Stock market?!?!?

I think it would help the eco like Alot right now if we added back the stock market to meep? becouse of recently there is only a few ways to get money in game and a stock market could help it!

ideas:
1. you could buy stock in a town e.g. look at mooville we made stock and wew now #2 in resedents!
2. you could buy stock in players! id love to stock with bloodys bal!
3. fake company stock based on total player ballance?

What about the old stock system based off of real company stocks? Could that be re-implemented, or was it abused too?

like for e.g. i can put in as much stock as i want but i can only take out a certin amount per hour

again limit how much you can take hpout per hour should fix it! and to make it fluctuate more you could do sudden events bi hourly like it crashing or spiking

I did. Then I left. One drawback to a stock market managed solely by citizens is the easily manipulated share price.

Question.

Do we know just how far behind the server is when updating from real stocks? Because if we know that number, could potentially selling stocks where it takes them back after x amount of time work?

For example. If the server is two minutes behind. When you sell your stock to the server, it will take your stock, but you won’t recieve money from it for two minutes; since that was the legitimate value of the stock when you sold it. A sign could be placed the the place where stocks are being traded stating that meep is a few seconds/minutes behind and the most reliable source would be to check the real stocks online

It's obvious they were "easily abused". I can read. I'm asking what made them too easily abused. Once we know what made them "too easily abused" we can discuss a solution. "Too easily abused" provides little description that can be used to solve the problem.

A. i think they were paper so dupe
B. if i remember right. they were really good money makers and easy to get if you had lots of money already so the top players could get stocks get more money buy more stocks and repeat.

if its based on irl stocks and they fuctuate that way insted of in game players making it fluctuate it would fix it extensivly
