I understand the amount of concern people have right now about the economy, as I too think about it a good deal. There are dozens of things the server can do to stimulate the economy that have the possibility of increasing player interaction.
However, lowering the taxes on pwarps will not help with this. If we are looking to stimulate player interaction, lowering pwarp taxes will not affect this, because then everyone and their pet wolf can own a shop. What happens when there's too many shops? Prices lower even more, making it necessary to lower the taxes again. The process continues to the point that nothing is worth selling.
I agree we need more changes to improve the server economy, but lowering pwarp taxes will not help the issue.

I see what you're saying, and agree pretty well with it. The only thing is that the only effective way to create stimulus server-side is a) lowering taxes or b) having a /warp shop . Since b has been stated to be out of the question, I went with a , and of the wide umbrella of taxes to decrease, I chose the Pwarp tax (partially because of my own bias) , but more so in light of the fact that I feel asking for towny taxes to be decreased would be insta- shot down. In any case, you're right, we don't want everyone to have a shop, so perhaps if we increased the out front cost to buy a shop, but lowered the daily cost to about 2.25-2.5k /day , that would combat the issue, whilst addressing the arguments you 'no-ers' have. Furthermore, if the towny taxes (like I advocate for) were also decreased, it should be a decent change.
Of course, all this is void if this "Jobs Update" you staff have been ranting about were to come out and work the wonders I've been hoping it would. Please, I beg of you staff, really think thoroughly into the implementation of this update: I know my tone and words make me seem like I'm rushing you guys, but this really needs to be a home run here. And, in my opinion, implementation of it with some / all of the tax decreases I've stated is a good idea, but what do I know about macro-economics? Anyways, done again.
