Introduction: Hi there fellow meepers! I know your time on the game is extremely valuable so I won’t take too much of your time with all the introductions. My name is Alex (Dawn if you prefer) While many of you may know me in game, or my constant chatter on ts, there’s more to me then meets the eye. I’m the average 15 year old Missourian male, Extremely into gaming, music, and food. While I do enjoy meepcraft I set standards for myself so that I’m not average, because I know I’m not. And here’s a couple examples that set me apart from the crowd
Music- My life revolves around music, I can’t get enough of it. I play many instruments, Oboe and Flute to name a couple. I started around 12 years old by getting one of the leads in the Sound of Music as Kurt Von Tropp. After learning my first Do Re Mi’s i got pretty into music, learning every song from Les Miserables and more, playing them on my oboe and flute by ear. Starting at 14 i started to try and compose songs by playing piano. I still am composing today
Friendship- I try my absolute best to try and make people smile, because seeing somebody smile is the best thing to see. After moving from Owasso in Oklahoma I tried so desperately to make friends, and i made a lot in the first few days. On meepcraft? My first friends were Forte and _Peridonyx_. They welcomed me into the community with open arms and taught me a lot about what it means to be kind and generous to others, LadyCassandra also taught me respect and gentleness, and as cliche as it might seem, i wouldn’t be the guy I am today without all my friends in game and out of game. And after recently leading Luke 18 at church i realized that we all have our roles to play, and mine is to be an amazing friend.
Why should you be Helper? I believe I’m ready for this position and here’s my reasons why.
Trust- Through my years of experience I’ve learned that there’s one trait people can confide in me with. Trust. Many of my friends, and many people in the community would be able to tell you I’m very trustable. When handling a modreq, or anything that I would be required to do, I can be trusted not to abuse perms, and furthermore carry out the thing required of me to do with fairness.
Leadership- During band, and all the other things I’ve done in school I've learned that I'm a true leader, totally ready to be helper. I’ve led my band too 2 titles at nationals in Indianapolis for middle school band and I’ve always helped my fellow band nerds learn fingerings, music, and even privately tutored. I can do the same in meep. Help all my fellow meepers learn the fingerings of the game and be a leader to the community and meep as a whole
Helpfulness- As I see them I help people out in /g and a lot more in /msg. I believe that my years of experience should be put to better use and be used to help the best server on minecraft. While lots of people may not see it in me, I’m very helpful towards newer players and especially helpful when it comes to people needing help in towny and onwards, just as i have in my real life when it comes to band, school, and singing.
Empathy- Most helpers have this trait and it one I’m absolutely sure I have! Empathy is the ability to understand the feelings of others, and that I’m sure I can. For community service I do a thing called PEP. This is activities for mentally handicapped or disabled people living in a community together. I’ve learned that even looks, and attitudes, mean nothing, as they are people. I always ask myself “Is this how i want to be treated?” And if its no, I don't say anything. I can easily do that in meep by treating everyone with kindness and fairness.
What are your weaknesses? Like any normal human being i have flaws.
First impressions. They scare me so much! “What if I do the wrong thing” “What if I offend them!” Those are some of my worst fears I can ever list, and this interferes with my connectivity to the community. I’m really working on this. Because I know that this is Meep! Everyone will accept me for him I am and I need to shine! I can also now understand (due to cooleysworld and my friends) that there will be people that don't like me, and I’m learning to take that. I know that I could definitely shine as a helper if I improve on my first impressions.
Anger- This has definitely been an issue in the past. I have burst out on several occasions on people and I have really regretted it. I remembered how to be empathetic and have been really sorry for everyone that I’ve hurt in the past. I’ve definitely improved on this a lot, because I haven’t gotten mad at anyone for a long time.
Immaturity- Yes, I can be immature because I’m 15, and this is the age i need to start realizing that being immature is bad. I need to realize that there’s a time and a place for it. I do love to use the ;-; and
Being touchy- On some topics I can be pretty touchy, some of them make me happy, others depressed. There are just times and places for certain topics (ex. Religion, Politics) These simply do not belong in game. I’ve been learning to control them by simply ignoring is, and i know i have friends who will be there for me when i need them, so this could be pretty easy to fix.
