The Sith Coalition outlined in their post that they believe Meepcraft Staff was acting biased against players like them. I'd argue, instead, that the Meepcraft staff act in a way that appears biased towards everyone because they act against the best interest of the server.

What is this best interest? My argument is that Meepcraft's ultimate goal, like any server, is to be fun. Under this logic, I believe rules that do not increase enjoyment or decrease unenjoyment are out of place because they limit player engagement. What constitutes a fair rule is up to interpretation, but I'd at least like to open up the idea that the way rules are enforced should be to promote fun. Staff, you made an error by forgetting to generate ore correctly in an area of the map, and you banned people for this error.

Dismissing the idea that banning these people were justified or not, I implore you to think about what good banning them does. What does banning these people do for the server? These players were not acting maliciously. They were mining fairly in an area of the map that was, apparently, completely off-limits to mine in due to an oversight. They love the server to death, and the work they have done on the server and continue to do on the server adds life to it. Did banning these people make Meepcraft a more or less enjoyable place?

This adage is relevant once again. "In any relationship, the person with the most power is the one who needs the other the least." Staff members, think about it. This game is called Minecraft, and you banned players for mining in an area that was impossible to verify as unfair. Does the need to ban people for this faulty reason outweigh the positives they could do for the server? I'd argue not, I think you need these active, passionate players more than they need you. Please, for the sake of the server, act in the interest of enjoyment.

What she was saying, nicely, is you players are really dumb for wanting a better experience yet not taking any action to achieve that. Players directly contribute to the enjoyment of this server and you have to recruit and teach newbies in order to get them to stay. Otherwise they leave and ya'll still got no players which means nobody can really build a town (maybe a 3 person village) which defeats the entire point of the gamemode.

Staff could make a town to retain new players but that is added workload. You need someone like me, who made a massive town via spawning crap in and being online most every day, keeping it nice, pretty and fun and then you recruit and talk to anyone you can, then they stay. Then playercount rises, then towny is fun because people are in, you know, towns.

Also she points out that the playerbase kinda sucks, being as young as they are, where they mostly pick on eachother and spam useless things and ultimately turn off a lot of players.

Obviously I'm paraphrasing and more blunt, but that was the jist of her message.

Craps not gonna improve unless everyone does their part. Players have to welcome players and mayors have to teach the new generation of MeepCraft how things work.

Look at your joystick below your belt and compare that to a creative build, the creative build is next to nothing compared to a picture of a real donger or honeypot.

It would be a great plug-in and I believe barely anyone will try to make a mancave in their house. If it does happen however i believe it should be a permanent ban.

Iv donated over 3 and a half years and not got one ban and never chargedback. Does that Make me trustworthy? No. I could still chargeback. The only person who knows this is you. What if you got perm banned tommorow. Every person you have donated for will have a squeaky bum I'm sure.

Actually, comedy was originally used to make fun of the rich, and powerful.

And I highly doubt Taylor Swift cares too much about what a bunch of people on a Minecraft server is saying about her.

Her music is horrible and she should feel bad for making it. (Plus her views on streaming music are just the worse, streaming is the new radio)

I think you have the wrong mentality here. Its not the role of the server to needlessly restrict players from doing things. The reason something is restricted is because it causes a problem. If it doesn't cause a problem, then we should never take that away from the players because nobody gains from it and the players become irritated. The server does not benefit by having this restriction. The caps filter can be removed in private message with no harm.

The hyperlink is iffy because of more...naughty links being sent out, but they can still be sent through mail, so i honestly don't see the point. Theres already a way of bypassing it. Don't have an opinion on this one, as I can see it going either way.

And honestly Jess, this is quite literally a 30 second fix for fuzzlr or anyone with access to the plugins. It would take all of 15 seconds for DBLo (The legend himself) to fix it. Its such a small task that realistically, its not going to get in the way of things. If you can't provide the reason it was removed and can't really give an explanation as to why it should stay removed besides: "Why is there such a need to use caps". you should probably consider letting them have this.

Draqq was brought in for a specific task. He has done that task and has also managed to build 5 builds for the server since he became staff.

He was also accepted for arch and the community did ask for it.

He had to cut his trial short so I asked if he'd like to have another go and I'm thankful he did.


Right now I'd put him as the most important and active staff member in all of Meep.

He deserves the recognition he's getting.

The stuff he's built is crazy and I'm looking forward to those releases.

His butt is smoking he's working so hard.

 

I couldn't expect someone of your mentality to even begin to understand.

As a 14 year old coming from broken home and living in an abusive household, it is very easy to drowned yourself into things like videogames. To where the only place you can even escape "life" is places like Meepcraft.

Being moved from town to town and away from your friends, the only thing or "friends" that came with me was those from meepcraft.

You cannot begin to understand me or my "life", and I encourage you to actually think before you post, because you never know how it can affect different people.

I am not saying my life was worse than anyone elses, I am blessed with what I have; however I have gone through my share of hard times, and Meep was there for me to escape to.


I am proud to say that today, I do infact have a life. One that I am proud of, I've gone far with the hand I have been dealt and I do not plan on stopping now.

Whining on a thread isn't gonna fix anything. It just creates more drama. There are most likely projects in staff that are being currently worked on to better the server. Things take time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Some issues are more important than others, and those are the ones being worked on. As a community, all we can do is give support to keep moving forward while Meep prepares for the summer (and winter in the southern half) season.

MineCraft is a game that is losing interest. People are mostly more interested in factions and mini-game servers. Towny is declining on Meep as well because there's nothing to do if you don't staff a town. A lot of the time, if you do staff a town, stuff can get boring doing the same things over and over again.

We can't keep players because almost everyone in the community doesn't talk to the newer members and less staff. There are people who keep their money and just hoard it. There's the fact that it's 10 times easier to make meebles as an Ult than as a citizen. Almost no one sells ranks anymore. Lots of discouraging acts that the community itself can try to fix while staff handle the fixes of mini-games and Towny updates.

Instead of saying, "this sucks," "get your act together," "fix the server," and "staff are inactive and don't care;" try to help fix the issue or offer solutions on how to fix the issue. Apply for tech. Apply for staff so that the workload gets spread around a bit more.

 

If the player wants to be unbanned he can make a ban appeal.
Stop making a big deal over nothing go play the game and stop starting drama.
