On Sunday when I was in the Twitch Live stream with @KlutchDecals I learned so many new things I never even thought of before.
Servers (lag)
New spawn (Why they cost so much and why we're not using the resources already available to us.)
New Mini games
New Towny Features
Rank Sales and Rank perks
Klutch's actual opinion on most of these.
Advertising
I came to a realization that Fuzzlr has gotten this server to where it is today, that's pretty freaking amazing if you ask me. Then I realized how much it cost to advertise, how much it cost to market the server, get it out there. How much it cost to run the server, how much it cost to pay Techs to do coding for the server etc etc.
Then I thought to myself what could I do to help get the server out there to the public? Then I thought Not just I, but us as a whole. We're a community guys, we need to help pitch in. Fuzzlr got us this far, so now it's our turn to get us even further.
Markting.
Youtubers have become Millionaires through playing games and putting them up on YouTube. It's pretty remarkable, and extremely easy. All you have to do is play a game and something funny will happen while you're playing it, that's almost all it takes.
What you can do - Make Minecraft Content whilst playing on the server. Play Minigames, record yourself playing them, upload them to YouTube with the Server ip in the video as a water marker and in the description.
Do Let's Play's of you just playing Towny, building your town, adding new residents just stuff you do on a daily bases. The more YouTube videos of the MeepCraft server the more we'll show up in search menus, thus the more traffic the server will receive.
Make One hit wonders, like the Harlem shake video we did that got half a million views or something.
Make animations about stuff you did in MeepCraft
Make Comics of what you did in MeepCraft
@Bluapol is a great example of this thing. He's been making great content for the server, getting us out there and so has the entire Media team. It's time we stood in and helped out.
Tell your friends!
(Yes I know these are obviously freaking older people than you, but you want to know how awkward it would of been if I was looking up pictures of little kids talking in a public library?) hella awkward.
Just tell your friends that you play Minecraft. You'd be surprised how many normal looking people play video games and even Minecraft. I know Minecraft is sort of a Taboo game, where people only think kids play it, but Kids and Adults play it as well.
Tell them about MeepCraft, How you can build your own towns, acquire residents, expand and grow your towns. It's almost like Clash of Clans, it's addicting, people will want to be apart of towns to help them grow or them, themselves. Tell them about our Mini-Games, we're more than just a towny server.
Be Creative!
Be creative while trying to reach out to younger and same age audiences!
Make MeepCraft business cards and distribute them to people in your school!
Make MeepCraft poster and put them through out your school!
This thing KlutchDecals did with the Halloween Candies,

We need to step up as a Community to help this server grow! All I hear when people come back is that they came back for the community, It's time we did something for Fuzzlr and the server. It's time we help out this time.

I was taking my morning walk through the town Salad one day, just minding my own business, and I came across this monstrosity. I was taken aback by how extraordinarily ugly it was. I asked myself, "What kind of worthless excuse for a human being could have created this pathetic excuse for a plot?" The grounds were unkempt and various meaningless structures had been erected in random places. Its surface was covered with a festering swath of grotesque chorus plants, each plant undoubtedly more hideous than the next. But that was just the beginning. A closer examination revealed floating mounds of excrement, smothered with putrefying nether warts. Each nether wart sizzled and as I walked closer I noticed that a noxious stench drifted from each of its festering pores. As I turned away I began to despair, thinking to myself: "I would endure a thousand lifetimes of torture if I could spend one less second in this hell on earth." -

June 3rd, 2012.
That's the date I happened upon this server and found a community that (to me) was unparalleled in it's tight-knit playerbase, friendly administration, and perfect blend of town creation and resource gathering fun. I looked everywhere for a server that could meet the criteria of having a mature playerbase and administration, and a simple yet fun shops and town creation "tycoon" plug-in. It was here that I found it, and I delved into a very special find that would consume a good 2 years of my free time.
This was my first real PC online experience, and what came with that meant a lot to me. I learned the ins and outs of the plugins, I spent many hours talking to players new and old, and watched as my town grew into (what was back then) the largest city on the server. It was the most fun I had ever had in a video game, and that social human element was something that made it feel real, that I could share and interact with everyone to make a virtual world that we could call our own.
What we had was special, and anyone here can attest to that. The resolute quality of the community and the administration would inevitably lead to the community growing larger, and this period of rapid growth was awesome. We had all of these new people coming in and introducing themselves, and everyone was so quick to welcome them in and show them the ropes of the server. A process that I found so fun to be a part of, I became a moderator.
This, perhaps, was the most interesting part of this server, and why it was so memorable. The way that the internal "ebb and flow" of the community played a part in how the server would grow or lose players. It all played out like a long story. From its humble beginnings to its "Golden Age" to its turmoil during the CrueltyGaming era and then back to its (somewhat) previous state through the will and determination of the community.
Why am I writing this? Because every few days I watch that "Current Players" number drop, and I feel like that unique spark of determination is dying. Although I quit this game long ago, I don't want to see this veteran server fall. And if it is to die, I just want someone to know that this meant a lot to me, it was a long ride, and it would be sad to see this 4+ year project to be wiped clean.
I'm sorry for rambling, there's a lot more to be said about this server and it's community, but I don't feel like writing any more than I have to. Thank you for all the great times.

hellloooo y'all
I joined meepcraft when I was 12 or 13, I was literally obsessed with it, like too obsessed. I haven't gamed in 4 years but this quarantine stuff got me borrrred as hecke. I am 21 now (holllaaaa) and I am graduating this Spring from University of Oregon with a major in psychology and a minor in English (surprisingly, I actually know grammar and correct typing skills just not rn). I have an internship at an adoption non-profit to help foster children and I also babysit two kids in the mornings (furloughed right now until everything is better).
I miss the connections and friendships I made on this server, so if anyone wants to talk or reconnect, feel free to reach out! -

I understand this thread may be removed, but for all who see it, I wish you good fortune and luck in life.
At this point in time I am making my final amends with players and desciribing the events and players that had helped me through the server. I am not angry, not confused, but excited for my ban. It will allow me to focus on the larger, more important parts of life. Soon I'll be off to college, soon I'll have a job, soon I would have quit anyways. From the first time I logged into the reset server, I had an ambition, to become successful, and I did. I may have not done it in the traditional way, mining, jobs, but I completed my goal. I knew I was going to be banned, I don't regret my actions - the only regret I have is not hiding it better.
Here's a timeline for all of you, or if you're like most people - you came because I tagged you down at the bottom.
November 12th, 2012
The first time I pressed on the big multiplayer button, and joined the server, after a friend recommended it to me. I was new at Minecraft, and tried doing the tree parkour, as it was almost Christmas. I failed, and eventually went into the wild. I eventually went into towns, and got invited to Caemlyn by a player named tylerwest2009. After some time, he promoted me to the highest rank of assistant, and I did well at it. I helped town members, players, everyone who needed help. I owned a two plot brick house. Everything I wanted I had, and I was satisfied. One Tuesday (yes - I do remember it being Tuesday) a player was advertising his shop, I went to his town spawn to find it to be made out of TNT, and as most of everyone would do, blow it up. I got permed.
February 1st, 2014.
I'm not quite sure what circumstances led me up to rejoining the server, yet I did. I was amazed at how I was unbanned, and was wondering where my god armor and tools went. After a while of figuring out a reset occured, I downloaded xray. I was on URabiguglyloser account at that time. AlexAnder90123 and I xrayed some spawners, but was soon banned by Quaddy. Instead of appealing, I made the insidious move of ban evading - at that time I did not know it - but MattIsAPerson was born, my new main account. I was quite smart, not admitting who I was or where I came from, I was never caught. I bought premium, supreme, and eventually ultimate. I diced, made millions, and bought an ultimate account from a player named I_Hear_A_Squach for 15,000,000 meebles. I diced my way back to the top, nearing a tops of 24 million meebles. At that time, the richest player on the server, had set the precedent of cactus farms being the main source of money. I built myself one, but not in time for the nerfs of the shop. I built a sugarcane farm, not for profit, for fun. After some time I collect heads (and set me on that path) for a long while. I made around 100,000 daily from CTF, I was content. Next was beta, a new towny world. I claimed and sold some front plots. Now let's get onto the exciting part of this tale.
After quitting for a good time, I made another alpha town. A player named Spider_Strike, who I'd known for around 2 years then, invited me to join his town. That's where I also met Krazycat600 - at the time known as PlatonicAscend. We eventually became friends, and build two huge witch farms. We made millions, Pseudo was the brains and I was the bank of the 'operation'. Now after that, Gamma opened. I did some stuff here and there, nothing incredible. I get banned for changing my town or nation's name. I appeal, get accepted, and make another town. A week later, with 1,000,000 meebles Gamma was reset.
In skype, Spider_strike, Pseudo, Kiara, Metr0n0me, and _ImaCutYou plan out our approach to gamma. We decided to play on the very unlegit route - hacking/xraying, and the big one, duping! - I wouldn't personally call it duping. It was quite simple in fact. Here's why my forums account was most likely banned. I 'duped' quite a lot;
64 of each spawn egg (640k per stack)
64 ender crystals (11k each)
256 wither skulls (7.5k each)
Every single item in the shop I had stacks of.
I bought 9 stacks of diamond blocks, totaling nearly 3 million meebles.
I bought 50 shulker boxes 20k each.
I bought god armor, tools, swords, and bows for outrageous prices.
I laundered meebles through about every player you can think of.
One day, we can "finally" afford a nation, so I make one. Soon after, we have 1,300,000 in the town bank. I didn't do it, but admins caught on. On Venenate, I see my shulker box and chests opening and closing, most likely from xt3kx. Good job on him. I'm banned soon after, along with everyone else except Pseudo.
I'm going to tag a few people here, since people usually do it. Every player here changed my experience on the server for better or worst. Props to you all.
@Hotep - Extremely down to earth, smart guy. He made me a millionaire on every towny server here. You are helpful, kind, and you aren't afraid to speak your mind. You tried benefiting the server for the better, but were walled out. Have fun on your remaining time on MeepCraft
@Spider_strike - I never memorized your new name. You are easily one of the funniest, dedicated, smart players I've known. I've come to trust you over the years, and you led me down a path most people wouldn't want to be apart of. I did. You didn't let the server overcome your life, you have a lot of control, and easily one of the smartest players on the server. Also, your like skydoesminecraft.
@_ImaCutYou - Most chilled person I've ever come to known. We met in Kitpvp if I remember correctly. You trusted me, and I trusted you, you aren't afraid to speak your mind, you were awesome to talk to in game and on skype. Stay banned my friend.
@Kiara - You got me banned. Thank you for that. You let me be able to let go of the server and finally get me on the path I need to go down in life. You're a good builder, you should apply for architect.
@metr0n0me - When we first added you to the Skype group chat, I thought you were just another staff suck up. I've never been more wrong. You aren't a snitch, you're dedicated to the server, banned or not, you have changed mine - and many other's players experience - during your times as staff.
@Cleaves510 - Awesome person to be around, always making me laugh and bringing a positive attitude around wherever he goes. Please add me on skype - mattisapers.on
@xT3Kx - Great admin, you caught all those pesky dupers and xrayers in Pseudocorp. You're probably the greatest admin to have played in years. I thank you for putting effort in to cleanse the server and make it a more enjoyable place for everyone. Keep doing what you do.
@KlutchDecals - Man, I have mixed opinions about you. I'll only speak the positive side of you. You did what no one else could, you opened 2 new towny servers, reconstructed the server, and you put in a lot to the server. You gave your money, paying for harddrives to hold the backups, and you gave your time. It's amazing how you balanced your time on the server and your job. I may have not agreed with your intentions or ideas, but you never caused or tried to cause problems for the server.
@Courtneyyy - I'll be honest, you don't like me and I don't like you. You banned me in game and forums, but I actually am glad of that. You always tried bringing a positive attitude onto the server. I never heard you speak ill of another player, as staff and without. You put in months of dedication to rise to the rank of admin. I hope you enjoy your time on the server.
@BaM_Nitro - Chill guy, I'm glad you've been able to move on from Minecraft. You never failed to dissapoint me, in kitpvp, or selling me heads. Add me on skype mattisapers.on
@klitcher - We've had our ups and downs as aquaintances on the server. I tried getting you demoted, you banned my alt, etc. I wish you spoke your mind, and never tried hiding your personality from the server. Good luck in college and in life.
@Draqq - You're what some would call lucky for duping before the server was destroyed. Good luck on your builds and your future, talk to me on skype anytime you want.
@kyle_docherty7 - Funny guy, knows what he's doing and never caused any issues with other players. Always fun to talk to and is very chill, down to earth kind of person. I'm glad I've came to know you somewhat.
That's about it. I'm not returning to the server for a year if at all. I hope I don't get tempted to try and appeal once more. Minecraft practically took over my life, and I am extremely grateful I was banned. I don't regret anything I've said or done on the server, I don't regret my actions. I regret logging in for the first time in 2012. I regret getting hooked, I regret becoming hooked once more. Please listen to my advice;
I'm going off to college soon, but if I could have done anything differently, it would have been to study and or try more. My grades didn't suffer, but I know people who could have potentially ruined their whole lives over this - or many other - video games, wether on the consoles or computer, Wii or DS, you name it. Please realize that you are not entitled to anything in life. Your opinions don't matter in the grand scheme of things. What you do today can affect your whole life, in a day, or 10 years. Every action you make will somehow affect you, so for your sake, please make good decisions.
You might have also noticed the name 'sojourn', it means a short or temporary stay. I am not returning to forums now, if ever, and I won't be reading replied to this thread. Please realize I'm not angry over my money being wasted, my hours spent here, or my ban. I'm not charging back, I'm not going to use a VPN to play, I'm not spending $30 usd on another minecraft account. I have no intentions of causing staff even more work to deal with due to my actions.
@Imperfectly @7acespade - Sorry for lying to you guys, business is business after all.
@Vampire_Man_32 - Thanks for selling me the end portal for 200k, enjoy the legit money.
@simplearchitect - I don't like you and I probably never will, good luck with life.
@VKL_ReWinDzz - Please at least go to community college, don't ruin your future over this game.
I will be playing other games now, GTAV, Uncharted 4, some Infinite warfare. I play on ps4 and xbox one, add my skype if you'd like to play something.PseudoGod, CasualNuker, KyloMeep and 21 others like this. -
- Thread: A Journey
The Story of Qaztar
We begin our story on April 20, 2012. I had just called up my best buddy, Dane, and my other buddy, Wyatt. I called them because I wanted, for the first time, to play Minecraft. I was on my Mom's old Mac laptop. I logged into my Incorruptable99 account, and hopped on Minecraft version 1.2.5. My friends told me "Click on multiplayer, then click add server, and then type MeepCraft in the title and MeepCraft.com in the ip!" I did what they said. I clicked the server that popped up, and joined in. I started out in this box, a yellow box. I was confused, very confused. There was a hole in the middle of the box, which I walked over to and jumped down. I was suddenly on a path, with leaves on either side. I strolled down this path until I came across a wall of signs. My friends told me "Read all the signs!" I read none of the signs. I kept walking, further and further, until I came across a wall of signs I couldn't pass. I read the signs, and they said "How do you get to spawn?" "/base" "/spawn" "/home" I was confused. What did this mean? I asked my friends, they told me it was the second one. And so they walked me through this test, having me make my way slowly, making hundreds of mess ups, until finally, I reached the end. A little bit of text showed along with all the other random text in this little box in the corner, saying I had gained some meebles. I had no idea what these were.
And so, with my friends, I went into the wild. They taught me the basics of Minecraft, how to destroy blocks and how to jump. How to place blocks. How to play the game. I loved it. The next day, I tried to call them up again, but they both had things to do. So I logged on by myself, back in the spawn area. But I had no idea where to go. I wanted to go back to where we were, but I didn't know how. So I walked around until I stumbled onto a gold block, which teleported me into a room full of signs. I sat in that room, reading these signs. They were telling me how to vote. I soon got bored of the place, and turned around to leave. Only then did I realize that there was no exit. So I sat in that room for over an hour, trying to get out of that place. I pressed all the buttons, and soon pressed the "T" button, opening that little box of text in the corner. I typed "help, im stuk in the roomwith the sings!" I said this about five times, until a person by the name of Zerke423 typed back, saying "type /spawn" I did as he said, and, like a miracle, I was back at the spawn. I exploded with joy and typed "thank you thank you so much" like thirty times. Finally, I got over it, and went back to the tutorial. This time, I read the signs, and learned how things worked.
I started reading chat, shouting each day, talking and joining in on conversations. This was a blast. But there was something far better than chatting. MEEPCOLONIES! If you don’t know what MeepColonies was, get out, you’re not welcome here. It was, by far, the most fun game I had ever played. I played with Dane and Wyatt and played for so long each night. I would absolutely LOVE jumping over treetops with my bow, getting above the enemy base, and then, when they weren’t looking, dropping onto their roof, breaking it, and stealing the flag. Or, I would tunnel right below the ground, sneaking and winding my way towards the enemy base, then coming up from the ground and snatching the flag from right under their noses. What a fun time. I learned to sprint, to fight, and from this, I learned to love the game.
After a few months, I decided to donate. I wanted to sneak into that cool mansion on the corner of spawn, which was guarded by armored guards. I wanted to become a pig, and jump around, playing pranks on everyone. So I finally convinced my Mom to buy me Premium, and so I got it. From this point on, I was addicted. I started to realize that I needed money. Lots of money. So I began to use my donor perks to gain money. I would parkour around spawn, block glitching and lag jumping to cool places, and then selling tpa’s to those places. It worked like a charm. My final goal would always be to reach the top of that tutorial box, but it would never happen.
One day, me and my friends decided to go into towny. We all joined a town called “Monkeyland,” which was a town in the nation owned by StonedApe. I loved the town, dedicating all my time into it. Soon, I was promoted to assistant, and I couldn’t have been happier. I made a great friend by the name of CreepersGamertag. It was here that I participated in my first towny war. It was a small war, but Monkeyland was a major town in the nation, and it was almost taken. I myself fought against the people who suddenly appeared on my plot, and I died, many, many times. But I didn’t care, I was having a blast.
I slowly worked up enough money to buy a diamond shovel. I took that shovel, went to wild, and dug sand for straight hours, leveling up my McMMO stats. It was loads of fun. I finally gained enough money to buy myself a full set of diamond armor. I took my diamond armor, and went down to the Terrarium, a underground place below spawn, where all the fighters went. It was a dangerous and fateful place, but I went anyways. But when I took just one step out of the safe zone, I went flying in, and joined in in the fight. I fought well, killing a few people. But one person joined the terrarium, and I was finished within seconds. This person, although I didn’t realize, was to become an admin. They were @Pimpkachu. When I died, I had my first ever rage quit. I left Meep, and didn’t come on for a month. Until it was my birthday. I then realized how awesome it would be if I got my OWN Minecraft account, AND got Exclusive for that account! Exclusive was the best rank in Meep! I would be awesome! So I got this new account, named it 1qazwsx44, and got Exclusive with it. It was the best thing ever.
When I came back, I joined the same town that I was in before. Monkeyland. I converted all my stuff over to my new account. And played every day for months. I then discovered “The Forums.” I loved the forums. I would read them every day, and finally decided to apply to become one of the staff I so admired. @Danielrulesman, @Pimpkachu, @rosenow, @Sdubs, @Fuzzlr, and most of all, @Alien_Venom. I loved watching them talk to each other and seeing how much fun all the staff would have, I wanted to join in. I was, obviously, denied. This shocked me, because I thought I would easily get accepted. I was far less known than I had previously believed.
And then, one fateful day, I was banned. I had no idea why I was banned. I had no idea how. All I knew was, that whenever I tried to join MeepCraft, it would pop up with “The Ban Hammer has Spoken!”
I left. For months. 3 months. Until finally, I went to the forums, appealed, and was accepted. I rejoined Meep with nothing. No money, no items, no house, only my rank. And so I joined the town…. Dankland.
Dankland was, by far, the best town. It was under the rule of king_al_58, which the head assistant being @LR_Davius. I later learned that it had been originally made by @Toasteds (More on him later.) I joined, bought a plot, and went haywire on it. That was one amazing house. You couldn’t imagine the amount of secret rooms and entrances I had in that place. I so desperately wanted to become an assistant, so I asked King_Al_58 how I could. He joked that if I got 1 million meebles and gave it to him, I would get assistant. Sadly, I didn’t get the joke, and I spent hours and hours grinding sand to get enough money to give him. I finally got 1 million meebles, and reluctantly told King_Al that I had gotten the million. He told me he was joking, but I wasn’t too sad, because I was already debating whether or not to give him the money anyway. But, just a few weeks later, he promoted me to assistant. But then the funniest thing happened. A few weeks later, Elite was released. Spawners were suddenly popping up in every town, and Dankland still didn’t have a grinder. We desperately needed an Elite. And then, like magic, @Akiratohiama joined Dankland. Me and king_al_58 were overjoyed at this new resident, but we decided to not just give her assistant immediately. So we tricked her into dropping into the grinder, and said we wouldn’t let her out until she placed us some spawners. It was pretty evil. She acted all sad but me and king_al just laughed. Finally, she placed the dang spawners, and she was promoted to assistant. Dankland flourished, and so did my activity. I ended up becoming good friends with Akira, King_al, and LR_Davius. I continued to parkour the spawn, having friendly competitions with people like @Woohoocheese to reach the top of the Christmas tree. But, one day, King_Al_58 left with a quick goodbye. And Davius was promoted. He had many great ideas, and built things like the railroad system and the massive floating cathedral in the sky. Both awesome builds. But, as he became staff, he became less and less dedicated to the town. Somehow, and I don’t really remember how, I got mayor. I had millions at this point, and deposited a quarter of it into the bank. I started growing the town far faster than it had ever grown. It soon became the biggest town in MeepCraft. But no, I wouldn’t stop there. I wished to become a God Emperor. So I created my own nation, grew it into one large enough to allow for the title “God Emperor.” I felt like I fit in that God Emperor title. But then something terrible happened.
Cruelty. Yep, cruelty. Bastard rode in with his server merge (Omegacraft?) and joined up. I haven’t seen a server lose more players more quickly (Haven’t played on many other servers though) and it was dying. People being banned left and right, website change, new everything, total failure. I decided I was out of there, so I found a nice duping glitch and got banned. I joined RuSian_Pedobears server, became admin, and decided I would rather be there. When my appeal was accepted, I hopped on, and advertised it. Got banned again. But I got bored of that server. I would far rather be on MeepCraft. So I appealed. It was denied, and I was pretty down. But, every day, I tried to connect. And one day it worked. I was mind blown, super happy but scared that it was a mistake. But when I checked the forums, I realized that it wasn’t a mistake at all. Cruelty, the one staff member who I had ever really hated, had reopened it and unbanned me. So then I had a grudging respect for Cruelty, which sucked. I got on, played some more, and then a few weeks later, the whole reset thing happened. I was just playing MeepCraft, when suddenly the message popped up in chat “You have been opped.” I was super confused, but quickly realized that I could fly around and break stuff in spawn. Everyone had been opped, and the server crashed within minutes due to the mass Ender Dragon spawning. The server was offline for days. Finally, we got back on, and Fuzzlr posted his thread about what had happened.
I applied for staff again and again, and was finally accepted. I lied about what my age was. I was actually eleven, but I said that I was thirteen. They didn’t realize this in my interview, and I became Helper. For the first month I was a great staff. Totally keeping up on my modreq’s and constantly helping out. But being a staff took away a lot of the fun of MeepCraft, and I found myself constantly saying no when people like @Lysseal asked to hang out, because there were modreq’s. I drifted away from my responsibilities and started just trying to have fun. I was demoted after about a week of that.
After this, I slowly drifted from the server. It still was what I played the most, but I started getting less and less interested. I started spending my 6 million meebles on mansions and crazy armor sets. Finally, I left. Just drifted away from the server. And then Zoe89 got on, started playing on the server. She convinced me to come back, just for a day. I came back and realized that I only had 75k. I started playing again, joined a town, made friends again. @Zoe89 became staff, and I became extremely jealous. So I applied again, was accepted, and became Helper. This time, I was determined not to make the same mistake as I had before. But other games became much more appealing, and I never felt the drive to go any further in staff, to go to Mod or even to SuperMod. So, like before, I drifted away from my modreq count. This time however, I decided it would be better if I just resigned. But when I got on to resign, I found that I was already demoted, which sort of ruined my whole plan. Since then, I used my meebles to buy a nice tower on a mountain, and am currently just living there.
Thank you for reading my story on this server. It has been by far the best experience I have ever had in an online community, and I am very grateful for all of you.
