You contacted me, and like pmx I feel like you just contacted me because you knew that I'd leave a bad comment on your application.

Here's what bothers me about your app: In every paragraph of your strength section you mention that it doesn't always apply. "Sure, I'm immature sometimes" "Sure, I slip up sometimes". It bothers me because of the amount of times you mention it, and it makes me feel that we're gonna have a problem with you "slipping up" quite a few times.

You still gossip. And it's annoying. Joining team speak I don't want to hear you talking about people, and for a staff member I'd find this unacceptable.

And you're still immature. You say you aren't. You say in your app how you turned serious after a family member died. Here's the thing though, I can't see you chatting for even a few minutes without seeing the OMG's and the LOL's and the <3!!!'s.

Great question.

Call MeepCraft a business, game, server, or whatever else, it requires a few things to be viable, money, players and a staff to run it. I strongly believe that if you volunteer to do a job, it's a job and you should do it. I applied in full expectation of putting in equal time and effort into the server as each other staff. The reason why I am willing to put forth that time and effort is because of the time investment I've already committed here, and have grown to appreciate the role MeepCraft has played with many people.

Everyone messes up, and it's how they move forward that is the most telling. I think we've had a few personality conflicts in the past, but it was never personal and you seem to have a good head on you these days.

 

No one cares about you "considering" her app, because no one cares about your vote if you're going to be that haughty. Jesus.

Introduction: Hi! I’m Spongey, a 19 year old from New Zealand. I am currently in my second year of uni studying Software Engineering (funny because reading through one of my old helper apps I said I wanted to do software engineering..there we have it!).

In my free time I love watching Brooklyn Nine Nine (the most), The Good Doctor, The Office, The Good Place, , Black Mirror, any other binge-watchable show and of course, Spongebob! Although the newer episodes don’t tickle my fancy - I just wish they’d bring back the old graphics.

I also like to do some coding in my spare time. I’ve worked with Python and Java primarily, developing some android apps, learning C++ now and I’m interested in getting into some minecraft dev (if you have any tips let me know where to start)

Why should you be Helper? · Experience
I’ve been playing since September 2014. I have learnt so much through my journey on Meep. I’ve also been staff twice now, but it’s been about 5 years since my last run so obviously I wouldn’t remember every staff command still but I’m a relatively quick learner to pick things up again.


· Dedication
I’ve been playing for almost 7 years now. I didn’t think I’d be staying here for this long because most of the people I’ve met along the way have already dropped out of Meep. But here I am, typing up a helper application 7 years on. Whenever people talk about their early teenage years, what springs to my mind is, Meep. I may have become addicted, I may have not. Meep is like my second home, my second group of friends. I really admire the friendships I’ve made on Meep and wonder if, I’d clicked on another server other than Meep, if I didn’t see Meep on the server list, would I have made those same friendships? What I’m saying is that I am dedicated. Once I stick to something I usually don’t let go. Like Meep. And dicing.

As many of you know, I’ve submitted a million billion apps (not as many as Gummi though haha) where most of them have been denied. Every time I was denied, I looked at it as an opportunity to improve and become a better person of who I am. Which is to say I am a very dedicated member of the Meep community. But I’m older now, I’ve learnt from my mistakes and I’ve grown as a person.


· Involvement

I try to balance my in-game, forums and discord activity well. I’m almost always on discord whether it’s early in the morning or late at night (discord is literally the first thing I check whenever I wake up). Forums is the same. It’s one of those things I check up on without even thinking. I even just type in forum.meepcraft.com into my web browser even if I just looked at forums a few seconds ago. As for my in game activity I do my best to get on as much as I can.

I live in New Zealand, so when I’m on at night time here I mostly see Australians or Europe people on. With the server becoming more active than it used to be, and with revamp on the way, it would be better to have staff across all timezones to cater for all the different players across the world.

· General

What makes me different to other applicants/staff? I’ve always had a sense of positivity inside me. Maybe you’ve seen be ranting off and being negative nancy sometime somewhere in the yonder years, but I try my best to stay positive. I think that positivity is an important role in being a staff member because throughout your time you’re going to have some of the community be negative nancys or disrespect other staff or something etc.(which I have seen happen) .with positivity I think I can help the team stay on track and not let negativity strike back and attack! (hey that rhymed).

What are your weaknesses? Immaturity: Immaturity to me basically defines my personality back in 2014. I would spam, talk nonsense, and spam and talk nonsense more. I’ve always put down immaturity as my weakness on my applications but after a lot of thinking and from other people’s statements, I’ve come to a conclusion that I am not as immature as I used to be, I just enjoy having fun, especially with my friends.

Discord vc: It may not seem like it in game but I am a super shy person. I’ve only talked on discord a few times but even then I haven’t said much. I'm trying to talk more!

Introduction: Hello everyone, my name is Madison, and Its_Madison in-game. I am an 11th grade student enrolled in advanced courses on my online high school and at my local community college. I hope to major in either bio-psychology or chemistry when I get to university and start a career as a research psychologist or chemist. I am currently trying to get all of my chemistry, biology, and psychology lower level classes done for a bio-psychology degree before I graduate high school. I absolutely love learning about chemistry, psychology, sociology, and the inner workings of the human brain, and hope to do research on neurodegenerative diseases and their effects on society during and after university.

Besides academics, I am involved in several clubs related to my intended majors of study. I currently volunteer in a professor’s psychology lab at a local university once a month, and I hope to work my way up to become a full-time research assistant before I graduate high school.

When I am not busy with schoolwork and being in the lab, I enjoy reading, swimming, listening to music, and browsing the internet.

I was previously staff on MeepCraft from early March to late May of 2016. I left the team because I needed to shift my focus from MeepCraft to my schoolwork and some personal issues that impeded with my time the last month I was on the team. Since then, I have been able to balance my schoolwork, extracurriculars, and MeepCraft, and can confidently say that I have enough time to dedicate to moderating again.

Why should you be Helper? -Work Ethic:
I have a strong work ethic, evident in my ability to succeed in high-level courses at school, my work in the lab, and my previous work as a staff member. As a staff member, I completed a great quantity of modreqs while also making it a priority to thoroughly complete all modreqs and make sure that players were satisfied with my service. I also completed outlines for some projects on Trello, most of which have been archived as of now.

-Professionalism: I have a professional demeanor, especially when it comes to working with others and helping people. I am open-minded and willing to work with other people’s ideas even if they conflict with my own. I am also a problem solver, meaning that I do not give up easily when I am helping someone that has a problem.

-Experience:
I was previously staff for nearly three months; a Helper for exactly one month, and a Moderator for nearly two months. I know the amount of dedication and work that is expected from a staff member, and I know how to deal with the pressure that staff members often have to face.

-Activity/Availability:
I believe that I am sufficiently active on MeepCraft despite schoolwork and extracurriculars taking up a large chunk of my time. Because I am enrolled in an online high school, I have quite a bit of flexibility with the times I choose to do schoolwork during the day, with the exception of a chemistry class I take at my community college. I am available on Mondays and Fridays anytime between 8 am to 3-5 pm PST, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays anytime between 8 am to 2-3 pm PST, and Saturdays and Sundays anytime between 10 am to 8 pm PST. I believe that my activity during the times when most American players are at school and players from other timezones are online sets me apart from the other helper candidates.

What are your weaknesses? -Immaturity: I can be immature at times. However, I make sure that I am only immature in the appropriate situations and that my immaturity does not get to the point where it becomes offensive.

-Shyness: When I was staff, I was too shy to give my opinions and, as a result, didn’t participate in some staff matters (except for modreqs, player reports, and bans). However, I believe I have improved significantly since my tenure; I am more comfortable in /g, discord chat, and forums, and I think that I would also be far more comfortable sharing my opinions with other staff members if I am accepted.

When did you join Meepcraft? May 15th 2015

Introduction: Hello all, I’m Sophie also known as once or onceuponajano in game. I am 19 and currently studying an Undergraduate degree in Criminology at university.

I first came across Meepcraft when I was looking for a towny server. I trawled through numerous servers but many did not have the same warm welcoming that Meep did. I believe this is because everyone treats the server as a tight knit community unlike bigger servers where there is a high volume of player traffic each day and too many people to get to know. Today as a player and like most, I try to give the same friendly welcoming that I received as a new player to those who join or rejoin today. Doing this has mainly come from seeing staff act as good role models to all players and passing on their positive attitude to everyone!

The majority of my 2 years on Meepcraft have been based in towny, where before the reset, I was a Co-mayor in the Beta town of Legend. Thanks to this position, it gave me the confidence to apply for staff in the more recent town of Legend, in which I have earned the position of Assistant. In addition to this, I have made some of the best friends from these towns and I hope to continue these friendships into the future.

As for my personal life, my hobbies, apart from playing Minecraft, include playing field hockey, drawing, walking my dog, cooking, and I am hoping to get back into playing in a brass band when I graduate, where I used to play the Cornet (or a small Trumpet).

Why should you be Helper? Knowledge:

Despite having no previous experience of being a staff member on another server or on Meepcraft, I don’t see this as a weakness. It is an exciting opportunity to put my knowledge to the test and learn more about the server in a staff capacity, rather than in a player capacity (which I definitely have experience of).

From spending most of my time in towny, this is where a lot of my knowledge will come in handy. However, I have recently been playing Skyblock and understanding how to survive and complete challenges, so I am constantly trying to learn new things about the server. This is alongside trying my hardest at Parkour, which has been a struggle, but thanks to Ellie and Vi pushing me through the countless times I’ve wanted to give up, I have been getting much better at it! I feel I would be able to apply this mindset to my knowledge of Meepcraft and also use this determination to my advantage to get problems solved.

Involvement:

I used to keep quiet and not really speak up in global chat, as I was quite a shy person that kept to myself. However, I believe that in the past year, while being at university, I have gained a lot of confidence in person and in game, and have come out of my shell.

I hope that many of you have seen me chatting and welcoming people in global recently as I have been actively trying to speak up more. You can always find me making or clearing plots in Legend or failing miserably in Parkour, so if you need to ask a question or to just have a chat, come find me!

On the subject of Legend, I am always around to help new residents get settled in or to aid them when they need it. It never gets old to me and with the other staff members of Legend there to help when needed, this support system that we have built reminds me a lot of our staff team. I believe I am ready to expand beyond Legend and help more practically in a server-wide role.

Location:

With being in the UK, I can offer to help in times where there are gaps in staff not being online (especially in the morning GMT) but I can also offer to relieve pressure when the server gets busy (late evening GMT). While there are other members of staff based in and around the UK, I can assist them when they personally might be busy. I have recently been getting to know these members of staff.

Experience:

As I have previously said, I have been on Meepcraft for over 2 years now and I believe I’ve gained nearly enough experience and knowledge to feel confident enough to apply for the role of Helper. Even though my expertise lies with towny, if a player was asking for help I know that I can still use the command /help or ask a higher member of staff.

Outside of Minecraft, I am currently the Ladies’ President for the university’s hockey society. I have to take on responsibilities such as ordering and sorting playing kit, managing the society’s website that I have created, handling subscriptions and the organizing of events. This role shows that I can work under pressure of the asking from the Students’ Union and am time efficient, but also trustworthy as I was voted into the position and majority thought that I was best suited to the role. Furthermore, I am one of the two people for 1st years and/or anyone new who joins to ask for if they need any help about the society itself.

Dedication/Work Ethic:

Growing up playing in team sports such as hockey and rounders, I have picked up good team building skills that can be applied to being part of the staff on Meep. If I am successful, I will dedicate myself fully and will perform tasks given to me quickly and effectively, and not shy away from any job.

What are your weaknesses? I have been thinking about this section for a while now and the majority of my weaknesses have a recurring theme of lack of confidence and getting over the first ‘hurdle’ (or in other words, scared to try things for the first time, but as soon as I’ve done it once I am completely fine and am happy to try it again). I have battled this self-doubt throughout my life, especially during school, and it is still as problem that is present to this day but it is definitely something that I am working very hard at to tackle.

Discord:

Discord is something that I want to get more actively involved with and I have been trying to do that recently. Even in lectures and seminars at university, I am quite a reserved person only speaking up if I need to or have been picked to do so. But with past experience chatting to a few friends on Skype while playing on an old Minecraft server, I believe that once I have spoken for the first time on Discord, I will be perfectly fine and my nerves will have passed. Even by doing this, the environment at home and while I’m at university can be quite busy so I wont be able to get on as much as I would like.

Forums:

This is a similar story to Discord, I am trying to be more active on that platform but I am getting there so bear with me!

Insecurity:

As my problem with confidence is quite prominent, this brings out the insecurity in myself. I often doubt my own ability in most things even though I know I am correct. I am starting to grow out of this by pushing myself to take up roles and jobs that I wouldn’t have done before and that is why I am currently writing this application. This also wouldn’t be possible without the help from the friends I have made on this server, who in fact make up some of my references, believing in my ability to become a Helper.

Availability:

As I will be going back to university in September and will be starting my 2nd year, my amount of time to spend playing on Meepcraft will be reduced to what it is now. I did take a break from Meep last year while I was settling down into life at university, but I believe that I have learnt how to manage my time effectively with work and I will be able to get onto Meep more often. The only days that I will struggle to get on would be on a Wednesday, as this is the day that I have BUCS hockey matches and the student night out, and a Saturday, as this is the day that I will have hockey matches for my club outside of university.

As I have said many times, these weaknesses will not hold me back forever and I am looking forward to changing into a more confident person!

When did you join Meepcraft? November 21, 2013

Introduction: Good day Meepcraft! My name is Will, and I’m 16 years old and in 10th grade at school. I live on a small Danish island called Bornholm in the Baltic Sea (in between Sweden and Poland) with my mother and stepfather. I grew up moving around different foster families all throughout Australia, but have been living in Denmark for well over a year now. I’m the type of person who has trouble fitting everything into each day, as I have so much to do. When I’m not at work or doing schoolwork, I’ll be playing video games (usually Meepcraft) or at the gym. Unfortunately I also spend a fair bit of time going in and out of hospital, as I was diagnosed with a chronic illness called Crohn’s Disease in spring. One of the upsides to the disease is that I frequently have days where I am required to stay home, so I have more time to play Meep!
I found Meepcraft on the 21st of November 2013, when a friend and I were looking for a server to join. I remember the date because we had just gotten back from watching the Hunger Games 2 premiere. Anyway, He had vague memories of a server with a great community, and after looking up the name, we joined. He left a few months later, but I’m still here almost 3 years later!

Why should you be Helper? Experience: While I have never been a staff on a Minecraft server before, I have moderated other game servers (including Garry’s Mod Prison break and GTA:SAMP servers). I have quite a few ‘real-life’ abilities that I will apply to a helper position, such as persistence and leadership. I have a job in a large grocery store (“Kvickly”, I think it’s a bit like Walmart), from which I have experience in assisting, even though I spend most of the time stocking shelves. As far as Meepcraft goes, I have extensive knowledge of the rules and how the server functions. Having been here for almost 3 years, I have been trusted with staff positions in towns many times, and mayored just as many.

Work ethic: When I was diagnosed with Crohn’s back in spring, I was extremely skinny. I was 175cm and 44kg. Once I started gaining weight, I decided I wouldn’t just gain it all in fat, and so I started hitting the gym 4 times a week. Now I weigh 60kg, and it’s still rising. My point here is, when I want to achieve something, I work hard for it. I always complete the tasks at hand to the best of my abilities, and this is something I plan to continue doing as a staff member. I learn fast, so I am sure that I will not have any problems with learning the ins and outs of being a staff member.

Dedication: Having played here for almost 3 years, I consider myself a dedicated member of the Meepcraft community. I’ve stuck with the server through thick and thin, and will continue doing so for as long as I am able to. There is a reason that I’ve stuck around for so long, and that is because I know how unique Meepcraft is. And I want to dedicate time, as a staff member, to help keep the server this way.

Involvement: I always answer questions people have to the best of my knowledge, and I’m always up for a nice conversation with anyone, whether that be in global or local. I love getting involved with the community and socializing, which is why you’ll almost always see me chatting in global when I am on.

What are your weaknesses? Teamspeak: As a shy person, being in a channel full of people can be a little unnerving, and therefore I find it difficult to relax on TS. I certainly would have no problems with attending staff-related meetings or talking to a few players here and there, but I don’t “Hang out” in TS.

Maturity: Sometimes I can get a little carried away, however I do have the ability to be mature when I need to be. It is certainly not a weakness that will interfere with my work as a staff member.

When did you join Meepcraft? late 2012

Introduction: My name is Kai. I originally was born in China, and went to Canada as a vacation in 2007, but we never went back, and decided to stay. English is technically my second language.
I’m the kind of guy that usually won’t talk when I’m with a new group of people, unless I have something good to say. This is especially true for places like teamspeak or in game chat. However, if I know them well, I can be quite loud.
Apart from Minecraft, I don't play many other games. I do enjoy being in the outdoors, and I'm part of many programs such as leading programs in my community, and Cadets, which both require leadership. I also love to modify Android devices.
At school, I’m part of a program called “Mini School”. Essentially, what this is, is a group of 30 kids, who were selected because of above average grades, and want a more challenging environment. This environment has allowed me to experience and develop many good work habits and ethics
I've been playing MC since late 2012. Meepcraft was one the first servers I joined. There was a great sense of community spirit.

Why should you be Helper? Experience:

I’ve learned that experiencing something is more effective than learning about it. I’ve been on Meep for quite a few years now. I understand a multitude commands, and I’ve gained a very clear understanding of how everything works. I’ve reviewed the rule book many times, and know the information very clearly. I’ve also learned important skills, such as communication, working together, prioritizing, and taking initiative by managing several towns and experience from programs in real life.
I’ve been the mayor of a very successful beta town for over a year now, and it has taught me indispensable skills about the server such as helping out newer players, and the best way to communicate with them about the server. At its peak, my town had over sixty residents, most of which I added myself.

Adapting and learning:

Every time I make a mistake, I see it as a chance to improve, and I will take that chance. If someone gives me criticism, I understand now that they are trying to help me, and I shouldn’t be mad. After all, you shouldn’t be mad at someone if they are trying to help you. I’ve taken this approach to learning new things and adapting to new environments for quite a few years now, and it’s proven its effectiveness many times over.
But, like I said before, experiencing things is also important. When I first made a town, I was able to utilise the huge amount towny commands properly within a week. When I try something new, I will usually see a pattern in them. (An example would be towny commands) I’ve learned to build on those patterns, and I’ve found that it has helped me learn faster.
I’ve moved many times, all to very different schools, and places. This has given me many opportunities to relearn and adapt to new procedures. In a new environment, I’ll always try to understanding what is going on, and if I don’t understand something, I’ll try to help,(even if I’m feeling shy).
I’m aware of what challenge is ahead if I get accepted. Life is not static. Therefore, we must constantly adapt to new situations and opportunities With a lot of experience in adapting to new things, I confidently know that I’m ready to learn new thing here.

Work Ethic:

One of the things I’ve learned from experience is to always take things “one step” further, because there’s almost always something you can do. When doing a modreq, I find it important to not only be able to help the player, but also make sure they are completely satisfied. This can be done with helpfulness, patience, confidence and attention.
I also understand that if a player needs something done that I cannot do, I will make sure to relay the message down to a higher up staff, and make sure the player has an answer that exceeds their expectations.
I’ve learned to work in a very efficient fashion. Whenever I’m assigned to something, as a habit, I will try my best to complete it to the best of my abilities, and doing everything fully, regardless of who is asking for help. Although, this environment is very different from a school, environment, I feel like the basics are the same.
Lastly, I have had lots of time and experience working in a team. Some important basics of working in a team that I’ve recognized is assisting each other, communicating with leaders and teammates, and motivating each other. One of my boldest memories of this was in a recent camping trip I took. During the trip, we were in a group of 5 people, and we needed to work together to get everything ready for night. (tents, water, food, etc). The first time we did it, we all moved in a group to each task. Often times there were people just standing around. Sadly, that caused us to finish our tasks nearly two hours late. From that day forward, I understand the importance and the skills required to work in a team.

Dedicated and trustworthy:

When you enjoy something, you will almost always do great. I have great amounts of dedication to all aspects of the server, and I absolutely love it! Recently, I’ve been trying to spend around 2 hours a day on all aspects of the server. That kind of dedication, I feel, is the dedication that is needed for any Staff role.
Additionally, I find it important to earn the trust of people, as well as giving trust to the proper people. Gaining trust is not an easy thing, and it can be lost very easily. It’s very important to me to keep the trust of people, and to keep up to the expectations that have been put on me. I’ve taken roles such as recruiter, and assistant (in late 2014), which both require high amounts of trust.

What are your weaknesses? Shyness:

As English was my second language, during my first few years in Canada, I’ve always been afraid to interact with people. Even now, when my English is good, that kind of shyness has stuck with me. I’ve improved immensely in the past years. I went from not even being brave enough to talk in TS, to being on for a few hours a day. Even though there’s improvement, I don’t think there is enough. There will still be a constant battle of trying to become better and less timid.
School Work or Lack of time:
This is a very small issue, that has a low chance of popping up later in the year, but I will address this. As part of being in an accelerated program, homework is often times more demanding. Although I’ve been on for a good 2 hours each day, this has a very low
chance of popping up, and will likely not pop up now.

Maturity:

Age shouldn’t be an instant decider of someone’s maturity level. Looking back on my previous years, I feel that I was quite immature back then. I’m confident that I have changed now. My priorities have shifted. I feel that I'm no longer as immature as
I used to be.

Time online:

I constantly go on occasional trips each month, ranging from overnight, to three weeks. However, during this time, I try to get online as much as possible. Recently, I feel that my schedule has started to become more consistent, and currently, I’m able to get on at least once a day. This is still not enough, and I am constantly trying to improve my time online, and I’m seeing some promising results.

Introduction: Hello, (It’s me) I’m SpongeyStar or Spongey, or Spongai, whichever you prefer. I’m 15 years old and live in New Zealand. I love to do Programming and aim for doing some sort of Engineering when I’m older. (probably Software Engineering) I can currently program in basic Python, HTML CSS, and a little of C++.

I’m not that sporty though I do want to start up a new sport in the next year. In my free time aside from Minecraft, I play on my scooter outside, read a book, or ‘try’ doing some baking!

I also joined Duke of Edinburgh, which is where you do a set skill, physical, and service item for a period of 3-6 months. I undertook programming for skill, badminton for physical, and looking after children at after school care. Duke of Edinburgh helps me with my confidence, for example when we did an 18km walk up a hill, I never thought I could do it. Shia la Beouf is right, just do it!

I will be entering Year 11 next year and will be taking up German, Digital Technology and Economics as well as the core subjects, Maths, English and Science. Next year is when we start having important exams that count for the start of University Entrance so I will be planning my time wisely between study and Meep.

Why should you be Helper? Now for the why. Yes, I am that person who applies way too many times. But why? Well look, the answer will be in the next few paragraphs. I just loved my experience as staff in April-May, whether it was learning new commands, meeting the staff members or just having a laugh with them in free time.

Let’s start with my activity in game. I have quite a ‘rare’ timezone. I’m pretty much a day ahead of most of you. Currently, it’s the holidays so I can get on whenever I want. But when school starts in 2 months I won’t be on as much, but that doesn’t mean I will never come on. When it’s around 7pm my time, there aren’t many helpers apart from paincakexx1997. You say there is staff only 24/7 so let’s make it a true statement. Like I said in my introduction I have exams on, but I will be planning my time wisely, allocating time for Meep. Now, my forums activity. If I’m not on the server, I will be on forums. Forums is a place I go to when I feel bored, can’t get onto the server, or just whenever. I’ll either be stalking (heh..), looking for Q&A to help in, or just talking in a convo. I feel I know my way around forums very well.

Work Ethic. Whenever I help people, and they say thank you in a happy manner, it makes me smile. I love the thrill of getting someone that help. I never let anyone hanging on their question and will either answer it or tell them to /modreq it. If I do get accepted, I will make sure I answer modreqs the best I can, with as much explanation as needed. The hundreds of new players joining each week need to be well cared for because if we don’t answer as many of their questions, they might leave.

Experience. As many of you know I was a staff member/helper around April. I was not my best, but I did try as hard as I could. I tried to remember as many of the commands as I could, and asked for help when I needed it. I feel like I should be given a second chance to prove I am a changed SpongeyStar.

Lastly, my dedication. I previously owned a town in Alpha, BikiniBottom. I held that up for a while then knew I had to move on, and so I passed it to another member. I also own a town in Beta, Natura. This town was given to me by Cookies713 who has left. I knew I had to prize the town even though she is gone, but I still keep the town upkeep up. Sometimes I feel like ‘Nah, I’ll build that later.’ That’s the worst feeling I could feel because I know I need to get things done when I need to, and can’t let things wait. And so now I have given my beta town to my alternative account and joined Premede, 2004grevous’ town. I have been a dedicated mayor/resident to all the towns I’ve joined so far. I also try to get in game as much as I can. If it’s nearing the end of the day and I haven’t been on Meep, I will get on at least to check the town and vote, and say hello. I just can’t bear not getting on Meep for a day, makes me feel like I’ve let myself down.

What are your weaknesses? Immaturity - I still have that immature buzz in me. When I’m with close friends on Meep I tend to let my immaturity loose, or if their is a funny topic or something in shout I also let loose. I try to control my immaturity since it’s been the weakness in all my applications, and reasons I’ve been denied. Of course I am still immature, but if accepted I will not let my immaturity strike again.

TeamSpeak - My parents don’t allow me to go on teamspeak, nor do they actually know about its existence. I respect their decision but try my best to find time to get on. If accepted, I will absolutely try to find a moment when I can get on and do an interview, whatever it takes. I’m also quite shy to speak to people who I haven’t seen in real life, but at school we do speeches each year so that can build up my confidence in public speaking.

Introduction:
Hihi! My name is Melissa, but most people like to call me Mel. I'm going into my senior year of highschool this year, and have been actively involved in Student Government and Key Club since freshman year. I'm really into history, geography, traveling, language, and politics. When I'm older, I want to go into a field that somehow incorporates all that and be able to not only gain more knowledge on it everyday, but also to be able to put it to work.

Why should you be Helper?
When I joined the server earlier in the year, I vowed I absolutely would not become staff, and would instead just enjoy my time playing the game and interacting with the community. But honestly, I love helping people. I love being someone that people can rely on, it's really all I've ever known and it comes so naturally to me. As more time passed on this server, I realized I really love the community, and that I want to try to further my role in it.

As previously stated, I am involved in Student Government and Key Club at my school, which means I am used to taking on responsibility and am familiar with how to be a role model for others. I have experience with organizing events, running meetings, and am used to volunteering my time. These responsibilities won't affect my activity on the server, as I'm also very good at managing my schedule efficiently.

I also am experienced with Towny perms, as I'm co-mayor of two towns and have spent a lot of time running them. But above that, I'm a really fast learner, so I can quickly become an expert on anything. When I was staff on another server, we used Hawkeye, and I had it down within a day.

I'm not afraid to ask questions and I'm not afraid to get into the depth of any problem, regardless of who is involved. This means if there's a problem, I am very good at resolving it from an objective standpoint. Even if my best friend on the server broke the rules, I would follow up on the punishment to the dot.

What are your weaknesses?
Teamspeak
I know it's become somewhat of a broken record on staff apps, but Teamspeak is a bit of a weakness for me. I'm a very soft spoken person, and have difficulty inserting myself into conversations I don't feel invited in. This isn't true for when I'm typing, but when I have to use my voice I am incredibly shy. This isn't to say that I won't ever be able to open up on teamspeak, but instead means it will be a bit of a weakness until I'm more comfortable speaking around you all.

Empathy
I'm going to be honest, I have very low levels of empathy. This isn't to say that I'm heartless, but instead means I have to actively try to be empathetic. So my decisions are often based off the book, though I am a very friendly person. I don't personally feel this is too big of a weakness, as people usually don't know unless I tell them.

Introduction: Hello, you may know me as ohDraqq, or under the new alias of Draqq_ - I am a long term Minecraft player and have been with it from the near beginning, even back to the time where 2 letter Minecraft names were a thing. I have witnessed all types of servers grow and fall over the past few years and look forward for the future of Minecraft. I joined Meepcraft mid 2013 and have constructed many relationships and met many amazing people throughout my time on the server and now I'm looking to give back to the server.


Why should you be Architect? Well, to simply put it, I enjoy building in Minecraft. I have not been building in great detail like I am currently, for long - although due to the fact of feedback from players across many communities, not to sound vain or anything but I believe I have gotten pretty good at it. I build in many styles, but usually adapt to buidling in the Medieval, Rustic/Fantasy theme, as personally I believe it looks the best and fits into the Minecraft "time period" the best. Like I said, I do build in many styles but I'd say my strongpoint is in terrain and organics, I spend most of my time perfecting this and I enjoy it very muchly, I have built custom terrain for many communities and people for all types of reasons, although I do still enjoy building structures, as seen in the below screenshots. I have a great desire to learn and very eager to work in a team but I'm equally able to work on my initiative as generally, I find it easier and I've never really worked together within a group building, apart from a small minority of individuals.


What builds have you completed on the server and where might they be located? Although I don't have that many builds located in towny itself, considering this is a towny orientate server. I preferably like to build in creative mode, as would anyone. I have the odd few builds in towny, as seen in some of the screenshots - I am awaiting the arrival of the new creative before starting anything bigger. I have also built numerous amounts of houses and stuff over the past couple years on my Meepcraft /life/.


Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know:

As the vast majority of the players here on Meepcraft know, I have a pretty hefty ban record and although there is no changing that it's still something that myself, and the other players of the server have to keep in mind for this application. I, however, know that my previous actions will have no affect if I was to be considered for this position and I hope the current staff members, and players feel the same way as I do.

While being an architect doesn't have much involvement with the community and its players, like I said already, with my ban history that I would have had little to no trust back then - but I believe that I still have to be somewhat of an rolemodel and I believe I'm more than able to take on that task.

As much as this isn't the place to say this and may sound rather arrogant but I believe having a role/purpose on the server this will only give me a greater incentive to want to play and to want to build to the best of my ability, but not only that, I feel with this position it will allow me to further develop my skills as Minecraft builder and improve myself as a person. This is not to say that I would no longer play on the server if I was to be unsuccessful in this application.

How much experience do you have using Voxel and Worldedit? From being one of the first few people to use Worldedit, I would say I'm pretty experienced and confident in using it, like I have the past few years. I have used Voxel the few odd times for smaller terrain jobs on other servers and such, but my main preference is Worldpainter - I see how this would be a problem, as I would need to send schematics/worlds over if I was to do builds. Regardless of that, I am still very willing to learn and use Voxel more in the near future. As much as the fact of using MCEdit here on Meepcraft, I had previously used it before and I may as well mention that as it pretty much falls in to the same category here.

When did you join Meepcraft? May 30, 2014

Introduction: Hello everyone! I'd like to start off with saying that I'm not a person of words, but a person of actions (aka sorry for the short app.) Most of you remember me as Blizzard and Alex, or know me as Zemblxnity. I'm a 15 year old kid living on the West Coast, and I like to hang out with friends and have a good time. My hobbies occupy coding, reading, and biking. I have an off-job which calls me at random hours and I have to work then. I play League of Legends and some Steam games. I can be very patient when it comes to waiting around, and I can also be mature for my age. I started playing minecraft around a few years ago, and I've played for a while since. I came onto Meep a while ago after Fuzzlr bought an old server and it died out. I stayed on Meep for a while, became helper, and had a mod application up before I resigned and left the server, mostly due to school work.

Before I begin with the official application, I'd like to mention my resignation, and kind of apologize for that. It was highly immature yet I guess that's what happens when lots of things build up in you. Luckily, now I do have an outlet to all the pressure, and can assure nothing like that will happen again. Now, let's get this application started!

Why should you be Helper? I enjoy helping people, and get a certain type of happiness when you're able to teach someone something new or help them out with something they need. I would make an excellent addition to the staff team currently. Why?

Experience: I have been staff for a total of 3 months on Meepcraft, and not to brag but I was one of the most efficient helpers on the team during July - October 2014 (modreq wise.) I am familiar with near all the commands on the server, and I have became familiar with the new ones over the time I've came back and played again. In life, I've been able to be camp counselor, club leader, and many other roles to exemplify leadership and strength in personality and character.

Work Ethic: During my time as helper, I was able to finish over 500+ modreqs (there may be more, but it's hard to track.) I always finish through on the work, and if for any circumstances I won't be able to, I make sure I can deliver on the job to someone who'll finish the work. This happened rarely during my time as staff, but I was able to pass on my modreq onto another staff, give them information regarding it, and would leave when I was sure the staff would be able to finish it. I'm able to focus on a certain task and make sure that the part is finished, or make sure I did as much as I can from my part to contribute to what it is that needs to be done. In school, I am a focused student who always achieves at least a 3.7 GPA (grade point average.)

Involvement: I try to involve myself in as much as the community as I can. Whether it be town hall meetings or Teamspeak, I really try to be active as much as possible. However, on Forums and Shout I try not to post meaningless or irrelevant information or messages. While I'm not so obvious on Shout, I try to shout and help out anyone whenever I can. It is harder to see my name around, yet when I do I make sure that the message is worth it.

What are your weaknesses? I try my best to make sure that my weaknesses are solvable and not a big deal, yet there are still a few that show out.

Unstable Schedule: My schedule is pretty wacky. It can change around and I won't have any idea until maybe 5 minutes before. Due to this, my times online may always be in a different order. However, most of the time I'm online is during graveyard hours, and only 1 or 2 staff are online in the moment. I cannot do much to try and fix my schedule, though I try to stabilize and keep it as organized as possible. I can guarantee though that I'll be able to be online whenever possible.

Activity: As mentioned earlier, my activity on forums and teamspeak is a bit "eh." I get on as much as possible on teamspeak, yet I don't speak much. My forums activity is a bit different. I do get on and check nearly all the posts, I just don't comment on a majority of them.

Introduction: Hi, my ingame name is Blackoak999, but most people call me blackoak, oak, or black, depending on how they want to simplify it. I've been seriously thinking of changing it to Blackoak, since the numbers seem useless now.

I started playing minecraft fairly soon after it came out, and have watched the game become more interesting over time. Obviously, multiplayer makes minecraft even more interesting.

I really do think meepcraft is the best example of virtual reality that exists right now. Each towny has 100 Billion blocks 1 meter in size, which is essentially the current practical limit for virtual reality. Meep has pvp, battling mobs, and peaceful territory in towns - the necessary chaos people need. It's quite possible people need a messy world to be happy. Isn't that what the Matrix movie said? haha

Why you should be Helper? I like helping players and do it even when I'm not staff. I have quite a bit of patience; while playing meep I have even learned how do interact even more effectively with impatient and passive-aggressive people. I think my patience helps me work easily on modreq investigations.

When I work on something I am thorough while keeping a thought toward working as quickly as possible. It's best to get all the facts, then act accordingly.

I try to be fair. I really think it's best to be impartial in general.

What are your weaknesses? One of the hardest things to do for a person is to figure out personal weaknesses. Being totally honest, I think one of my weaknesses would be working on too many things at the same time. Juggling different projects, ingame and in real life, can be a challenge. I know i'm able to do it.

Another weakness would be communicating directly when I need to go do something else. I am working hard to correct this, communicating the time and reason I need to stop for a while on one project - and telling people the time when I will be back on that promised project.

If I am accepted I'll make sure I always communicate.

I do get pretty busy in real life sometimes.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: When my Wife graduated and got an analyst job, we switched roles and I came home to take care of our son. I used to work as a solar electric engineer, and after that worked as an on-site writer. At that time my wife was home with my son. Now I'm home, working on the creative writing career I've always wanted to have. Kid's books are my new career.

I play meep in my downtime, which can be considerable. I need a constant creative challenge; that creative challenge and the community is why I am on.

My son is in school in the daytime, which means I'm available during school hours - 9AM to 3PM PST. I'm able to be on meep while he does his homework too. On the weekends I'm often on meep for quite a while as well.
