Summary of Bug: Walked into a nether portal in the wild. My client suddenly disconnected with this error: "Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.io.IOException: Packet 0/32 (gr) was larger than I expected, found 2048 bytes extra whilst reading packet 32" Now, whenever I try to connect it gives me this error and will not let me in. I can play on other servers and single player no problem.

Additional information: From what I've read online the problem can be resolved by an Admin changing my spawn point.

This is.. I think? The packet bug when there are too many entities in the area and your client cant load them.
If youre given a 1-2 second window of being online befire disconnecting again, a mod + can force tp you away.
Best way to go about this is via teamspeak, but forums is good as well. You and the mod with both have to spam login and /tp at the same time.

 

Unfortunately, it does not give me any window of being online. At least, not where everything is loaded. I get "loading terrain", the cobblestone screen and then promptly disconnected. I was able to log in while Towny was down last night, and get to spawn. However, now that the server is back up in full I'm back to the original problem.

 

You are probably using 1.9, so you need to get on 1.10 even though it says the server is 1.9 when you log on with 1.11

Natsu I want to thank you! I just had this issue and I clicked a teleportation sign in the Gamma town called Toldeo. The sign was a teleportation to a blaze grinder located in the neather and thats when I got this same issue and could not login again. I was using client 1.9.4 but after switching to 1.10 I could login again!
