Staff Rant

First off idk where to put this so move it appropriately. Second this isn't concerning all staff.

I find it odd that I have had 4 modreqs go unanswered for more than 3 hours in the past 2 months but y'all find the time to temp me for "spam/language". Now idk what you mean by "language" and I wasn't talking anymore than anyone else. This isn't against you flame but yeah.

I'm sick of how some staff can find the time to talk in global all damn day but can't even help a player asking them questions. I could send a modreq, msg them personally, talk in global, and they still wouldn't answer but yet are having a completely unnecessary conversation in global whilst I'm asking a legitimate question.

Now I dont know what you guys look for in staff and I dont really care. But you guys are staff so please do your job. Is it really that hard to answer a modreq or even a pm. You seem to have all the time in the world to talk about kittens and microwave pizzas in global so I think you can spare some time. Im not even the only person having this problem and upset about it. Its a common issue. So can you please find a fix for this. Aka actually start doing your job better?

Once again this isn't about the entire staff team and Id rather not name names.

Im reasonable with time issues and whether or not you might have other people to help but in no way should it ever take more than an hour, hell 30 minutes, to do the job you were asked to do. I dont know whats going on with staff but before I took a break it was never like this and you could get your modreq answered within 5 minutes of sending it in. Hell 30 seconds for some help in global. I find it ridiculous I can get help faster from a random cit than a staff member.

Please start doing your jobs.

Also dont remove this unless you have a legitimate reason to and if so msg me that reason

Also: this is kind of a bad response to a concern. Like, I don't really know what happened exactly, so I'm not entirely sure if it's legit or not, but there's no reason to be so dismissive when someone brings up a concern about staff.

Plus it's not even like he's being super unreasonable, so..

Because youre being oh so very constructive to the situation? Dealing with people who complain all the time when some of these staff take hours out of their day just do do this for the server is the worst part of moderating
If you want change be a part of the community peoole like amd staff dont mind dealing with and suggest others follow instread of being a jerk when something doesnt go quite how you like and after you get banned for being stupid.
Like all of the people who do the same thing you said, Ive been waiting for hours omg and no one helps but screw me if I say 1 naughty word right? All of them, without fail, were either afk when the modreq was answered, were uncooperative, or didnt like what the staff told them. Orrr just no staff were actually available, which is rarely a team or team members fault or when someone asked a question in glibal it was already answered by someone else so repeating the same info is stupid.

Complaining without construction just makes staff laugh at you and want to talk to you less

As someone that had a major role in rewriting the staff doc for Rule Clarifications, Punishments, and Needed Proof this just doesn't sound right.

I'm very confident that almost every rule has it listed that multiple warnings must be given, followed be a kick, before any ban. Also spamming temp bans start at 10m, the same is true for extremely graphic sexual content with temp ban lengths starting at 10m and working upwards if it's repeated. Both of which shouldn't take place until a player has been warned and kicked.

I'm obviously not sure what he was saying but "talking about pornography" doesn't necessarily sound the same as extremely graphic sexual content, it almost depends on the context of the conversation. Additionally it's not against the rules to be "an overall nusiance"

So 1h ban doesn't exactly seem like getting off lucky, especially when it should've been preceded by a kick then 10m temp if it continued. It would seem like a staff member may not be too familiar with the current Punishment lengths or is being too harsh on players.

But, again I obviously don't know everything so I may be wrong.

I apologize that your situations were handled indifferently and if you'd like to discuss it we can I'm free whenever. However, I will stand by my staff in their decisions to handle situations because they are trained and we have a guide to go by when handiling situations as these. Publicly making a post is not the way that this should be handled as this only brings out anger within the community towards staff. I'd much rather you make a staff complaint or message me personally. This is much like a guest at Disney World screaming to the cast members that someone ruined their vacation for everyone to see. If you have an issue please, please come to me and I'll handle it accordingly.
