Introduction: Hello! My name is Jainil and I am a sophomore at a public high school. I participate in many different school clubs and activities, and love to work with anything involving computers. Many of you know me from my previous experience as a server helper and moderator, and know that I am a complete nerd. Fairly recently, I was accepted into the prestigious Columbia Science Honors program, which allows a select number of participants to take specialized courses with professors of the university. I have also participated with a FIRST Lego League team, and as the head programmer, my team placed first in the North American Open Championship Tournament. Since, I have founded a FIRST Tech Challenge team, which, unlike using Mindstorms to program the FLL robots, uses Java to program a robot to complete a set of given tasks. As a rookie team, we were able to reach the Super-Regional or National level tournament, of which only 4 of the 200 or so teams qualified for in my region. I also enjoy working on projects out of robotics. A couple years ago, my parents purchased me an Arduino. Although playing around with it to make 'cool' lighting displays sounds fun, my experience with programming and idea development allowed me to take it one step further and help my school’s NYS Final Four Volleyball team their practicing, in a project I am currently working on to make a smart volleyball by tracking spin, acceleration and force. A short video that gives much more insight into who I am can be found here: .
Please describe your experience as a developer. Although I have do not have much experience as a developer, I still believe that with the work that I have already done, as well as some learning, I could be a useful asset to the MeepCraft Tech team. Though I do have Java background, I began programming minecraft plugins since fairly recently. I aided a new server by helping establish a basis for their ranking system, to implement different perks plugins as well as adding other fun ideas. More of my work comes from non individual and team projects, which include developing methods of aiding people in daily situations. For example, with my First Lego League team, I created a website known as Lab Share which allowed for the multitude of unused lab equipment found in many companies to be connected and delivered to local schools who were in need of the equipment. Also, as an avid cross country runner, I developed (and am developing) an Android app, known as ONEHUNDRED%, which allows for users to set daily and weekly running goals for themselves. Similar to Charity Miles, if the user runs, money is donated to the charity as users run, and the more a user runs, more money is donated to a charity. However, because money can not be grown on trees (unfortunately), implemented in this app is a clever method to both help those in need as well as give a boost to runners. If one does not reach their daily or weekly goal, they have to pay a fine, which get stored in a bank and eventually paid off to charities. This project, in which a prototyped version was completed within 8 hours, placed 2nd at the Annual HackTrin at the Trinity School in New York City.
What programming languages are you familiar with? Although I may be young, I am very familiar with many different programming languages. I began venturing into programming as a 6th grader, intrigued by the word itself. I started off delving into Python, unknowing that it would be very difficult. After working on developing some skill in the language, I eventually gave up after the course reached Object Oriented coding. My poor 12 year old mind could not handle the horrors. Soon, after working a bit with Scratch, I worked on Markup Languages and Javascript/Bootstrap. After getting bored of making the same types of websites again and learning some other languages along the way (Like C/C++ for the Arduino), I finally came to Java. Although I am slightly rusty on some languages, I truly believe experience is the driving force of knowledge.
What are you most proud of as your work as a developer? As a developer I am most proud of the ONEHUNDRED% app which I created for the 2016 Annual HackTrin. As described above this Android app was meant to help people get in shape as well as donate money to charities. Chosen by the founders of several different start up companies, it was truly an honor to receive this recognition. As stated in our demonstration of the app: “It is January 31st, and I am proud to announce that I broke my New Year's Resolution 30 days ago”. Especially because of the applicability and importance of the project, which is to promote running, and help people stick to their goals, something I find very important, Other awards I have received in programming includes a Third and Fifth Place medal at the Game On competition in Science Olympiad, which is a test of time in which a team of two has to make an innovative game from scratch within 50 minutes.
How do you plan to enrich the experience of MeepCraft with your development contributions? As a previous server moderator, I was able to see first hand the large issues that were constantly being posted on the staff slack, and understand that there are many daily issues that need to be resolved. I would love to help fix the broken plugins and believe that with my activity levels I would be able to nail things down fast. As the mayor of Paris in alpha, and as we are going through a major renovation, I understand that collaboration is a key factor to success. Together, with the help of staff and the help of the community, I believe we can bring great improvements to the server.
Do you have a GitHub account or personal website? If so, please provide the link(s) here. A link to my personal website can be found at jsutaria.github.io, and my github is github.com/jsutaria. I also occasionally project snapshots on twitter (@jainilsutaria1). Thank you very much for reading this application, and I hope you can give me feedback on places to improve myself!

My name is Matthew James Sawyer, I am twenty-nine years old and I live in Michigan. I have four children, the oldest is 12 and my youngest is 3. I say this because I thought I should delve further into who I am. To those who know me, I have a complicated, and sorted past, but am found to be open, and honest with my experiences and opinions. I am a person who can admit they are wrong, but will not stop when they are right. I am extremely open-minded and generally view all walks of life optimistically.
I originally achieved Helper on March 5th, 2013 in MeepNetworks after a horrible application and the shortest interview in my life. In short time, I found I really excelled at one thing, player relations. On a modreq, I am patient, understanding, and I spend time with the person who needs help to make sure all their questions, or concerns are addressed. This includes not only helping them with their direct issue in a communicative way, to ensure I am with that player step by step. After this is solved, I always make sure to address any other questions they might have on any other issues.
Aside from how I address modreqs I also understand the finer points of moderation. I understand when a ban is effective or not, or if another indirect method of moderations will be more effective in situations. I do not resort to a ban to correct behavior, but use dialogue with the player, using bans as a last resort, or if the conduct is unacceptable enough.
Having children, I think I have a leg up in this role, as you have to learn to guide them, and be patient with their choices. I understand a bad choice doesn’t make you a bad person, and in this, I am able to form very close relations with the very people who I’ve had an antagonistic past with. I value this ability very much, and I think this will help me intregrate into the community as a helper.
This experience, and understanding, coupled with what I have done for the server in my previous terms are why I believe I am qualified for the helper position. I know if given the chance I will be able to effectively complete modreqs with professionalism, politeness, and I try to make every player I help leave with a smile, as I believe that is my job, to make the player glad they asked for helped. I have always believed in this, and have worked in relation with that ideology.
As effective as I am in helping people, I have also a number of personal weaknesses. One of these are I can be stubborn, and I can be opiniated. While I never intend to insult or offend anyone, I will engage in a discussion should I feel another way. These discussions are not small direct comments on an idea, but I try to be a substantive point of view into the discussion, outlining why I feel a certain way, what solutions I believe to work, etc. I realize sometimes this rubs people the wrong way, and I see that this may not always be a good thing. But I believe that an open dialogue regardless is always beneficial for the team, as long as the discussion is done in a mature, and tactful way.
In December, I was asked to resign, and then banned for spawning in gold. While not a ongoing weakness it is something that has happened, and it feels proper to include in this any staff application I may have, to promote being open and honest about it. This is a weakness that has no chance of recetivism, nor any acts akin to this one. But it does show that I have made bad decisions in the past.
I have a tendacy to be direct at times, which may come across as too blunt, and isn’t as productive as I want it to be. This is something I work on, and isn’t a product of trying to be rude to someone, as often times it’s just me being too direct for my own good. However, as staff, I tend to take more time before addressing a player, in order to make sure what I type isn’t too blunt, direct, or rude.
But enough with the fluffy statements that everyone writes. This community and server, both which I hold dear, and which has made me a better person, knows who I am. They know the good and bad of what I’ve done. I spawned in gold, and I betrayed trust from people I held dear, and I lost very valuable friendships. This happened five months ago, and since then I’ve been trying to rebuild that trust and those friendships. Some of that will never happen, unfortunately.
If accepted, I can ensure you that I will bring the same level of due diligence I’ve always had when it comes to modreqs. I will continue to strive for personal excellence, professionalism, and making sure players walk away from their modreq with a smile, and satisfaction. I will do my job to the best of my abilities, and I hope I will bring real and good contributions to the server as a whole.
In conclusion, I ask for another chance to show the server that my one mistake, as horrible, and stupid as it was, does not define me or what I do. Everything that I have done outside that does define me, and what I do. Thank you for reading this, and thank you for your time.

When did you join Meepcraft? May 24, 2014
Introduction: Hello everyone! My name is Zoe and I have the Elite rank on Meep. I am a 12 year old girl currently living California with my parents and little brother. I enjoy mostly all sports including (but not limited to) soccer, basketball, and volleyball. I enjoy different hands-on activities/crafts, and online games like Minecraft. My favorite academic subject in school is science (physics/engineering) and my overall favorite is art (or PE,) my favorite ice cream flavor is Mocha Almond Fudge. In my free-time, I love hanging out with friends whether it be staying home and watching cooking shows, going to a movie, or flying across the country. I love it. it’s not where you go, but who you go with, that makes an experience special.
I have had many different experiences with leadership whether it be on a soccer/basketball team, being a counselor at summer camps, or even being a staff member on this server; I tend to take charge and try my best to keep my team happy/healthy. I have been on Meepcraft for 2 years, and during this, I have become very well-known throughout the community. I take part in in global conversations, and love chatting with players in game, and on teamspeak. I have been trying my best to give people who request it the help that they need from simple things like ‘I need to join a town,' to more complicated like ‘how do I maintain a town?’ I get such satisfaction out of the thanks I receive that it drives me to help more and more. I am younger than a lot of Meepers, but I'd like to think that I am a role model; I teach people rules, commands, and settle issues between players.
Why should you be Helper? I was a member of the staff team (I resigned because my schedule was being overcrowded, and I felt like I couldn’t be a helpful part of the team any longer,) and I was also for a short amount of time on a smaller, local server; both times I gave my 110% and helped whoever, whenever I could. Being on the staff team changes your perspective on the game. You are looked up to, you are who players turn to, and you feel so empowered by just answering a few questions and receiving thanks. At first, I had issues learning prism commands, and understanding the very complex ones, but eventually I picked up on it and was able to use them quickly and efficiently. I had so much fun during my time as staff, not only do I feel I succeeded in the job I had, I made tons of lasting friendships and memories that keep pulling me back.
I’ve been playing on Meepcraft for quite some time now, and during my time here, I have learned a large amount of commands. I know commands that help improve communications between players, commands that help players start and maintain towns/pwarps, commands to check to see who is online when, and commands to teleport to their wished destination. These might not seem spectacular, but these are the most common questions asked in global. I know many more that come in handy during other instances.
I have a very strong work ethic and whenever I am requested, I try my hardest to help; in simple ways, or more complex. My activity can be a little on-off at some points, with my wifi going down, using bad computers, or just getting my laptop taken away, but I will try to work around these obstacles and make sure that when I am on, I am contributing all that I can to keep players happy/satisfied with their experience.
I’ve been playing Meepcraft since mid 2014 so around 2 years, with breaks in between for school/sports. I usually become more active towards the end of the year when projects are ending and summer is nearly upon us. I play often throughout summer with occasional breaks for small vacations; so it is a very ideal time to spend on the staff team helping as more players join and others become more active. I love Meep and it’s community. The whole idea of the server is so well carved out. It’s not like most servers, as towny is apart of it. You can really connect with your town(s) whereas in other hub servers, that is not an option. Also, in other servers, the players are much more hostile/profane to one another, and here lots of us have created great bonds here with each other, that people stand up for one another, and help each other out. This aspect of the server is really appealing to me, and it’s something that keeps me eager to log onto. I am very involved in lots of Meep’s activities it offers. I talk within the server, contribute to forum discussions where I see fit, and have so much fun talking to people on teamspeak. wherever I go, though, I keep an eye out for people who have questions or need help.
Last time on the staff team, I took to checking out kitpvp whenever there was an absence of Modreqs because it was something lots of members at the time, didn’t pay much attention to; I circled ctf. to make sure nobody was afk, and then just kept an eye out for questions in global. I learned that it didn’t matter if a Modreq had been filed, you still had the duty to help players on the server. In other words, it’s not all about the modreq count, it’s about the satisfaction of the players; the satisfaction of the customers.
What are your weaknesses? It’s been mentioned in the past, but I’ll mention it once again; I do not have an unlimited amount of time per day I can be on my computer. I cannot be on all the time. The way I overcame this though, was simply by making the most out of the time I did have online. I never hesitated to claim a modreq, to help that player find a town. I just did it. I have an issue procrastinating and if I ever leave things unfinished or lacking, it stays in my mind and nags me to complete it. I guess you could say this isn’t much of an issue, but I still believe it should be here only because of the actual time I have to play.
I grazed on this above, but I resigned because of schedule overcrowding. I cannot guarantee this won’t happen again, but I know it won’t for a while. Around this time, soccer is winding down along with school (aside from a few projects) and I feel I will be able to use the amount of time I am supplied with to the fullest.
My maturity at times can be questionable; but I believe I know when to be mature and when to be serious. I am a 12 year old girl in middle school, so I won’t be totally sane all the time (or ever; maybe sane isn’t a good word) but the bottom line is I know when I need to enforce something, I can and will.
I am very prideful. I don’t let people tell me I’m wrong easily. I carry my head very high and I am embarrassed or angered when I am proved wrong or shown my flaws. In all honesty, that might be the reason why I have issues coming up with weaknesses. I usually don’t feel as bad if I respect the player(s) and I respect just about everyone on this server, so this shouldn’t get in the way.
Another issue I have is saying no. This is more of a personal weakness; but a weakness all the same. I was teleported to somebody asking for God armor, and guess what I did; I gave them full god armor for free. Twice. That’s a fair amount of money just thrown to someone who asked. However, I don’t think this will be a large obstacle for me on the staff team.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I love Meep; I have bonded with it. I have the skills and knowledge needed to become a productive member of the team, and I hope you think so aswell. If I am accepted, I will continue to learn along with the rest of the community, while teaching and sharing with others.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed my application. Catch me (if we’re on at the same time) on our teamspeak channel if you ever want to talk! Also, if you have questions about my resignation, find details here

Introduction: For those of you who don't know me, My name is Josh, a 29 year old restaurant manager who has a lot of spare time and no family. Ive been playing on this server since before we knew the name CG, I play no other servers, I am wholly devoted to meepcraft, I am knowledgeable in almost every aspect of the server and would require next to no training, my 3 year ban history is immaculate except for a friendly ban from fuzzlr for spamming /s while i was previously staff. Long story short, I'm just plain tired of "playing" the eco, I have a town thats fantastic and complete enough that I do not need to devote much time to sustaining it. I'm left with the feeling of emptiness, I see faults/gaps in staff and in leadership, I know I can be an asset to the team again and I am confident that I have more to offer this server than what I am currently providing.
Why should you be Helper? I kind of answered "why I want to be helper" above; But, It's hard to quantify or simply state why "I should" without sounding arrogant or as if I know what the staff team needs. Given current staff shortages due to the ever repeating cycle of inactivity/demote/reapply/quit/return I suppose all thats "required" would be honesty, loyalty, availability, as well as good work ethic and the desire to do the job for free(volunteer). And if an applicant met those criteria, he or she "should be staff", but I am speculating...
I can offer bullet points to some of my shining qualities that suggest that I am more qualified than some of my peers however:
-3 Years of activity in at least 75% of the year.
-My age allows me to be more controlled in my actions and decision making, not to mention I can relate to a different subset of players on this server more easily, (The adults with money)
-My record in terms of whether or not I have been a positive or toxic member of this server speaks for itself.
-There are more than 50 people out there with ranks that were never charged back, there has never been an instance of me mistreating my town residents or failing to adhere to the rules laid forth by prior staff.
-I was staff when there was a much higher workload for helpers/mods so I can tolerate the stress of a busy day.
-For the reason mentioned above, I am well versed on the internal structure of staff and its processes as well as the server and it's plugins.
-My knowledge of the subtree commands for towny is top level, I live to foster new citizens into future leaders.
-My professional courtesy towards potential and current customers(players) is outstanding, if you pry into my replies in ban appeals and whatnot from around a year ago you will see the time and attention I put into the words I post/say while I represent staff. (not going to lie, I am human, I have made rage posts that would be unprofessional if they had been sent while I was representative of meepcraft staff, but I am not going to go back and delete them for the sake of image.)
-Reliability is above par, I have no responsibilities outside of a job, will respond timely to texts, forum messages, and skype.
-My active time is during the dead east and late west coast, I get to witness Europe wake up, as well as play during the AUS/NZ peak. Not a lot of east cost staff can cover those timezones.
-Long time forum user/lurker who is generally well received, can devote plenty of time even off location to handle web related incidents.
What are your weaknesses? Sugar cookies, bacon, Mtn. Dew.
Ok seriously;
-Active time contradicts most other staff members, I will be less visible than the normal staff member in /shout due to this.
-Due to my age I find it difficult to relax in teamspeak, I certainly have 0 issues using this interface for staff related things, or to specifically work with a single player, but I do not "hang out" in TS. It is also once again partly due to the timezone and when I am awake, I live in a condo with roommates and lmao at 4am doesn't go over too well.
-I also have less than average desire to milk my "staff title" in game, I am applying for a job where I help new citizens, weed out the bad players and offer support to any other staff member who requests, I am NOT here to become famous in /shout, some of you current staff may be +/- on this.
-I quit once from staff with no notice, also became inactive on the server for about 7 months after that...
To say on that; I deluded myself into thinking my purpose on staff was to change the server to what I believed to be the best, which is decidely different that what IS the best. When fellow staff members decided to go the opposite direction than that, I refused to participate since it was a blatant disrespect to my own wishes, I became offended because I believed my donated money earned me respect, by definition a "rage quit".
HOWEVER, in retrospect the true issue was that I lost sight of why I was staff in the first place, and why I want to be staff now. I just want to help and I know I can.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I will gladly elaborate on any subject, just pm me.FatIsNoob, Telinus, Lady_Hestia and 16 others like this. -

Hello everyone, My name is Emily. But you all know me as, bbycakes. I have been playing meepcraft since January 2014. I have donated to receive the ultimate rank & applied for staff for the Helper position. I have been helper Since May 16th 2014. I am a senior in high school and I graduate In December. I'm very active & I enjoy running a lot. I love to run Cross Country. It's my passion and my favorite thing about school. I placed second place in region's meet in 2013 & I plan on placing 1st this year! I won medals in every race except 2 (State & a race with 150 other people). I would like to coach CC when I'm older if I can. I plan on going to Culinary school when I graduate High school Or maybe become a middle school or high school Science teacher. I work as a waitress & a hostess at a family cafe down the road from my house on Thursday - Saturday. I love working there! I also do some volunteer work with my church and school whenever something comes up! I also plan on applying for another full-time job when I finish High school.
I have been helper on this server for a few weeks now. In my time as helper I have tried my hardest to do my job efficiently, correctly, and to my fullest potential. I have done as many modrequests as I have be able to do in my time as staff. I am confident and I believe I have the ability and am ready to step up in my role as a staff member and help the community more as a moderator. I feel as if I have not only handled many of every type of modrequest but yet helped many people with different situations and problems . Some easy, some very difficult alike. I have learned many of the HawkEye commands I can use and know how to use them well and when to use them! From simple command searches or radius searches, to the harder time-stamp searches. As a Helper on meepcraft I feel as if I have learned many new things and improved on things as well. From personal improvements on my confidence and knowledge of the server to Teamspeak activity, Forums activity, and many other things involving the server!
I have improved greatly in my knowledge on HawkEye commands to know what ones to use in many different situations. I can find whatever information I need using the commands I have been taught by other staff members. I have even been helping the newer staff learn these commands as well when they have troubles or to help them out and find the information they need faster and more efficiently. I have learned many new things other than HawkEye commands. From helper or general staff commands to many new towny commands as well. I am able to help people with many commands in any part of the server if needed!
My forums activity and Teamspeak activity has grown significantly from before I was a helper. I may not post many things on the forums but I always have it open in a tab & I read many posts on it everyday and check it many times a day. I try to make many new posts on forums under various category whenever I think of something interesting to post about. Before I was helper I didn't read forums much or post much. On Team Speak I now get on it every time I am playing on meep and try to connect with the community even more than I could in game or on forums. Unlike before I was helper I would barely talk at all or get on it. If you see me in staff channels on Ts with other people 90% of the time I am working on a modrequest, Getting help on a modrequest or helping someone else with something staff related!
There are many types of modrequests filed every day. Many issues rise, Many questions are asked. Some are very easy but some are a lot harder and require a lot of work. From all the modrequests I have I have done some of every type with many different situations. I've learned a lot and have had much experience on the different issues and situations that the community has had. When I get a modrequest I make sure I answer the question the best I can. If I don't know the answer, I'll tell you I don't know but, that I will find out the answer or get someone that can help you with your issue. I take modrequests seriously. On more complicated modrequests if I am on TS I usually go into a channel by myself so I can concentrate on what I need to do and what I need to find to successfully finish it. If I struggle with something I NEVER hesitate to ask for help to clarify something or to learn how to do something. I want what I'm doing to be done right and be correct.
My favorite modrequest I have done involved a plot scamming case. It was my first of the type. Someone reported they thought they were scammed 400k on a plot. While looking for previous commands using HawkEye, @reggles44 Taught me the time stamp search/filter. It makes it where you can look up a command, a message, or block place on a specific time and date From one date to another! I used to find what commands the scammer typed that day and what commands he typed on a specific plot using a radius search. I used the HawkEye teleports to teleport to all the plots he sold that day & over the next few days. While searching for the proof of the plot scam I discovered 4 other people were scammed by the same guy in the same day! The scammer ended up being perm banned for proof on 4 plot scams in just a few days. Knowing that even though someone did something wrong and tried to be as sneaky as they could be I was able to "catch the bad guy" as Cooley's would say & have them be banned / punished accordingly. Things like this is what makes me love being apart of staff.
It's important for other staff as well as the community to know my weaknesses so they know what to expect from me as a moderator if they don't already know my weaknesses now. I wouldn't say this is a big issue or weakness but it is something I need to work or improve on. I do not have a lot of /kicks or bans. I have quite a few of reported bans but not many temp bans and kicks from /shout issues etc. I'm not a fast type so I always get beat to it [Not that it is a race]. I tend to misspell names wrong a lot of times too. Like I said I don't think this is a major issue preventing me from becoming Moderator.
I am VERY hesitant on tacking action on some things as well. Like when to does come to temp banning people in shout I like to double check in the rules for the proper ban time or punishment etc. If I have the slightest doubt on it. So then in that, Someone else does it before me. also, I don't want to do a wrong punishment . I always verify with other staff to make sure I'm going to do the right thing or double check rules again. I'm very worried I will mess up or do something wrong. (As Chaos stated on my helper application I have some anxiety when it comes to this) I know how the community reacts sometimes to wrong bans or kicks etc. And I don't want to be in those positions. [ I know I shouldn't let the fear of that hold me back or make me second guess myself] But, I just need to get some more confidence and work on memorizing the bantimes more but it comes with practice. I know I can improve on all this by just being staff longer & doing it more. I see this as a strength and weakness at the same time. Its not good I second guess myself on things I DO without a doubt know but its also good because I don't get "ban happy" or jump the gun to quickly. I think it out and Make sure its correct.
Another "weakness" is slowly approaching. School. My Senior year will be in August, Loaded with 4 academic classes, Cross country, work, and meep of course! I will have a full schedule. Its very important school comes first this semester I need good grades for scholarships since this is my last chance to get them. With cross country practice every day from August to end of November after school then work after practice AND studying for SAT's, Senior papers, and Graduation test. I wont have as much time to play meep as I do now. I will still play & try to balance it and play meep as much as I can. But I hope you understand that school and work are my number one priority. But during the summer I will have plenty of time to get more experience as staff.
I hope I have explained why I believe I have what it takes to become a moderator. I want to help the community more than ever now and I feel as if I can do it. This is why I want to step up into this position. As I have said earlier I have learned a lot of new things & maybe mastered some things. I'm still learning [as are many others] and am not a perfect person or staff. I know I will make mistakes & I shouldn't let the fear of messing up & the outcome of it make me second guess myself to the chance I may not take action or take a long time to do anything. I will try my 100% hardest to improve on the things I'm not good at or confident in. I think once I overcome these weaknesses I feel as if I have the potential to become an even better staff member. No matter what happens here I love meepcraft and the community and I will continue to assist them in whatever ways I am capable of as the rank I am or rank I may be given. Thank you for reading.

Introduction: Hello everyone! My name is Caleb, but in-game you’ve seen me as LordInateur. My life story isn’t too terribly exciting—I’m the eldest brother of my younger brother and sister, and currently I am finishing up my bachelor’s degrees in computer science, digital forensics, software engineering, and mathematics at my university. I’ve been proud to serve as the chair of our local student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (an international computer science club, for those of you not familiar with the ACM). I’ve also had the honor of serving my peers as a Senator for our student government and as a past president of my fraternity. However, at heart I am a developer. While I had developed software for a relatively long time, my true passion definitely came from Minecraft (in that one can easily modify it and create new gamemodes or other plugins). I joined MeepCraft quite a long time ago (or so it seems), right around 2012 and it was family for a long time. There was even one point in time when I was very proud to serve on the moderation-side of the MeepStaff. Unfortunately, school got a little bit in the way for a couple of years, but I was very pleased to still see a wonderful player base when I returned. I was very glad to see some old faces (some of these old faces I’ve become very good friends with IRL), and I am happy to have become friends with some new faces. I look forward to hopefully serving the players of MeepCraft in our quest to fully streamline the behind-the-scenes technical work of the server.
Please describe your experience as a developer. I learned my first computer language in 2009, when I was in the fourth grade. I had asked my father to teach me how to code, and in response he swiftly tossed an O’Reilly HTML 4.0 book at me. And while computer science had been a passion of mine ever since then, I didn’t fully realize my passion for the art until I started working with Bukkit (a Minecraft server-modding API) in 2012. Since then, I’ve developed a number of applications (most of which are unfortunately closed-source, due to the proprietary nature of the companies that I have worked for). When I graduated high school in 2013, I was immediately asked by Sonic Corporate Headquarters (the fast food chain) to work as a summer intern in our IT department, where I worked as the lead developer to create COGNOS reports, AS/400 SSN hashing programs, and test suites for automated production code testing. Currently, I work as the lead developer for a company that creates and maintains the data connections between various hospitals. As I mentioned before, I currently also run the computer science student organization at my university (where I’m working on also launching a robotics team), and I also serve there as one of the lead tutors for our computer science department. I mention this because I believe that development is so much more than just coding a project. Rather, development is also the act of being a team-player to get things done in a timely fashion, and I believe that these experiences have taught me a considerable deal about software development lifecycles.
What programming languages are you familiar with? I am familiar with computer languages such as C, C++, Java, Elixir + Erlang/OTP, RPGLE (a little), Ada (a little), XML, YAML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and jQuery), C# (a little), Python, batch + bash scripts, SQL, etc.
What are you most proud of as your work as a developer? I am most proud of my ability to teach as a result of my work developing software. When I’m finished with my career path, I’d like to come back and teach computer science as a professor at my university. I’m also proud that a lot of my tech work (especially in health care) is going to be directly used to help people.
How do you plan to enrich the experience of MeepCraft with your development contributions? There is a lot of potential at MeepCraft. One of the things that I would personally like to work on is the possibility of fully integrating the MeepCraft website with the in-game experience (as noted in one of the suggestions that I had posted on the forums earlier). That being said, I look forward to being able to help out in any way I can with any of the existing software that we use as well as any new software that we hope to bring onboard.
Do you have a GitHub account or personal website? If so, please provide the link(s) here. My website is at www.calebpower.com and the account that I use for code hosting is calebpower — Bitbucket. Some of the work that I had was lost to the ages or was closed-source, but I’ve uploaded some projects that I’m working on currently. If you look on the Bitbucket account, the project that is the most complete at the moment is probably the “AmusingDeaths” Minecraft plugin.Adrian, Flamedemond2, MasterofBoom and 15 others like this. -

Introduction: Hello,
I am a 21 year old soon to be college Senior majoring in Financial Analysis and Entrepreneurship at Clarkson University. Some of you might more commonly know me as reggles44, the weird ex-admin who forces people to go to pwarp food after feed was removed. Others might know me as the old player who use to run the town Northwater back when meep was on one server (Ill put a little story at the end if you want to read). I come to the community today to see if I can make a new name for myself as a developer/tech.
Northwater Story (How I started on Meep):
So midway through high school I started playing minecraft and I quickly became interested in multiplayer. Luckily this was right around the time that Meepcraft had advertisements running on the server listing sites so I decided to try it out. My first impression was a mixture of fear and wonder, mainly based on the sheer number of people standing around in spawn. At the time there was only a couple aspects; towny, wild, and colony ctf. After a short time farming with jobs to gain enough money for a town I started Northwater, and oh boy was this a train wreck. After I had around 10 residents in the town all with nice houses I realized that the entire town, streets, plots, and spawn were off center by 1 block. Even after that mistake when I did another expansion onto the town I had it off again. By this time there was around 30 residents some of whom I still see today (xxProzorzzxx, Rockpancake).
Please describe your experience as a developer. I started doing development work a little while after becoming admin last year and since then it has been a constant enjoyment for me. The original joy or minecraft, creation, is the exact reason why I continue to play and want to create content. While my experience coding isn't long my creativity for development and ability to problem solve have allowed me to have some amazing creations for the server in the past. The main reason I would like to continue developing for the server is because I see a new opportunity to have an extremely open platform for creative development in new donor perks as well as new features that set Meepcraft apart from every other server out there. I truely do believe that this chance will allow the development team, the staff, and the community to jump into a whole new type of survival and towny if the proper direction and ideas are there.
What programming languages are you familiar with? Java, Ruby, a little python
What are you most proud of as your work as a developer? It is a close tie between the Halloween event and the Kitpvp plugin.
How do you plan to enrich the experience of MeepCraft with your development contributions? I have two main objectives that will have to happen at different times as I am able to prove myself as a developer and programmer. First, strengthening the plugins I have already worked on such as kitpvp, staff plugins and maybe developing some event plugins. Then after gaining more experience I would like to tackle the challenge of releasing more and more EULA compliant perks for donors along with additional features for the community.
Do you have a GitHub account or personal website? If so, please provide the link(s) here. I currently have a mostly unused github account which I can link if it is required. -

Introduction: Hello. Let's get something clear straight away. My IG name might be Y4cky, but it is pronounced as Jackie and you will get a small, unimportant +1 on my imaginary list for referring to me as Vlado, my real name. I have been on the server for something less than three months. My first month was mostly spent on the Skyblock world, the reason why I came to the server in the first place. The credits for my staying here should be given to all the amazing people I have met since. Well, anyways... Originally, I did not plan on getting involved with the Towny community at all. I liked my cozy island, but destiny was not kind to it and it had to go. I joined forces with a fellow Meeper and worked on a bigger, more advanced island. During that time I started planning/organizing my first little events. Soon, I realized what potential Towny has and made use of it as an environment for me to work in. I developed a certain fondness of the Parkour world and dedicated an unhealthy amount of time jumping around, making a Meeble here and there. At this moment, I am mostly to be found in the Creative world brainstorming ideas. If you are for some strange reasons interested in my real life, refer to this thread: http://www.meepcraft.com/threads/hurro.36948/
Why you should be Helper? The pleasure in Meepcraft, Minecraft and games in general for me is not in the sake of playing the game for my personal entertainment, but rather playing the game for the community, therefor I think the helper position is a perfect fit, while it is a representation of that sentiment.
During my school days, I used to organize and supervise mathcamps (Yay, fun) for kids/teenagers. I have been part of bigger gaming communities for a few years now, from which I always took a chunk of experience in the areas of organisation, community management, cool headed behaviour, while improving on the traits of respect and tolerance. The satisfaction in gaming was highly influenced by the player base, the atmosphere, the overall enjoyment. Nothing would delight me more, than seeing, that I left a mark behind, I made a difference, I shaped the community to a better one, contributed. Meepcraft is a perfect 'playground' to continue on this notion. I consider myself a decent shapping tool to be used on the 'playground'. Pardon the generality of the past two paragraphs, but I feel it had to be said that way.
The main reason, I decided to post an application, was to get more self-support in community events and assist players during the process of making them as a mean of distraction. At this moment, my main focus is on planning, building and testing areas for public events. It is something that I have been doing for a few years and is a never ending excitement for me. I do get a lot of spare time in the process of materializing my ideas and feel like I could fill it with doing something else than dully watching the screen and/or running in circles.
Whatever project/problem I take on, is my priority and I am dedicated to it. I am that type of person, who clears a cave to the last bit, even though he has double chests full of coal/iron. That type of person, who needs his resources to be organized and torches placed in a square grid 8 blocks apart. That type of person, who will spend his whole day solving a redstone/building problem, rather than using an easier work-around that does the job only partially. One could say, I am a perfectionist, but with a positive meaning.
I like to ask question, a lot of questions. During the 3 months on the server I have “asked“ my way to fully (sufficiently) understanding the server and its community – a necessity for a staff member.
What are your weaknesses? Language: Since English is not my first language, I tend to have problems with prunonciatoin (pun intended) and spelling. Sometimes a word decides to play the ‘blackout game‘, which might lead to an awkward situation or slow reactions. I do not consider it a big weakness, but certainly a nuisance.
Moody: Most of the time, I keep a calm and focused stance. There are a few things, though, that can disrupt it. I do get overjoyed or grumpy, which might seem as a sign of unprofessionality.
Teamspeak: I do not have a problem speaking, neither have I trouble understanding people. However, I have quite a shy personality and do talk only when addressed. If you are expecting to find me on Teamspeak, you will be disappointed, I am not on often.
PvP: I am not the biggest fan of Player vs. Player activities, do not excel at them and try to avoid them as much as I can. My lacking knowledge in this area might be an issue.
There is certainly room for improvement on a couple of aspects of my gameplay and behaviour, on which I would love to work.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: (Pretend this is a conclusion):
I have tried to be sincere and straightforward with my application to show you my true self. I believe, I have the necessary abilities, experiences and assumes to be a full-value Staff member. Time has been and IS a controversial topic for me as a future University student, nevertheless I do think I have the potential to do more with my time spent on Meepcraft and provide you with an extra pair of capable hands.

Introduction:
Hello all! As most of you know, I’m Fang. I joined Meepcraft on February 14, 2013. I enjoy puzzles, talking to people, and reading. I am a freshman in high school (going into sophomore year soon), and was recently elected to the Honor Council. Out of school, I enjoy playing Minecraft, ultimate Frisbee, and soccer, which I have been playing since I was 4. I have a love of learning and experiencing new things (and meeting new people), which is one of the main reasons why I stayed here when I first joined. I am excited to say that I now feel I am ready to apply to become a helper on this wonderful server.
Why you should be Helper/Mod?: There are a few things that would make me a good helper, such as
-Dedication: Being active continuously on the server for over a year has shown my dedication. I started in Old Meep, and stayed through Meep Networks. I care about this server a lot, and want to be a part of one of the many groups that makes it a better place to be.
-Friendliness: I try to be as friendly as I can, to everyone, at all times. I try avoiding offending people and if I do, I apologize. I am welcoming to newer members and often give new players I come across money or items to help them reach their goals and stay on the server. It is important to be friendly so that people know they can come to me for support, and I don’t seem high-and-mighty or unapproachable.
-Work Ethic: I am a great worker. I have a drive to please, and so every time I do the job to the best of my capabilities and try to go above and beyond if possible. This is necessary for any job, to power through even the times when we don’t want to do what we have to, but do it anyway. But it’s much easier to have when you’re doing something you feel is contributing to something bigger and better than paperwork.
-Flexibility/being able to work with others: I put these together, because to work with others, you must be willing to be flexible, both in what you are doing (such as being able to drop what you are doing to help), and being able to change your point of view (like to see a problem from all sides of the situation). I am usually able to work well with others and be flexible to their needs.
- Community Involvement: I can usually be found in shout, chatting with people, answering questions, and interacting with other members of the community. It’s very important to be involved in the community so that a basic trust is already founded, and so you are able to easily put yourself in the other person’s shoes because you have the experience of being like them.
Weaknesses:
-Pride: When I am constantly complimented by different people, over and over, I become prideful about it. Though I try not to let myself get big-headed, I may get sensitive about the topic and overreact to someone telling me the contrary. To fix this, I try to be modest at all times, and take insults as jokes instead of malicious intent.
-Argumentative or Stubborn: Most people don’t like being wrong, and I’m no exception. If I have an opinion about something, it will rarely change (except if new evidence is brought to the table), such as in moral debates. This can be detrimental if I unwisely choose to ignore an opinion if I disagree with it. Lately, I have been working on this by acknowledging and considering other ideas more deeply rather than ignoring them.
-Lack of familiarity with helper commands: Because I have never been staff on other servers (or Meepcraft), I have not yet learned the commands that I will need to know to perform well. But I know that with some teaching, I will be able to learn them quickly.
-Age: Though most people wouldn’t count age as a weakness (as it is maturity that matters more), as a freshman going into sophomore year, I will need more time to get adjusted to the homework load. Also, as a safety concern, I rarely use my microphone, as my parents don’t like me talking much.
Conclusion:
Thank you for reading this and congrats if you made it through that wall of text! I would love to hear any and all constructive criticism below, along with your vote. Thank you so much, everyone, for making my Meep experience wonderful. I hope that by applying and possibly getting accepted (and even if I don’t), help make yours as wonderful as mine has been.fetch3000rules, PhoenixPuppy, FluffbearRCT and 15 others like this. -

...
I don't think people realize how many stupid unnecessary comments like this we get in staff applications all the time. On every staff application, at least, there is some stupid comment that offers nothing to the conversation other than the knowledge that you are a biased moron who is incapable of providing insight to the conversation. I don't care if you think Bob is a "nice guy." We have too many "nice guys" on our staff team and nice guy does not equate to responsible or professional.
As for my opinion of you, I think you were an... interesting type of staff member. I think you handled your demotion better than most but you still are very close minded and are not open to other's opinions. When I see you post on the forum, I have to question what you are thinking sometimes, and you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes you will go completely off task, repeat what has been said, or just ramble ramble. I have rarely seen you positively contribute to an issue on this forum. However, you are an active member in the community and you seem to be friendly towards many members. You have lots of dedication however I am going to have to see you work more on your maturity because to me you don't act like the 13 year old you say you are. I understand you have attitude problems like you say you have, but from my perspective, you are going to need some more work on those before I will support your addition to the staff team once again.
I don't like that you kept your demotion so quiet for so long, I thought you resigned. Your reasons are very vague and don't give me any reason to trust you at the moment.

I will not be apologizing for my blunt honest opinion but I will apologize for all these fangirls of yours that are too childish to actually give a constructive comment. I still think it is ridiculous that I get forum banned when I give stupid comments but staff members (@bass_flow ) are allowed to do the same thing I did with no sudden or instant repercussions.
Also, I don't like your statement (@BobJonCreeper ), as there is a chance Bob won't get accepted. You saying an optimistic comment like that makes you look like a liar and is incorrect. This isn't the first time I've had to call you out on what you have said and I believe you should watch your comments, as they always are very expectant.Last edited: Sep 3, 2014Jiltism, iiTzJDL, Flamedemond2 and 14 others like this. -

Lol +1 you've like improved so much zomg like how you tell people not to double post in shout and stuff. Zomg such help.
Except for the fact that you've been a nuisance for the entirety of your career on Meep up until 2 weeks ago when you started acting "helpful". It's not hard to look helpful in shout, and you're past actions far outway your obvious attempts to get staff these past couple weeks. You might be able to brown nose some mods into thinking you're a good choice for helper, but I'm no Bob444444.

Introduction:
Hey everyone, I am Iatemyfriends but many of you know me by either Iate, Iamf, or just Matt. I’ve been around the server for a long time, as I joined in 2012 when I was 11 years old and I’ve made a lot of wonderful and lasting memories with many of you here. I’m currently a 2nd year university student studying political science. During my spare time, I am typically trying to catch up on my studies, playing Meepcraft among other games, or watching hockey.
Have you ever held a staff position on MeepCraft or another server? If yes, please describe your experience. If no, please explain why you are interested in a position on MeepCraft.
I was a helper back in 2014 for a short amount of time. I worked under BooBear1227 during that time, which has built up a lasting friendship and also decent working chemistry. During my time as a helper, I became familiar with how being a staff member truly works and how to enhance the experience of other players and other staff members themselves. Through this, I also learned for myself first hand the importance of teamwork, which I still truly believe to be an integral part of being on a staff team. I have a very good understanding of the rules, how to handle modreqs and how to conduct myself in a more professional manner. I resigned though after 3 weeks of being a staff member as I was only 14 at the time, and had many other personal things I felt were more important to focus on.
Which staff position(s) are you applying for / interested in? Please select all that apply.
Mod
Why should you be considered for the above staff position(s)?
I should be considered for helper because I truly want to see this server succeed, and seeing the number of old players coming back and the new players joining for the first time gives me a lot of hope that the server is headed in the right direction. I would really enjoy the opportunity to help make the server a more welcoming place for all players alike.
Experience
- Since being a staff member in 2014, as well as an active member of the community for 8+ years, I have a lot of overall Meepcraft experience. I was only a staff member for a short time of about 3 weeks, but I was able to pick up the new commands and plugins pretty quickly and believe I can do so again with a little bit of knowledge on them beforehand. I have a generally good understanding of a lot of the towny commands as well as all of the rules that have been implemented, with discord and forums rules included. I also carry all of my experience of being a staff member and working together with a staff team in order to present players with the most pleasant experience.
Teamwork
- I always take teamwork very seriously and ensure that the team and myself get things done efficiently while maintaining a focus on effectiveness. When things are expected of me, especially in a team setting I put my best effort forward always in hopes that I can improve the experience of the team and also ensure the best product is put forward. I also tend to make myself extremely malleable within a team in the sense that I will try to fill in whatever role is needed from myself.
Connections
- I have also made many connections with many players from different groups on the server over my time playing. Even during some of my downtimes from the server itself, I kept pretty involved with the community through various other games, as well as talking on the forums and discord. I find having good connections to be an integral part of being a staff member in this new community as it can help me relate and understand others who are in need of assistance and provide them with the best experience possible. My ban history is also (regrettably) extensive, which can allow me to relate to others who may be in a similar situation to myself a few years back and hopefully help them do better, rather than having to resort to other alternatives.
What are your weaknesses?
Past
- I know that being a staff member boils directly down to what kind of person you are and your ability to do good for others and volunteer your time towards making the server a better place. Throughout my past, I have not always, or even most of the time followed the rules or tried to conduct myself in a remotely decent manner. Unfortunately, no matter what, my past will follow me, but I have attempted to fix my mistakes and have not been banned since April 2020. While my ban history is extensive, I am no longer the same person I was when I was 13, 14, or 15 years old and I have grown greatly, and is evident with my ban history no longer growing.
Maturity
- Maturity is a flaw of mine that has remained consistent since 2012, however, this has improved over the past while as well. As a kid on this server, I would make completely inappropriate jokes, harass people, and make it my absolute life mission to make people upset by any means. I have definitely ceased to do this in recent times but I still do make jokes in global chat with friends however I ensure that I keep it as respectful as possible and avoid sensitive topics.
Time
- I also do not have all the time in the world as I am currently in university during a stressful time, so I will prioritize school over Meepcraft, but I would still happily volunteer my free time in the hopes of making the server a better place for others. This unfortunately isn't something that I can really improve upon, but I will try my hardest to ensure that I can be on daily.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know:

Introduction: Hello! My in game name is Pepermint2939, but everyone just calls me “Peper”. I have been playing on meep for almost a year now, and I have met so many people in the past 11 months. I’ve made so many friendships with people who I would probably never know in real life since we live in different cities, states, or different countries. In real life my personality can vary depending who I am around. For example, with my friends, I can be loud and energetic then in class I’m calm and collected (most of the time). I don’t disrupt the teacher when he/she is talking, I write stories in my notebook, and draw maps for the mini worlds I thought up of (during our breaks).
So, as I said before, I write stories in my freetime. I am currently writing a story called “Alice”. I have four chapters written, though I have to edit them, proof read them, and make sure there aren’t any holes in the plot so it makes sense. The story is about a girl named Alice who’s was a ghost and she comes back alive then looks for her murderer, finds her old friends, and sees how life changed after her death. I will be writing the Fanfiction soon, I have a plot for it, I just have to work out the details and actually write it. Some of more of my hobbies are singing, watching anime (I have A LOT to watch…), talking on TS/Skype with my friends, stalking people on forums, playing on meep (of course), and shipping everyone.
Other than that, I am also taking ASL as my world language at school. I absolutely love the language and I excell at it compared to other students. One day when I am older I want to become a full time ASL interpreter or an elementary school teacher. In other subjects I don’t completely apply myself, but I really do want to start working hard going into my sophomore year of high school. I’ve found a few colleges I would love to attend and I understand if I don’t completely apply myself now, I may not have the best chance of getting into the school of my choice.
Why should you be Helper? I should be helper because I love to help people. I try to help as much as I can, whether it’s a simple question about a command in global chat to helping a new player find a town and understand the basics of towny. I have been a co-mayor/assistant in three towns. The first was Oregon/Fiore. I was co-mayor for at least three months and I learned most of the commands here. The other I am going to be co-mayor/have been co-mayor (name undecided). I am an assistant in Braveheart. I can easily problem solve. I’ll analyze the problem and attempt to solve it quickly while making sure the player is happy and satisfied. I really want to give back to the meep community, help new players have the same meep experience as I did, and feel welcomed instead of leaving as soon as they log onto the server due to being confused. I am also very friendly and try to make new friends each and everyday while making sure that I am keeping up with my responsibilities in real life and on meep.
What are your weaknesses? Procrastination: This is a huge problem for me in game and real life. I’ll plan to do a huge project (like building a store or making the fanfiction) without planning before hand then I end up abandoning it, leaving a mess, and disappointing people. I can also be easily distracted, though I will be working on it. I am starting to set small goals for myself then work from there to stay focused and do what I need to do. I’ll start planning before hand as I have done this before and it has helped me. I can be very determined at times with things that are very important to me and meep has become one of the most important things in my life as I am trying to be active everyday on forums, TeamSpeak, and Meep itself. I can’t guarantee that I’ll finish everything on time, but I will try to finish things to the best of my ability and get them done as soon as possible.
Maturity: I can be quite immature at times. Though I try to joke a lot, as I am a playful person, I tend to overdo most of the time. I also overuse “!~/~” and “xD”, but I am also working on this. I will only use this when greeting people, welcoming them, saying goodbye, congratulating someone on a new rank/achievement, and every so often when I’m happy or excited as this does annoy some people. For the “xD”, I will try to use “Lol/Haha” so my chat in global doesn’t look like spam.
Confidence: I can doubt myself at times and this has caused me to hold back from doing what I really love to do. For example, before I rejoined TeamSpeak again, I felt shy even though all of my friends were in the same channel and probably would have loved to talk since it had been a while since I was on Ts. Then during the school year I was supposed to get tutoring in the library, but since yet again I felt shy and nervous.Though this is something I could easily fix as I can easily warm up to anyone after talking for a bit, and you’ll see a different side of me that can be friendly, kind, and funny.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: The last time I made an application and uploaded it to the forums, I had an overload of stress in real life with some friends and family. I also completely rushed making my application and feel I could have spent more time on it.
I will not be available on meep from 6am to 2pm for the rest of the week and next week (weekdays only). Though, to make it up, I will try to be active on TS and forums.
My skype is Mittensformcshizzle (if you’d like to contact me or would just like to talk).
Just tell me who you are before or I might not accept it, thinking you’re just a bot.

A waiting period of 1-3 months would not affect dedication in the slightest and would be the safest move for this server.MoonlitMadness, GroovyGrevous, metr0n0me and 13 others like this. -
