Introduction: Hi I'm Daniel, also known as danieljthompson. I was one of the original Meepers from long ago and still proud to be one. I have been off for 3 or 4 years now, as newer games and consoles came out, but still, old memories of this game makes me smile. From socializing with everyone, to playing the game. So I recently returned, and was still happy to see the server was still what it is today. Why should you be Helper? The reason why is obviously wanting to help, but apart from that, I also enjoy assisting people with problems; from them asking a question or concern, through to aiding them out, including that feeling of joy and happiness when you improved someone's experience through to the very end. From working at a supermarket retail for over 2 years, I have learnt a lot of important information, including;

-Good work ethics

You should always do the right thing, even when not asked or said, nor benefiting myself more by doing it wrong, always do assist what the person asks for.

-Mutual respect to everyone

Being kind, happy and wise with people, can be enough to make a person's day.

-Never break a rule on Code of Conduct/policy, and

The rules are in place to both outline important rules and to ensure they are enforced.

-To always be open-minded with people.

Never assume you know what the player wants or is asking, ensure they are after what they want, including any questions and follow up ones they have about the server of the game.

My performance is to understand what the player wants/is asking for, and to assist them. If for some reason, I was confused or unsure about the answer, I would stick with them and persist until it's resolved. I am also dedicated to help someone else out when only a small amount of staff was on, which included someone kicked from his home in towns to discover the fault that led to the problem, that was lack of funds. What are your weaknesses? However as well as working hard with players to provide a great service, there is two major weaknesses I have.

Hot Temper: A large amount of time, I would be calm and peaceful. But sometimes, if someone continuously pushes me, a may go ballistic on them. I have really been working hard on this, and my plan of action is to just get away from the game, have a drink and a 5 minute rest to calm down, before returning to the game.

Ignorant people: Usually those who really bother me, are those who are just rude to everyone. I would sometimes be rude to the person between 1-2 hours, up to the whole day. This doesn't affect me too much, but if being out of control, I plan to either ignore them and/or place them with another staff member, if the person has requested help, as well as any rules in place for the situation. Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I use to be a very stubborn player in MeepCraft when I played the game, however years later, I have learnt to be accepting of others and to be opened minded. As I have recently returned, I have had to relearn a fairly large amount of mechanics from the server, but if learnt right, I will learn it efficiently. I would also like to add that when I debate on the discussions, I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but express my way of seeing it and to ensure that its true before posting it, including a message to say that its meant for those who are saying things that aren't true (for example, Australia lacks American Standards, with no research into it). And I am not afraid to put out any suggestion I have to improve the server, like my suggestion about having a shop/casino/game list.

First of all, it is required that you ask permission to have a player as a reference, and I know that you did not get permission from myself and Midnight_Galaxy.

I know that you've been thinking about applying for a bit, and I'm gonna give the same advice to you as I'd give to any other applicant at this time. The staff team is currently a pretty good size and we don't really need any more helpers unless they're gonna offer something special. Currently I don't see you being able to offer anything different from any other helper.

If the moderation team wants to see you in an interview, I'm all for it, but to be accepted you need to show something special and unique.

Our timezone usually does not have many players online and we do not need an increase of staff members for it.

Just a few pointers out that yeah, it's not right to just place references here and there when they have not said they want to be one. You do have some potential in you as seen as your views, and things that you have learnt, although, I feel that your weaknesses hold you back a bit. we need people who are not ignorant, as it makes me feel you won't cooperate with people when it comes to dealing with 2 people having a bit of a fallout. and as @Kling said. there is multiple staff online at that when you should be on. what makes you think you can add a large benefit to the staff team?

I must have worded that wrong. I meant more towards if they were giving me a type of attitude that I was doing something wrong, in that sense.

Because with my experience from working, I felt as though I would bring in the experience I've learnt to expand my mind, and to show my way of seeing things in perspective.

I know I've got a lot to learn, and it won't be easy, but its still better to have a try to achieve a goal, than to have never tried at all. And I don't mind the outcome, as you never know unless you try to go for it.

Hello Daniel,

Your application was generally not bad. I do see that you have the qualities necessary to be able to help on a normal server. However, I'm at a -1 for you this time, due to the following reasons.

First, your references. Yes, you need to ask them and I'm glad that you clarified it!
Second, your forums activity. I've only seen you pretty much on the Debates section and your profile page. Try reaching out to other members of the community!! Also, I do see that you get heated very easily, so try working on calming yourself, and being an easy person. Another hint, it is usually not good to criticize someone's country, if they are proud of it...
Third, your discord activity. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like you've been missing that piece.
And fourth, your overall contribution that you can bring to the staff team. Like @Vamp1re_Man said, our staff to player ratio is large, and we don't believe that we need more moderation staff members unless they have the ability to move projects forward, make the server a better environment, etc.

Do not be discouraged though! I think you have a good potential, but now is not the right time... PM me on here or Discord if you have questions!!

There is much more. So I do not want to bring this into politics but your debates are a problem. Thats okay though, I was denied for the same exact thing. Just know when you want to be helper you shouldn't be degrading other peoples countries or personal life. As a staff member you need to treat everyone with respect not just in game but on forums and discord.

George W Bush, invaded Afghanistan and other countries in the Middle East, because he said that they were hiding "Weapons of mass destruction", even after the UN came back to say that there was not evidence to support that statement, he continued to try to convince the people to attack the country, which didn't go to plan. So he then planned a staged attack on American soil as a sign they were under attack by the Middle East, which led to the death of thousands and thousands of people. Which gave birth to a new terrorist group called ISIS, wanting both revenge from the death of some many of its people and to send a message to each country in hopes of dividing countries and starting wars, and so on. The only reason he planned to invade these countries was because it was highly rich with oils and fossil fuels to help continue the United States with lower prices on fuel. Like I said, it's how I see it Marlin, you may see it differently and I do accept it, but I expect just a little bit more research into what you will say before you post.

I try to be active, but when I'm on, everyone else doesn't seem to be on or talking too much about anything major. I do leave it on, and to see if anyone needs help or wants to have a chat, however not many people on to talk at all.

I think what made me post it sooner than I wanted to, was because a staff in game chat was advertising to sign up and be a staff member, making it seem like you needed a couple more staff at this moment. May have been a little too soon then.

I've been really trying hard to. When I first started working (in a remote area) I usually had elderly people come up and say "Yes, a white male." and that was shocking to me, but I held my tongue for that. It's a little challenging, but I believe I can do it.

For me it is a -1 and here are the reasons for it:
- your application needs work, go look at the guide, previous accepted and even denied applications to get a feel on what to do.
- references - you need to ask first, if you had asked me I could have said yes
- your activity, yes you have been active in game but I think you need to further immurse yourself in it more

if you work on yourself I do think you would be a amazing staff member!

What you list can easily be done without the rank. The rules are in place to both outline important rules and to ensure they are enforced. Can you at least connect this to traits you have though? I'm learning nothing other than what each of these terms mean even though I already know.

You could have also gone with "be open to opposing views". Statistically speaking, that trait is more likely to be useful than your definition of "open-mindedness"

Rule of thumb for etiquette: you don't want to put your suggestions WITHIN your staff app.

Coming from someone who can only really judge people based on their app:

You need to work on ideas and conveying them
Elaborate on your strengths as that is your most important section
Your weaknesses are potentially not your true weaknesses
Explain WHY you need helper rank to more fluently help the server
Proofread your app to make sure it's virtually free of typographical errors
I still don't understand how your strengths are shown

Hey Daniel! so after reading your app I'm going to have to give you a -1 too. From what I've seen of you ig you are really nice and active and helpful but like the others have said, the team is pretty full right now. Also, the fact that ignorant people is a weakness for you is concerning to me because as a staff member you will deal a lot with those kinds of people whether it be a citizen or an ultimate, it comes with the territory.

Hey Mini, apology for that. It must have been a blind spot that a few people I've asked to view, didn't highlight/I didn't notice correctly about this typo before posting. Next time I will either correct it to what it means, or may just leave it out and would explain it in an interview about it, because I find it hard to explain what I mean sometimes in an application. What I meant was more on the lines of, just out of control people who think they can say anything to anyone in anyway they want and get away with it. So I can deal with ignorant people, but I meant more towards being hurtful to everyone's way of thinking and belief (Mental Note: Improve the application and what you mean). And yes, if denied this time, I will wait until you need more staff Helpers before posting. And thanks MiniArch for expressing what you feel about it.
