It's weird to think I joined this server when I was 12 years old and now im starting my junior year in high school. Even though I dont play anymore I dont regret putting in so many hours of work into building and earning money just to see it dissapear. I made a lot of enemies but I also made a lot of friends that I still talk to today, some I think might be friends for life. Anyways enough of my sappy story, comment below if you want me to tell you what I think of you, or dont, im not your mom.
P.S : If you're sensitive and know I dont like you dont complain if I say something mean.

 

Today has been amazing for myself and just wanted to share.
I created our Gamma town a bit after a few others but mate did we take off, we stated out as 3 players that rocketed to 40 in a matter of a couple hours. We had players of all ranks, new and old helping each other and working together. I did not get a lot of screenshots when our town was booming because my screen was flooded with chat and I was focusing on 5 different things at one, I became staff because of our community and I am happy it really showed itself today, thank you.

The ERBM is an Elite group of exclusive rappers who take on different personalities/characters and battle it out. Rappers can rap for themselves or others.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that I've decided to leave meep for the time being. I can be doing more useful things instead of sitting at a computer with bags under my eyes. If you want more of a explaintion of why I'm leaving, just send me a convo and we can chat all about it. I don't really feel the need to give a big speech here, which could be summarized vaguely in a small paragraph. If this is a bit sudden, just know there's a ton of events that seemed to just come out of nowhere and influenced me in many ways. Finally, I want to thank everyone that is loving and maintaining this server with stuff on their hands, and I can't thank you so much. (Sorry if this seems really chunky and quick, but I just want to get the message across casually). Do know that I'm still gonna be on forums, and I'll pop in every so often.

 

I thought I'd speak my mind in regards to the staff team choosing to close the helper apps.

I thought that the staff team "rushed" to accept a few people, then simply closed the option to apply for helper. Let me be straight to the point: Its dismal that there are over 15 mods/helpers, yet at certain times of the day, there are no staff online. For hours. Happens every day.

Rather than accepting 3+ different helpers who can't even perform their role, who are no more capable than some of the existing staff, I suggest choosing people who can be online when others are not--people who live outside the US. I'm hinting at @Kling here, as he was one staff member whom you could count on to be online at those odd hours of the night.

I understand that if staff choose someone for helper, its because they think they fit all the requirements, but does it matter if someone is an exceptional staff member if they can't be online when they are needed the most? And yes, there are many times when staff are needed during the odd hours, more than you probably think.

So I was in global chat like 15 minutes ago, and for whatever reason people (*cough cough* mirella *cough*) were saying random facts about sealife. I decided to input some of my extensive knowledge on the topic of giant squid, so I said in chat "Squid fertilize their eggs by injecting their mate with the suckers on their tentacle". I thought this would be a perfectly okay thing to say in chat, but it seems staff thought otherwise. I got a message from 2dawn2 saying "please don't talk about things like that in global". Really? This is what everybody means when they say staff is too strict about chat. You can't have a reasonable conversation without staff telling you to stop discussing things, because they might not be appropriate for some 7-year olds. I didn't even say anything explicit, like "sex" or even "reproduction" that some little kid might look up and see graphic things. I said "fertilize eggs", which little kids wouldn't understand or draw any meaning from.

Lighten up, staff.

 

Hey everyone! This thread is going to go over everything you need to know about the upcoming MeepOlympics. (if you have any more questions post them in the thread!)

In the last Olympics, the only way to sign up was if you were representing a town in a team of 4. This time it's going to be different. Anyone can sign up, and they can be by themselves if they'd like. You can also sign up with a team. These teams can have no more than 4 people in them. A team can consist of 2 or 3 members as well. You can either represent your town in your team, or you can make a team of friends! There can be more than one team from a single town.

Rules

The rules will be very similar the previous Olympics rules..

-Each participant will be given the same supplies. These include a set of regular diamond armor, an iron sword, a god apple, a bow, and 64 arrows.(more things may be added) Any efforts by participants to get around these rules during the match will result in disqualification.

-The bracket will be set randomly and then adjusted to avoid timezone discrepancies. Players on the same team may end up fighting against each other at some point doing the tournament depending on how the bracket it set. This is not done intentionally and will try to be avoided.

-There will be no entry fee. (yay)

-The team that the winner is on will split the rewards. If someone wins and they're representing a town with more than one team, every team of that town will split the rewards. Right now the value of the rewards is not yet determined.

-The reward amount will be determined in the near future and will be funded by donations. Thanks to all the positive feedback and willingness to donate by a lot of kind meepers around, we're looking at really awesome rewards. I encourage you all to sign up to fight to get a chance at claiming the rewards!

-Third place will be determined by a match between both the losing semi-final participants

- This is fun event. Have fun.



Arena Details


The main arena is currently being constructed in /t spawn wololo in towns Beta. It is going to be built like the old one that had a lot of cool features such as lava pools, obstacle blocks, webs, and shooting arrows. These features were all powered by redstone which was pretty awesome. If you see any cool arenas, or own a cool arena, add me to a conversation on the forums and we can talk about featuring it.


Important Dates/Timetable

This stuff takes a long time to set up, and I'm encouraging everyone to sign up because the bigger the tournament, the more fun it will be. For now, a lot of planning/building is still needed to be done. Expect tournament to start mid-May. A final thread with every participant and the bracket will be made at that time, once all the planning and building is finished.

Any donations to help fund the rewards is greatly appreciated. I will be donating basically all I have (not much right now but I'll be grinding it out and making money lol). If you wish to donate, let me know and you will be recognized in this thread. The rewards will be split between 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

As many of you might know by now my grandfather died of a heart attack tonight. I can't believe how many people have already tried to console me. All of you seriously make my life go in a better direction. I love ALL of you. My grandfather died so my activity might be affected. Nevertheless I believe it won't harm it as much.

The funeral is this Friday. Thanks for the love and support and giving me the courage to power through. God bless you all and peace

 

A friend told me he was scrolling through my old posts when I remembered how I started wanting to make videos!

Once upon a time I saw Novaskin wallpapers like these:


I thought that they were super cool and I wanted to make my own. So I learned to make them and found out they were called "renders. "My real goal was to make a Minecraft animation. I thought learning how to make renders could help me get there because they were like a single frame of an animation! So I did that for a while and a lot of people really liked them. I even did requests on the forums for a while.

Eventually I realized that making a Minecraft animation was a lot harder than initially thought and I remembered a couple Youtubers called ExplodingTNT and ItsJerryAndHarry(Oh, and CraftedMovie but I had discovered them a little later.) and I always thought that they made Minecraft animations(Which they don't!) Then when I found out that they were actually in the Minecraft game I wanted to make those too! So I bought a video recording software for about $40 and I put together this video using the free Youtube video editor.

I was pretty happy with myself. After becoming a pro at the Youtube video editor my friend told me about Windows Movie Maker. It was even better and a lot easier to use. With Movie Maker I created most of my videos, like the Chest of Doom.


In that video I learned how to use music and sound effects properly and how to cut clips without having to make each video individually(Blame Youtube video editor!). Around the same time I got back in to making renders with a new program called Blender. With Blender I was able to make face expressions, joint movements and cool backgrounds. That was when I made my first thumbnail, which was for the Chest of Doom. Again people were pretty enthusiastic about the renders, which made me pretty happy(I also opened up shop again, making a couple commissions until I was overwhelmed).

For a while I took a class on Java development for Minecraft Mods. I made a few videos about them.

Eventually I was talking with Eralois and he had a Doge skin(meme), so then we came up with the idea to make a Doge Minecraft Adventure video, which became my most viewed video.

With this video I gained most of my subscribers.

For a while, my computer had broken down and I was forced to use a Macbook Pro. While it was kind of annoying, I did make some pretty good videos out of it because of iMovie. I tried to use Final Cut Pro but I just thought it was too complicated. iMovie was a lot like Movie Maker except it was even EASIER to use! It did have a couple limitations, like not being able to choose where exactly to put my text subtitles.

Then I applied for the Media rank here on Meepcraft! I made this video using iMovie just for it:

I was really overwhelmed from the support that everyone gave me on my application, honestly. It's really awesome to be creating videos for such an amazing server and I hope that the server stays around as long as possible!

MeepCraft's Greatness!​

Hey guys! MeepCraft is a great Minecraft server. It has such a great community, fun minigames, and incredible staff members. This made me think of a question. This question is a question that can't be answered with a yes or a no. This is my question:

Why do you like MeepCraft?

I'm serious; what's your motive to keep playing? Why is MeepCraft important to you. It's certainly important to me. I like MeepCraft because:

- There is just the right amount of players online at a time.
- I made caring internet friends while playing.
- Staff members ALWAYS help me when I post a /modreq.
- I get to govern a virtual town! How cool is that?!?!
- It's fun!

Every once in a while, I'd stumble across a rankist, a hater, an advertiser of other servers, or something else bad. But the great things about MeepCraft absolutely outnumber the bad things. Thank you for this awesome server! I mean it.

So what's your reason for liking MeepCraft? Tell me!

 

Throughout my life ive always felt awful. Even an outcast. But there's one way I've been able to overcome that. Music. Ya you heard me! Music! Singing has always made me feel different from everyone. Even special!! So therefore I am calling a teamspeak meeting in radio at approximately 8 eastern on fridays so that we can all express ourselves through whatever music there is to express. We will also vote on whoever had the most unique song choice in which they sung. But dawn! I can't sing! Don't worry, you don't have to sing! Just be respectful and talk about what song makes you feel like you and why. I will give 10k (increase if donations are given) to whoever does the best! I hope to see you there!
