Introduction: Hello, my name is...Zoe (Who would have guessed? :P) I am 13 years old and live in San Fransisco. I am a very happy-go-lucky person and I love, love, LOVE Meep (and sports :D!) I am very athletic and sometimes I’m on more than one sports teams at a time, while juggling school. I am captain of my soccer team and I was of my basketball team, so I know a thing or two about leading. For me, it’s fun to know you are helping people out just by doing your own best. I am very good at working with others, I love to help people, I am passionate about Meep, and I learn really fast, so I think I would make a really good addition to the team. If this app gets denied, I want to get the experience so that when I try again, I will know what to do when writing my next app–that said, becoming Helper would be amazing, and I would know that all these drafts have paid off!
I joined Meepcraft around 1 2/3 ago years now, and my experience on this server has been like no other! Everyone is nice and everything is so accessible to new players. When I first joined, my favorite things to do was play Boomo and TNT run, (and I think I got like 250k off of them xD) I made friends pretty fast and learned commands. After my little brother got an account, I made sure to show him Meepcraft, and EVERYTHING I had learned, like commands, tricks, games, and different warps… We are still working :D. Meepcraft is one of the few servers I have stayed with. Usually I get bored and try a new server, but Meepcraft never gets old and I’m always so happy to log in because I know that I have friends there waiting to do something awesome, like make something in creative, towns, a mini-game, or many more possibilities that Meepcraft offers!
Why you should be Helper? I am on Meepcraft all the time during weekends (when I’m not playing soccer) and when I finish homework on weekdays. I am a total people person, and I get kinda lonely without people to talk to, or hang out with. I love hanging out on forums, and I am usually up to date with events in the community.
I am very active on Meep itself, on forums, and relatively active on teamspeak. I make friends easily and I like to communicate with people.
I enjoy helping, and do it whenever I can, whether if its a big problem, or a small problem. Helping people on Meep is another step for me, and I think I’m a great fit. I am constantly online, trying to help people whenever they need it. Recently, I have been logging off temporarily to find how to make/do things, and I am willing to go out of my way to help people. I am no longer staff on a server anymore, but when I was a staff member (hiding IP of server), I was constantly helping people out, like I plan to do on Meep, whether or not this app gets accepted :) I feel like I could be trusted with the responsibilities with the commands /kick, /ban and the other exclusive commands Helpers get because I am honest and I don’t get aggravated easily. I enjoy having fun and talking to people, and am always ready to jump at any problems that emerge when I’m online. I know how to understand people and talk to them about their issue in a respectful and kind way.
I have had many leadership roles before this (captain of soccer, and basketball teams, as well as CITs for many different Summr camps, and staff on a server-that-shall-not-be-named) so I think all of these example count as experience. I have been a lot more active when people need help recently. Sometimes people just /shout “help” and I can /pm them help or even /tpa, depending on the issue. I love helping people. I wouldn’t apply if I didn’t want to be known for helping people. I’m really happy when somebody asks me to help them, and I feel very proud that I can provide them with a satisfying result. I have been helping people especially in Towns, telling them how to make someone assistant, or how to name their town.
I help people all the time in real life, and have numerous baby-sitting, pet-sitting jobs–I think this helps me understand different beings better. I have a fish named Puppy, who has lived past the average life-span for a beta fish (clap-clap-clap) I’d like to think it’s because I pay close attention to him, and make sure he’s always safe. I had an elderly neighbor who owned an iPad, and iPhone–but no clue how to use them! I went over to her house for 3 days after school to give her 1 on 1 lessons on how to use them, including customizing her wallpaper, and use Siri. My little brother can sometimes be a pain, but I owe my patience to him. If he didn’t exist, I wouldn’t be very patient at all.
I know a ton of commands on Meep, probably because I have been on for a while. This would come in handy because if somebody needs a command for, let’s say… Something simple–using global chat, for instance, I can help them by telling them what the command is, and any precautions that go along with it (-100 meebles if too many shouts) so that they know exactly what they are doing.
Like I said in my intro, I am very good at working with others, I love to help people, I am passionate about Meep, and I learn really fast, so I think I would make a really good addition to the team.
What are your weaknesses? I feel that am not very well-known on Meep. I've been on for a while, but never really made it to “well-known” that said, people will say “Hi Zoe” if I say “Hi Meep!” and whatnot, and I contribute to /shout conversations–but, I’m sure many people below will comment that they don’t know me… I can work on this by using global chat even more :)
I don't say no enough. It might not seem that bad, but it is for me. I’ve given away maybe 100k in Meebles just because people asked for it. I have given tools and armor to people because they asked for them., and I donate a lot to different pwarps. The other day, I sold my head for 2k and I got a message asking if somebody else could have it for 2k, but I did’t have any more heads on me so I got beheaded for 2k, and sold it to that person. Another case this would be a weakness is if somebody really honestly needed to be banned/kicked, I would stop and talk to them, instead of kicking them because they broke rules. I am working on this by going through a mental list and checking to see "what is the right choice to make?” not “what do I personally think this person needs?”
I am not too techie–I mean, I can’t code or debug bugs with a snap of my fingers, but I will try my best to fix any problems I encounter. I was very proud that I was able to help a new player get out of a glitch they had encountered in the dungeon. They thanked me and I felt happy knowing that I had helped them. My computer may also be a problem. I eggplant out a lot and I have many glitches in-game, so I might try to avoid any /modreq’s that include major glitching :|
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: For Skype: Is it possible for me not to show my face? It's just a privacy thing
I am thinking of making /pwarp playertoplayer where you just go there instead of filing a /modreq, so that players can help players on simple things (note: this would not include ban/kick requests) and the mods don’t have simple /modreqs like “how do I add a friend?”
I am a bit self-conscious of my voice because I sound like I am 3 over the phone.
If you are looking at maturity, and not age, I feel I am mature enough for the position, but I might be too young.
I really want jump at this opportunity and make the most of it, thanks so much for reading!
