Hello all! I do apologize for the wait. I've been very busy, and I start pretty much full time at a diner near my home this week. Nevertheless, I will try my very best to finish the series soon. I have a lot to say and a few links for y'all to watch, so without further ado, let's get started!

The Graphics Processing Unit/GPU (sometimes called a video card) is probably the most important piece of equipment for gamers today. The better the graphics card, the higher settings you will be able to run a game. However, vanilla Mineceraft without resource packs or shaders runs well over 60 fps without a graphics card on the i5 6400, which I chose in the CPU thread. So why do you even need a graphics card?

If you don't mind running Minecraft without the above additions, it isn't really necessary. However, if you want Minecraft to look way more beautiful, I highly suggest it. Also, graphics cards are very useful in other games such as Rainbow Six Siege, Arkham Knight, and Doom 4. If you play other games besides Minecraft, a GPU is basically a necessity. For this build, I went with a GTX 960 4GB from EVGA (link below).

I was not able to find any videos using a 4GB version in 1080p, but you may be able to. Rest assured, this is all that is really necessary unless you plan on running 512x textures with ridiculous shaders. I do have an interesting video on the performance differences between 2GB and 4GB 960s. The important stuff starts at 7 minutes.

Finally, the 4GB is only slightly more expensive than the 2GB and totally worth the few extra bucks. Also, I am very disappointed in the 10XX series of GPUs. If you can wait about 5-10 months for the 1050 or 1060 though, you might as well pick one of those up.
