Should MeepShop be added back? Give us your opinion!

 

The shop should serve as a place to get basic items when theyre not readily available on the player shop. The shop should also offer exclusive items as an incentive for players to spend money instead of sitting on large sums of cash, keeping the economy fluctuating. There is no real use to having a constant sell option in the shop, and currently, such an option would hurt the current vision for the economy. In the past, the sell option was to avoid having items drop past a certain value, however, with the removal of /fix and mending this no longer seems to be a constant problem. If in the future, a certain item drops to the point where the price is terrible AND no players will buy the item for their own use, then it should be at the discretion of server administrators like klutch and courtneyyy to offer a temporary buyback program at the meepshop, or to simply buy out the player inventory in shop up to a certain price threshold. However, such action should be taken with caution as it could dump too much wealth onto a small percentage of players, or it could suddenly generate value for an inherently worthless item, such as cobble, for lack of a better example

 

For me MeepShop was the only reason to pay for "ranks" in the past.

 

My opinion of Meepshop follows suit with Builderjunkie, Meepshop should only carry exclusive items normally unattainable through the Wild, or Towns... i.e. Eggs, Bedrock, and such.

Having Meepshop that carries items that can be normally obtained through Wild or Towns, will undermine Vshop and player created shops in Towns. It would hurt the Meepcraft Economy, and possible remove players from going out in to wild and gathering resources to sell in Vshop or Pwarp shops.

If we add all items, people will make shops that are cheaper and meepshop wont be used.

 

I'd like to see it eventually, but it might not be worth the staff's time right now.

It is very time consuming to come up with fitting prices, and even after, they must be constantly monitored. On top of that they must build and program each of the rooms, and they must decide what rank gets what.

So yes, I assume it will be back eventually, and I hope so, but boy is that going to be a beast for them to work on.

 

I want staff to add back

-Bane of Arthropods V bush
-Grappling Hook
-Glass Pickaxe

And add additionally

-Smite V bush
-Knockback IV stick
-Eff VI Pickaxe (should be very expensive)

For some excitement and unique features. It isn't very hard to add as even I know how to summon them lol

Also please remove:
Slimeballs (could be sold by players)
Totem of Undying (makes pvp unfair)

 

Denied, we don't have the resources, and the shop is fine as is.
