I've spent a good amount of time thinking about this. All day, actually. I leave no votes, only thoughts. To start, there was the issue of your application.
Introduction: Hello, my name is Frank but you guys know me as VKL. I'm 18 years old and I live in New Jersey. I'm into any sort of technology(mostly) and networking. I graduated high school in June of 2016 and I'm currently not in college so I figured I could use this interest a lot more since I have free time.

I will be the first to confess I don't know you on a personal level. This really doesn't help me at all, either. I want to know a lot more about you in this. What other interests do you have outside of the game? What do you like to do when you're in-game? How did you find the server, and what made you stay? Basically, I want to hear your story. An introduction should tell me exactly how you are, give me a hint of your personality, and help me to understand the logic you use in every situation. This introduction doesn't really give me any of that.
Why should you be Helper? I believe I should be a Helper on Meepcraft because I like to think that I am qualified enough and could be a great asset to the staff team. I'm not too close with many staff members but the ones I am close to do a good job and I think I could make the staff team ever greater than it already is. Most of the time I'm on Meep I'm usually just sitting afk talking to my friends but I think being staff would be a good thing for me because it would give me stuff to do when I'm not building for my town and it would benefit the server with the work ethic I have that would get many modreqs done a day.
Over the last 4 months I've only obtained one ban which was for bug abuse and I really regret that now because it looks as if I haven't changed. I think since coming back I have matured(while there's still immaturity in me) enough to handle a staff position on the server.
My dedication to the server could be very well appreciated by the staff team because I'm usually on all night in EST timezone usually until 5am or so and I don't see many staff members on and it can get a little hectic at those times.

Again, this doesn't give me any strong reason to support you. You would like to be a part of the staff team to give you something to do, but what happens if you become bored of that, too?
it's not really surprising that veteran staff are -1 and newer staff are +1. i don't mean to put newer staff down, they just don't know what we had to go through.
vkl we get along. but you have time and time again shown you can't maintain the facade. i know you will leak info and will show in time that you are not staff material. im fairly certain
the only reason we get along is because im not staff anymore.
staff, please trust the oldest member of your team (andrew) and other people who worked through this. andrew and i have been dealing with vkl for 3 years.

I don't care a bit about your banhistory over the last three years, because, let's be honest, people change. They do it all the time. I am only looking at the last 2-3 months, the only relevant time period to now. I understand the sentiment greatly. I myself am one of those newer members. I don't see why huge numbers of bans from last year even should be held against a person like a permanent record that you can never be redeemed of. Still, opinions of those who have seen been with you over that amount of time should be taken into account.
Vkl can not be trusted. For example, and sorry this is a little bit bias but it is my most recent example, I was decent friends with vkl. I told him some personal things, and all was well -- so I thought. Little did I know, vkl was feeding the information I told him to some of his friends, of whom I will not name here, and I felt very betrayed, and I knew it was silly to ever have trusted VKL, who got banned 69 times just for the giggles.

This in itself is a huge concern I must bring forth. You are friends with a lot of people, and have talked about just about everything. Having lots of friends is fine, it's a good thing, actually. But if you spill secrets told to you privately in a one-on-one conversation with your friends, how can you be trusted to keep things secret that should be kept within staff conversations? This isn't something from years ago, but in the last month.
This guy does not deserve a spot here. The server would be an absolute JOKE if he were. Do you know how many times we said "vkl is never, never coming back" ? way to friggen many. that was a joke in itself. No one will take this server seriously if VKL is a staff member. I'm honestly appalled anyone is even considering it. Meep is seen as a joke to many and I would hate to see that continue. Instead of hiring incompetent helpers, find developers, sit down and figure out what to do. Heck knows we have the suggestions and the existing staff to do it. Hiring VKL is going in a negative direction.

I fail to see how the server's current need for developers means we should suddenyl deny people applying for other positions. I do agree with some of this, though, how do you plan to talk to people from the past who only know you from the past? Every other day, we have someone "come back" from long ago, so I'm curious to hear how you plan to talk to those who you might deem as "haters."
What are your weaknesses? Maturity is probably the biggest weakness of mine, but at the moment I'm working on that. I can be immature at times as you can tell in /shout or just if you know me personally. I think if I was to be accepted for Helper that it would change greatly and i would have no problems taking my work seriously and acting in a mature way unlike the old VKL.
Temper could be another weakness as I sometimes get frustrated when some people act up in shout and I might yell at them a little bit but I can control that with no problems need be.

This section was also fairly weak. It would have been the perfect area to discuss your ban history, and how you have moved past that.
okay so are you actually going to influence the server at all in the long run? probably not. the position as a helper is totally disposable and easily replaceable and i think we don't really need you right now.
He isn't going to have any game-changing ideas,

Why is this even a factor when applying for Helper? You don't hire someone for one position, because they have ideas for a higher position.
I know the application was weak but I was seen a lot of "weak" ones get accepted

It doesn't matter how weak someone else's app was who got accepted. "Always do more than is required of you." Just because someone else had a weaker app, doesn't mean it's fine for all apps to be weak.
I think you have a lot of potential. You know the rules, you know the players, you have the experience. I want to see more, though. I want to see a solid amount of consistency, that tells me without a doubt you've changed permanently.
