Reduce payment from placing ladders in the builder job

I don't understand why we simply sit here and twiddle our thumbs as these ladder placing builder job farmers make 500k+ per day while watching netflix/youtube and having their afk ladder placing farms running in the background. As far as I'm aware, the builder job isn't designed for players to idle in a location while holding their right click button (or using autoclickers to increase rate) to place ladders. Pistons then break the ladders on a clock, allowing the farmer to place more ladders down in the same location. I applaud whoever came up with the idea, but it's absurd that we do nothing about it. The payment you get for doing such an inactive job happens to be off the charts.

We already have an idle location job, it's the fisherman job. Contrary to the ladder farming, you can't just hold down right click in order to earn money doing it. Also, it pays significantly (at least 5x) less for doing a much more active job.

If not removing ladders completely from the builder job, at least reduce the payment for ladders, as the current pay is ridiculous. If grinding meebles actively can't keep pace with it, why should we play the game actively? Are we going to wait until three quarters of the server is standing still afk farming the builder job?

 

The rules state that Macros are illegal (which I imagine encompasses autoclickers) therefore the act of leaving a farm like this via macro should be punished in accordance with the rules governing the use of macros, rather than auto farming rules (which as far as I know only restrict the use of tools that bypass the afk detection system).

I believe that the pay should be lowered, however I don't see the problem here being issues with the builder job but rather users exploiting server functionality with third party software.

 

Perhaps, but anything that negates the afk detection systems is a violation of the rules.
