Rip. Reading this brought back some great memories. Like you actually believing I was captintwinkie with a vpn or how fun staff use to be last year around this time. I really miss that time and would do anything to go back. I haven't been staff this time around but I bet it would never be like last year with me, you, junior, klutch, phoenix, slicks, diana, devil, shane, andrew and way more. I don't hate you, I believe you are a great guy and the only reason I hated on you was because I made a stupid mistake to resign while you were still staff. Hard to believe so much has changed in the past year, people quiting meep, people turning toxic *cough* but one thing that hasn't changed for me is the love I have for the awesome people I meet throughout my time on meep. <3

To quote your own status "I just don't know why there wouldn't be any backups." Yes whoever deleted the files is largely to blame, but not solely. Any business, especially one that relies on electronic data should have a solid backup recovery plan in place. I can understand if there were external factors at play but to be told "we just never got around to setting up the backups" kind of also adds some responsibility to what is currently happening.

The first step in New Meep should be getting a backup recovery plan +1

I see no basic reason why Matt was banned for "Staff Impersonation". I understand that he had a staff member's username in his new name, but I don't see that as impersonation. He used two different usernames and combined them. He doesn't have a mod rank and his name isn't "Klitch" reworded. Players can easily know the difference between a player with a rank and a player with a staff rank.

Klitch's name isn't "I_Hear_A_Klitch" nor was it ever his username. There was no way that was staff impersonation. He could've had his username approved by Klitch himself, though.
