They were removed for a massive abuse in the system.
The abuse was quite simple: the plugin checked stock prices through public websites (I believe ours ran off Yahoo Finance, not clear on that, though). The public websites were updated every five minutes to conserve their server resources from constantly having to change. However, the market is obviously in real time. Therefore, you could purchase an app or something more reliable to track stocks, and you'd know what the market would do five minutes later, give or take.
