I see what you're saying, and agree pretty well with it. The only thing is that the only effective way to create stimulus server-side is a) lowering taxes or b) having a /warp shop . Since b has been stated to be out of the question, I went with a , and of the wide umbrella of taxes to decrease, I chose the Pwarp tax (partially because of my own bias) , but more so in light of the fact that I feel asking for towny taxes to be decreased would be insta- shot down. In any case, you're right, we don't want everyone to have a shop, so perhaps if we increased the out front cost to buy a shop, but lowered the daily cost to about 2.25-2.5k /day , that would combat the issue, whilst addressing the arguments you 'no-ers' have. Furthermore, if the towny taxes (like I advocate for) were also decreased, it should be a decent change.

I too understand the logic to which you are referring to. I disagree with the idea of lowering Towny taxes. Currently, the tax per plot is 25 Meebles. With a level 20 farmer job,
right now, at this very moment, you can make at least 100 Meebles in a
minute. The taxes and prices for new land of the Towny plugin is already
very low. To create on pwarp, it costs
thirty times as much as claiming the plot it is on (if it is a normal plot, while it is six times as much for an outpost).
With the removal of the server shop, I believe the economic focus is moving towards the vshop. Now, there are currently several issues with the shop, which are already on Trello. That is something that is server-side that techs can work on to stimulate the Eco. Which, means if anyone finds any kind of issue, we need it to be reported, either here on the forums, or even just a simple /modreq.
Of course, all this is void if this "Jobs Update" you staff have been ranting about were to come out and work the wonders I've been hoping it would. Please, I beg of you staff, really think thoroughly into the implementation of this update: I know my tone and words make me seem like I'm rushing you guys, but this really needs to be a home run here.

I'm going to be completely honest here; I have no idea about the new jobs plugin. I cannot say if it will work or not, because I am not part of the project. However, you're free to suggest any ideas, or express possible concerns about it. I, for one, love reading suggestions, whether I agree with the idea or not.
