1.10 or 1.8 PVP?

Hello, we are deciding whether to keep /warp kitpvp at 1.10, or change it to 1.8. Feel free to post your opinions below and vote on the poll.

1.8, if it stays 1.10 the price per kill needs to go up a lot, it takes way way to long to kill someone now in 1.10. People are like oh it prevents spam clicking which has no skill, but they don't spam click because they cant. Also its annoying fighting someone for 5 mins in 1.10 then someone runs up and steals your kill.

1.8 is just spamming and it takes no skill at all. It is literally how fast can you click and how long can your armor stay intact

They have a mouse. Their hand is right on it. How they hell can they not repediatly click a thousand times. I would agree with you on the price of the kill, but im sure you could debuff the insane heath regen and you wouldnt have to raise the price.
But saying that people cant spam click, i have never met a guy in my life that uses their mouse like a tortise would.

For people who are pro 1.9

[SPOILER="Point 1"]When it comes to combat, faster paces requires quicker thinking, faster reaction time and overall a faster playstyle. 1.9 doesn't offer this, limiting the combat to 1 click a second, which lowers this skill cap to a point where newer/inexperienced players don't need to worry about critical factors such as Wtaps, or even a simple strafe. There's no more thrill in getting your opponent in a combo that makes them inable to hit you since you are simply too quick for them.

[SPOILER="Point 2"]1.9 offers little in terms of new strategy. With the exception of different damage for items and cooldown, 1.9 really doesn't add back what it takes. I already posted a bit on it but if I were to list the negatives side-by-side with the positives you'd see what I mean. (Remember, my opinion)

+ Different types of damage
- Click cooldown
- Eliminates strafing, or otherwise an entire sword meta
+ Cool arrows
- Makes the gameplay completely dependent on how well the server can transmit a SINGULAR click packet, if it screws it up then you miss out on damage for a second.

With the exception of one thing, 1.9 only adds aesthetics in pvp. [/SPOILER]
[SPOILER="Point 3"]1.9 is really only useful for RPG or single player. Nerfing your attack speed makes mob fights more exciting, as before mobs weren't a challenge. However, in terms of a competitive player VS. player system, this is completely degrades the atmosphere of challenge.

Lastly, before I post I want to get one thing clear, as the majority of pro 1.9 players use this as their argument

A. Click speed is NOT a factor. I repeat, NOT a factor in terms of separating two players in skill. There's is no or very minimal advantage in clicking faster, as you can only hit a player twice in a second anyway.

So please, don't say "1.9 requires skill, as you need to time your hits" because there is so much logical fallacy in that statement which I can explain with time but it's pretty self explanatory.[[/SPOILER]

You only start getting decent hits after the first couple swings. Strafing :
-The W and S tap
Enlighten yourself on the W and S tap, that revolutionizes the sprint key. Halting your sprint to deal more knockback, or moving backwards slightly to avoid a hit and moving inward.

-A - D tap

Couldn't really find a video on it since it's not used much, but it's basically alternating between A and D based on the location of your opponent. If your opponent is about strafe right, you strafe right to match with D, then alternate between A and D, it's hard to do and it's only useful in certain situations
-Circle Strafing -
Shoutout to my boy @Iatemyfriendss for being stupid and always circle strafing me when I sucked at pvp. This usually only works on less-experienced players, but involved circling around your opponent with A and D, and sometimes mixed in W taps for full effect.
-Prestrafe

This one triggers me, @Cyclops the prestrafe loser. This one is honestly the most frustrating thing for me, even though I don't even pvp much anymore. This involves tricking your opponent by using A or D in order to get them to aim another direction. It's kind of hard to explain but it 's extremely useful and frightening if your opponent does it well
Comboing :
CLICK SPEED DOES NOT MATTER IN PVP LOL. I click 6 cps and got one of the top scores in the world. The faster click, the more chance you have of forcing your click packet to be answered first. However, after playing around with an autoclicker that clicked 1000 cps, I was still able to easily beat the person using it. Click speed has little to no impact on the game. Educate yourself before you try using that as an excuse why 1.9 is better. I'm not going to even going to bother trying to explain comboing to you if you think click speed determines how well you can combo

You've got to be really stupid to think spamming a rod will help you. Not even going to bother explaining the logistics of it , but it's basically to temporarily stun your opponent

Weapon? Well yeah, it's a weapon thanks for stating the obvious. But you probably don't know how to bow stun or anything like that, so for now, yeah it's a weapon

Of course there's more. Minecraft combat is ever changing, and people are always looking for ways to beat tactics used by pros. Ever heard of what a Meta is? Probably not. Very long story short, it's about that
Player A beats Player B
Player B beats Player C
Player C beats Player A
However, player D, beats Players A,B, and C.
Player D is the one that is the best at the game, and the more people that fight Player D, and learn his strategy, will then continue to beat Players A, B, and C who have mastered their techniques. It's extremely complicated to explain, and a good way to learn would be to watch this video if you want
