The current tutorial has most of the necessary information to play the server, but it is sort of boring as it is mostly just a big room with tons of signs in it, and then a few questions. Reading all those signs can take a while, and it's a lot of information to take in all at once for new players. No one wants to spend ten to fifteen minutes reading signs. Many people skip the tutorial, but then they do not know how to do many of the things that are needed to play on the server. many new players quit because they do not know how to play, and this decreases the people playing, and therefore the amount of donations. It would help to make the tutorial mandatory, but then players would get bored and quit before finishing the tutorial. To solve this problem, I propose a radically new idea for a new type of tutorial. We need a tutorial that has all the information that you need to know to succeed on the server, and it needs to be displayed in a way that is interesting and will hold a players attention.
My idea for this new tutorial:
The first idea is to have a tutorial where you walk along a path, reading the information along the way. Along the path, there would be different things related to what information would be there. For example, when reading about towny commands, the path would lead through an example of a typical town, while reading the rules about wild, the path would go through an example of the wild with mobs wandering around an such. Also, the information would be displayed on holograms on the path instead of on signs. Holograms are easier to read and can be more interesting and colorful. Once players reach the end of the path, they would enter a building in which would be questions about the tutorial. If they get the questions right, they would be teleported to spawn, if they get the questions wrong, they would be teleported to the beginning of the tutorial. The tutorial should be made as short and concise as possible, ideally so it won't take more than five minutes to complete. The tutorial would be mandatory, but players will be more likely to complete it as it will be interesting and would not take long to finish. This tutorial will bring up the player count, because it will be mandatory so players will know what to do, and it will be concise and interesting, so new players won't leave before finishing the tutorial.
    Thanks for reading!
