want?” Alex offered.

“You know what? That would be awesome!” Once said excitedly.

“Awsome! Me and Acceleradiance are both doing this map right now so we can all work together,” Alex said gesturing further up the course to where accel was.

Once followed Alex through the course and they soon caught up with Accel who helped guide them through the remainder of the map. She struggled through the last flower, but managed to complete it due to the help her new friends gave her.

“Yay! Do you guys wanna go do the next map?” Accel asked their small group.

“Yeah sure, I’m up for it!” Once replied.

“Same here,” said Alex happily.

The group walked off towards the next map, City, and soon beaten it after the help from each other. Swiftly, they breezed through Countryside, then Balloon.

Coming upon the last course, TimothyJH stood beside her, “You going through the evil gate, as well?”

“What do you mean?” once asked, shaking slightly.

“Chill Room is pure evil. It crushes most all who enter into it,” he responded, barely above a whisper.

Finally catching up, the rest of the group caught up. “I guess we have to go in there now to complete them all,” Alex muttered.

Entering in, the enormous view was stunning. Giant objects were littered to the left and right to form the course.”Well this looks hard,” once thought to herself. The entire group hopped from platform to platform over the gaping abyss beneath them. Despite their earlier successes, something just wasn’t right with this course. Time and time again, they’d make a jump, only to slip off the very last jump before a checkpoint.

“Grr!” Timothy shouted. “Only creepers is doing well!” Looking, the group could see creepers flawlessly making each jump, seeming to simply be running.through the course.

Hours later, Alex and creepers had finished, yet all the other continued to struggle with Chill Room. “That’s it!!!” once screamed. “I’ve had enough of this course!” With that, she left the course, then parkour, as the rest continued to push forward.

Once ran to her home, frustrated and angry at seemingly everything and everyone. “I’ll just have to go back and beat that thing, then I’ll be ready!”

You’ve been a member of Meepcraft for a while, how did you introduce yourself to the community?
I remember first joining meepcraft about 2 years ago and saying “Hello Players Of Meepcraft, Im New” I got flooded with welcomes and tips on how to use meepcraft. A few players donated to me and I got bombarded with invites to towns and people asking me to join their town. If there is one thing that I have never experienced on any other server is the willingness for players to help other players out on meepcraft. People love helping each other on meepcraft and i'm sure they'd love to help you too! If you have a question just ask!

Two years is a decent amount of time, how do you spend your time on Meep nowadays?
I usually spend my time mining with EndermanSlayer16 and Tyrecantus. When I’m done mining I use the loot that I find to repair tools and armor at /pwarp repair. The rest of the loot goes to the shop at /pwarp grind. I also love starting community events on meep and asking trivia questions in global to keep everyone engaged in playing meep!

What are the perks of having a pwarp?
Having your own pwarp is very useful for attracting customers to your event or shop. When you are first starting your shop and you are asking people to /tpa to you it quickly becomes a very annoying extra step when accepting tpa requests and you have to be online for people to come to your shop! With pwarps you can make your own personal pwarp and just advertise the pwarp in global so you don't have to accept each and every person that comes to your shop. They are also up 24/7!

With this new economy do you believe it’s difficult to obtain meebles?
My strategy to earning meebles is think of a good idea that other players aren't doing or make a discount shop that you sell your extra loot and materials for super cheap. This way you are earning meebles and everyone wants what you're selling. I highly recommend opening a free business like a grinder or a free food services and then add a shop onto it so that people can buy things for it. For example if you are giving food, sell a furnace, coal, and raw chicken for cheaper than cooked chicken. Then people can make it themselves and you still earn money when players come back for more raw chicken they get a discount and you still earn money!

What is it that you love about meep and what draws you back here?
What I love about Meep and what I think sets it apart from other servers is the community, everyone is so kind! I also just enjoy playing towny and so far Meep is the best towny server I've encountered.

Coal, it’s just generally ore-some

What’s your favorite animal on minecraft and why?
The bat cause it's like a vampire

What is your favorite band and song?
I don't really have a favourite band and right now my fav song is All Time Low by Jon Bellion.

Do you have a passion for creating digital content? Does creating new videos and taking beautiful screenshots of the server to enjoy sound like your cup of tea?

Meepcraft is looking for an ambitious, qualified applicant to join our media team. The role involves posting content to the Meepcraft youtube and taking beautiful screenshots of the ever expanding server features. This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved with the server and create stunning works of art to be shared with the entire community.



Main responsibilities include:

• Creating advertisement videos;
• Filming and editing videos of large events;
• Capturing beautiful shots of Meepcraft and its players;

Requirements:

• Must have a full license to video editing / recording software;
• Demonstrable experience at video editing;
• Strong social media skills;
• At least basic image manipulation skills, such as image selection, resizing, cropping, etc;
• Flexible, with an ability to work quickly and effectively while maintaining an eye for detail;
