Eccept minecraft it's self is on a decline. Towns are built on one kind of player, the player that joins the server, then leaves forever. Only about 1-0.5% of players stay and another 80-90% are not fully active. A fresh new start would be catastrophic for the server.

There's no way to combine Alpha and Beta at this point without significant loss on one side or the other. Even if it was feasible (note that I'm not saying possible) to copy and paste Alpha towns into Beta, unless you can also transfer offline residents you would annihilate the income for those towns.

Maybe there are other ways to bring the two worlds closer together? More intertwined? Can resident requests be broadcasted on both worlds? Can /t add and /t spawn work on both worlds? For towns with duplicate names in Alpha/Beta, could players use /t spawn dreamcrafta and /t spawn dreamcraftb? I don't know, maybe some other people have other ideas on how the two worlds could be brought closer together?

edit: also, BOO on the eco reset. Why? What's the benefit of even considering to do so?

overworld has been infinite since February 2010. If you're talking about meeps border limit who's to say they can't increase it if required?

I will say that I would actually prefer a complete Meep Worlds Reset over trying to combine Alpha and Beta. I imagine there would be a ton of history lost but maybe it would be a step towards reinvigorating Meep to be able to finally be an up-to-date server. Let's be honest, right now it just feels like we're waiting for Fuzzlr to "pull the plug". And I know that as a player, I would always specifically look for and gravitate towards updated servers. I haven't looked recently, but I imagine there are a bunch of top servers right now advertising 1.10!!!! compatibility. Is Meep? No. Meep doesn't even work properly with 1.9. Where are the fast updates and speedy technical support? That's what's needed to get Meep back on the map, IMO.

The website and in-game messages can't even stay up to date. It makes the server look and feel abandoned. I have run simple servers in the past, and I know from experience that it is literally a matter of editing a few lines to change those alerts. And the website... even the voting page just needs a bit of the wording changed but it hasn't been revised since 2013!!! I don't know how much income Meep gets to support simple updates like these, but having outdated information is not putting the server on the road back to success.

Combining both into one would result in a very very cluttered world with no room for new towns.

What else do you suggest? Why isn't it necessary? As I'm typing this there are 98 players on meep. Meep used to peak at 1000 and now it's 100 (if we're lucky) when I come on in the "off times" I'm lucky if there are 20 on. Now tell me meep is just as good as it was a year ago and it's " " to change.

As I see it there is next to no other option on how to give a fix to the current economical state than a complete reset. You can't just say "oh do something else" because there is nothing else to be done.

Our economical state Isn't That Bad We're doing quite well, actually, if you want a "perfect, perfect" economy, make a suggestion about removing /warp shop.

It makes old players quit, brings new players in. But if meep stays this way, it'll just get boring again and people will start leaving again, ever wondered why 1000 players can drop to 20? Because meep is starting to get boring. No new games/challenges are being added, new things aren't being added, old things that are broken aren't being fixed. People that join will eventually get bored again and leave, so that's new players immediately leaving in addition to the old players who quit.

I know adding/fixing stuff is for techs, and we don't have a lot of them, but what I'm saying is a reset won't do anything other than worsen the situation. What meepcraft really needs is something that will stand out, something that will attract people, something that is YouTube worthy , and something that will make people want to stay here and play it. I'm sure one of you people here can come up of something.

This isn't supposed to fix the economy. Neither is a reset, FYI. A reset was suggested as a way to bring players in. Fixing what we have, and introducing new content will do a much better job of brining in players than a reset.

I believe a reset would be very good, however people complain because they're worried that they won't be able to start again.

There is always something else. Fix the glitches in infect, add towny wars, ect ect ect ect. Dont reset towny. It is a stupid idea
