I can't find a single news story about this at all, only mentions of it on places like Reddit claiming she said so on her Instagram story. Not exactly reliable and I really doubt she was lying, maybe she claimed she was so she'd stop being harassed by fans of xxxtentacion, or because he pressured her into saying it.
And he was also charged with home invasion, robbery, and aggravated battery in 2015, in 2016 he mentioned in an interview how in jail he brutally assaulted a cellmate because he was a "******" and smeared his blood on his face, and in 2017 he attacked fans during a show on two separate occasions.
He was not a good person.

Like I said before, it could’ve been due to pressure from xxxtentacion or his fans, stuff like that happens a lot

Never said he deserved it, no one really deserves to die.
I do believe however that the world is better off without him in it, that he was a terrible person and doesn’t deserve respect just because he’s dead now.

It’s so sad especially since he turned his life around. He donated so much to charities, spread so much positivity, and talked about things people are afraid to talk about. His music always conveys so much emotion and is by far my favorite artist. His music not only helped me but millions of others and anyone who thinks that he deserved to die is Ignorant. Not only has X helped so many with his music but endless acts of service the past two years donating over 100k to domestic violence programs and other charities and starting the helpinghand hashtag with promoted acts of kindness and refused to release his album until it hit over 100k posts. You all bring up the one incident that wasn’t even proven true and disregard all the good he has done.
