Introduction: Hi I'm mrnukeluke I love playing meepcraft I am currently 12 living in the us I love school make all A's in 6th grade except 1 C in math in my spare time I build Legos play board games and play with my dogs Oakly and Gracie in meepcraft I own 1 town oakhollow I also build a lot in single player my greatest build is castle of mrnukeluke in planet minecraft

Why should you be Architect? I should be architect because I could build great spawns for the server help out with builds and I will also be very active with meepcraft if I got staff and I am also a great Quartz/iron builder I build a lot of spawns I built one in my old one Texas that was huge and back to why I should be architect because I am very inspired by deerlandingXd thank you so much deer for inspiring me to build often after I looked at ur builds I wanted to build too

What builds have you completed on the server and where might they be located? Creative and a mall in outpost 1 and 28 in Detroit beta

Hey @NukeLuke2 . Im glad you're interested in the arch position but our current architects have a very high standerd that you don't seem to meet quite yet. Keep working on your builds by adding more detail maybe even looking up tricks and tips on youtube and then eventually finding your own style.

 

Your builds arn't anything that stand out to me, Work on your builds and try to get them to architect standards. If you don't know what their standards are go to the accepted threads and look at their builds.

I've tried talking to you privately, but the fact that you won't allow anyone to make a convo with you or let people post on your profile tells me that you can't really handle criticism.
You're also power-hungry. Even though you took time to think through on this application, I still have my vote from your helper application.
When your helper application was denied, you went straight to architect and barely had any build pictures. The picture you currently have up isn't really much of a server build. It's more of a town build.
PS: Can you add some punctuation next time? You're typing in one big sentence with no stop.

I suggest using more block variation. Add different blocks and colors in your builds. Also try to make it less boxy and add Windows. Also you would need more than 1 build. Only way to get better is to practice and time. I'm sure you can become a great builder, but atm you are where near arch level. If you ever need help or criticism /msg Casualcaviar in game and I'll be sure to help.

 

I found the application sub par. Like M̶a̶r̶k̶i̶p̶l̶i̶e̶r̶ @MasterOfToast said already, please use some punctuation. I know I'm no expert, but this application looks like it was slapped together in less than 30 minutes.

I'm no architect, but I can say a few things about your build.
Your builds:

@Pmx728 has already said this, use more block variety. I only see 2 types of blocks in that screenshot, which are sandstone + glass. This, and I'll be blunt with you, is really an eyesore. There are many blocks used in the spawns / mini-games. You would never see just sandstone + glass.

The castle:
The castle, You can make the castle look a bit more... Less flat? Again with the block variety. It'd be great to see the rest, but I can only see the top part so I'm assuming based on the screenshot. I now can see 3 types of blocks used: Stone, Brick, and Diamond. Make it seem more of a castle: with walls, routes to get to other places, a garden, a gate. What does the interior look like?

You need to practice building more before applying. It's a skill, like drawing, where you just need to practice to get better.

Also, you probably can ask some architects like Marshall, Ozblock, or DeerlandingXD to critique your build and give you advice.

Luke, your grammar. Thank you for fixing your spelling as I ranted about a few fourms ago. If you want to be taken seriously, spend time on your application, maybe have mom or dad look over it.

Next we talk about Archietecture

Hopefully, you made that photo. I Bielefeld you did as it looks like your style. That's good, honesty. This means you have some qualities that make up a staff member.

Now we really talk about Archietecture.

That build lacks, well, movement. My eyes just roll over it. Maybe if there were more pillars, a variation in blocks used, like different types of sandstone, that would greatly improve the design. Now, well. Pfft. You didn't show many shots. That isn't good. So we know you spent 5 minutes building a sandstone temple? Not good. Maybe, if you ever try to apply again, build more things, and larger things. But sometimes, well detailed small things are good too. Maybe, a twisting sky scraper, or a retro modern house, anything! But maybe, large structures and landscapes may be very defining. A mountain with a castle?or maybe a secret lair? Remember, the arches here build everything from the spawn to the Parkour hubs, have a wide variety.

Maybe if you spot me in game I can give you some free lessons from what I've learned from friends and family.

I'm curious, what other server did you work for? Do you have photos?
These builds aren't really up to our levels.
My advice?
Watch more videos! Try exactly copying some fancy builds to learn the techniques before adding them to your own creations. Walk around the server, creative and /t spawn freyview to see some of the best buildings on the server.
I'd like to see more from you. 2 simple, flat, uninteresting castles most likely do not show the range of your work. Staff wants to see you are versatile and able to not only buld buildings but design spawns, interiors, landscape, and more!
It took me years to be able to build decently and I am still not up to the level of our architects here at meep but I practice every day to get better.

Nuke, I see a lot of potential. Your build example was too simple, plain, and bland. But, like I said, there is a lot of potential. I can see that you are on the right track with the builds. All I would suggest for your example build is adding more detail, using more materials and colours to create some sort of contrast, and to give it some depth by adding stairs and other items. Please also show us some of the Quartz builds that you talked about! Adding more examples of builds would also be even better!

Additionally, your application could have been better, especially for someone like you who gets decent marks in school. Use periods, instead of making everything one whole sentence, and avoid abbreviations such as "ur". Give us examples that make you different or prove that you are capable for the role.

Please keep on trying. You are on the right track, but you just need some more work. Good luck!

 

-1. You hired me to build you a house, and thought it was the best thing ever. I'm a fairly good builder, but nowhere near the level of the architects we already have. In addition, the build in the picture is clearly based off the house I did for you, but with no depth, block change, shape, etc. I'd be happy to show you my building tricks sometime.

 

The one thing that bothers me in this is that's you're so, well. Plain! Dude I like color, light. I don't like solids. Ew. Please continue to work on block differentiation.

But wait

When I was comayor of Azure you had @kcschmidt build you a mansion. Are you too lazy to do it yourself? Is this the mansion he built? It sure looks like it.. Anywho it annoys me that you can't make your own builds out of thin air like @Noblefish_ or @DeerlandingXD set yourself apart...

Luke you sound like a nice guy and seem to be above the average minecraft player skill wise. However our archs are in the top top part of Minecraft builders and you have a very high standard to try and meet. Great job for applying but I don't think your quite there I hope to see you apply again sometime soon though

First of all i'd like to say good on you for applying for this position.
However, there are a few things I believe are holding you back from being 100% qualified!!
- Firstly, I have never seen you before, try to be more active (I know this doesn't relate to being a arch but it is still extremely important to know the community, if the community knows you they will support you!!)
- Secondly, my-self not being a good builder I think you build is good but when you look at the spawn areas do you think 'oh well that's nice'? no I personally think 'woah how cool'! try working on you builds, go in a creative world and build build build keep build keep experimenting, who knows you might design something amazing!
- Finally, when giving your example build add more than one, show different types!

Hai Nuke! No body is against you here, in fact we want to help you achieve your dream of being architect someday!
We have no intention to hurt you, I would like to point out that you can be stubborn sometimes and you don't always
listen to what people say. But, I hope you will listen this time and try out somethings to help you with your experience!.

Make sure you take notes from a few people, block variation, add more depth and contrast. Look up interior designing!
What I do is look up real life buildings, study their structure. I'm not saying that having a unique house is a bad thing.
Look up exterior, real life or minecraft. There are plenty of tutorials to experiment with! Research videos how to build fancy houses (theres a lot!) or look at pictures. Find different styles. experiment and always practice!

Remember there is no rush to be architect, no rush to be the best you can be. It all takes time.

Maturity, To me personally, when I talk to you, you don't seem mature, you joke around way to much and don't really listen, which for arch is important.
-trust, I don't trust you, you can be a cool kid but with arch comes great responsibility, I'm learning this from another server. As arch you receive so many new commands and people on meep need to know they can trust you with those commands. You don't seem to be very responsible to me...sorry bro.

Its hard for me to +1 people who hire others to build something for them, and then either advertise their own building skills, or apply for arch, do your own work, if you are to lazy to make yourself a build whose to say you won't just quit while building for the server?

You have a lot to work on, look up different styles on google and pick the style you like the best, learn how to build it, start basic and go harder and harder. after a while, once you feel like you have really gotten down the style and have built probably about 4 builds in that style, pick another style and learn it. it will take a long time but as arch you need to be able to build different styles. Right not on the arch team, all the architects can build extremely well to all the styles, so in order to keep up with them you need more skills. keep it up!

Fyi, don't expect to learn the styles quickly, I've been building for about 8 months or so(thats really not that much), and I still have probably about 3 or 4 styles to learn...I have only covered about 4, maybe 5.

Yet again, most people are very suspicious in why you said that you learned from your mistakes, then you say that you were hacked. So, you did indeed steal and you thought about why you did it, then you say that you were hacked? That sounds pretty suspicious, doesn't it?

You only post 1 picture, and the build itself isn't very good. They only way to get better at building is to keep doing it.

Your Application is weak and your building skills weaker. My suggestion is to get a lot better at building, wait a year or two to apply again, learn how to write essays, learn how to write resumes and most importantly learn how to build.

Applying for an Architect position on this server is very serious. I don't see you as a mature player, a good builder, and a good member to the staff team.
