    Bug: Nearby players pick up items

    IGN: jadenPete

    Date of Bug: This week

    Summary of Bug: Sometimes when a player destroys a block, nearby players pick up the items instead of them.

    Evidence of Bug:

    Additional information: I don't have any evidence, though I know some other players have experienced this.

    How far away are these players when they pick up the items? If they are rather close, this might be a mechanic of Minecraft rather than a mechanic of Spigot or Meepcraft. If this is the case, this is an "unintended feature" rather than a bug... in other words, the correcting of this bug would require an additional plugin that kept track of all entities that spawned as a result of a block-breaking event.

    Now, if the player is far away (out of pick-up range)... this could be an issue.

    The players are not in range of picking up the items, but are either in the same chunk or a couple chunks away.

    Odd question, but do you happen to know if these players are also mining when that happens?

    If you mean mining blocks in general, then yes. But not always just mining, one time it happened when another player was farming.

    If this issue is still occurring for you, it could be tied to Mcmmo parties with the item sharing option enabled.
