Why were you banned? Glitch Exploiting

Why we should consider your appeal: (I believe you are talking about this glitch: http://meepcraft.com/threads/pretty-sure-i-dont-have-4-507-727-acacia-wood.52520/)

I had no intention to "exploit" the glitch, and I don't think I did. What essentially happened was I did sell some of the wood to the shop, but I had no knowledge that I was exploiting the glitch. Once I found out, I immediately reported it on the forums.

Also, I'd like to see the proof as well.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Check out my bug report I made a while ago. Also, I even said myself that I would offer to pay the amount of money that I had received "illegally". I didn't feel like taking more aggressive actions (eg: telling a staff member directly) because I was told that it was being looked into.

I believe this was a misunderstanding. The items that were abused were removed (on both occasions) and no real abusing (eg: selling) was done after I reported the bug. I'm more than willing to pay back the 30k or so that I got from when I accidentally abused it.
I'm not too sure if you can tell that I didn't receive more money after reporting.
The pm conversations with other players was to simply share and see if they has any ideas on fixing it somehow.
I also like to add that I'm truly sorry for this misunderstanding. Next time I'll try to report it directly to a staff member, to prevent this from happening again.

 

I'm not really sure what made you to think that other players had solutions to an exploitation bug. It is never a good idea to tell other players about a bug especially a bug of this severity. Let me speak to klutch and get back to you.

 

So basically we looked over everything, a few times. When we pulled up all your logs we found out that you were tellin your friends about this. You repeated the bug many times as well as made it the lowest price to completely take over the market. At that point, its abuse.

 

Yes, it was my fault for telling other players, and I do apologize for that.

I'm still not quite too sure how this is abuse. First of all, even in the screenshots that shains provided, I remember the price was still the same, 14.99. There was nothing I could do to control the price, or to remove it. From what I recall, because of the bug, I coudnt sell items onto the shop, which meant that I couldnt control the price of the wood, let alone lower the price to "take over" the market.

I wasn't too sure what I was doing (which was my fault), and because of that, I made it even more worse. It seems that this ban isn't fair because I couldn't really do anything much in the end, since I had already filed a bug report. Like I mentioned before, i didnt have any intention to exploit it, and I had no idea that I was doing so.

 

I'd also just like to simply point out that a similiar report was posted after mine, but there was more of a response and support.

Yes, I know that his case is not identical to mine, but very similar.

But regardless, I find it interesting how these cases were both handled differently. Could you please explain a little as to what else I did to get this ban? I'm just very curious...

I don't want for this to seem like me saying "bluapol should also be banned" but I just want to know more clearly what else I did wrong to receive this ban.

Like I said. Bluapol noticed, reported, and stopped using vshop.

You told your friends and continued to do it while bragging to friends about how much you were making.

 

Yes, I did tell a few people, which I do admit was wrong, and something I should NOT have done. I know now that it was very stupid to do so.
On the other hand, I'd also want to say that I'm very sure that I never directly bragged about the fact that I was making a ton of money off of it. (I may be wrong, but there shouldnt be anything in the logs where I say that)

There's also the fact that I couldn't stop the money from coming in, because the items couldn't be canceled.

Please make note, Telling anyone or continuing to make a situation worse IS abuse.

Next time anything like this happens, Report it and avoid it like the plague.
