Introduction: Hey. My name's Johan, and I'm a 15 year old male from South Africa.

Jumping right into it. My favorite sport is, and will always be, chess. It's an amazing game of strategy and logic, and I can sit for hours in front of a chess board and not get bored. On the flip side, I dislike all outdoor sport (never really liked running around randomly). My favorite hobby would be playing the piano, which I have now been doing for 9 years, and I'm eagerly learning the violin currently.

I don't really like talking because, in my opinion, it's much more productive to listen. You can learn much more if you listen to others, than just yapping about things that aren't really important. I quote the Dalai Lama: "When you talk, you only repeat what you know, but if you listen, you may learn something new."

My personal motto is "Work smart, not hard", as I can be quite lazy, yet I am still a star student at school.

Why should you be Helper? I have, through my school career, been involved in various leadership roles, such as Permanent class leader (3 years running), part of the primary school student council, and leader of my chess team.

For me, it's always been satisfying to help people out, and leave the person happy with what was done. The challenge of leadership is an interesting one, and it always fascinates me, because it requires so many different things to be successful: Hard work, Common sense, Intellect, and sometimes just blind luck. You never know what's going to come next, and I love that.

I've been playing meepcraft for quite a long time now, and I've always been interested in being a staff member. Helping people with their problems, making sure everything's running relatively smoothly, and making sure meepcraft doesn't stop being the server we all know and love. Unfortunately, sometimes there isn't any staff on while I'm playing, and I feel that I could successfully fill that spot.

What are your weaknesses? 1. Tact. Or rather, my lack of it. I tend to be very blunt about everything, and I understand that not everyone likes that.
Unfortunately, I don't think I will ever be able to improve this.

2. Patience. Obvious weakness. I can easily get irritated if something takes longer than I though. Currently working on this,
with some success, but I still have far too go.

3. Perfectionist. This is a smaller problem, as it can be seen as a good and a bad thing. Again, I can't imagine how I can work
on improving this.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I fully admit that I did depend strongly upon my previous application for guidance while writing this application. I do not think that it affects my content, as most (If not all) of my previous app is still quite relevant to my personality and stance about matters.

I'm not very active on TS, and I don't enjoy the thought of using skype, but I will use it if necessary.

I thought this was a fairly good application.
I don't see you in game a lot, but then again, I'm never really in game anymore.
You seem really nice, and very willing to help out around Meepcraft.

You're pretty active as I've seen you and your time zone would likely do a huge help to the around the clock staff team.

When you say you can't think of a way to improve it sounds to me like you are giving up. Be resilient.
Tact can always be improved by holding your tongue and thinking about how the other player will feel receiving your comment. You are able to say anything to anyone without being rude or offensive if you phrase it right! being a perfectionist is a common trait among staff members, if you are accepted you can ask them for tips!
What happens when you loose your patience? The severity of the problem will depend on what you do.
I noticed you didn't put in any references which I think is fine if you are extremely well known and although I know you I don't think you are as well known as some of the other recent applications. I always think you should have at least one or two staff members on skype before you apply. I think this for various reasons such as working out issues with a player causing you trouble and it also shows that this person trusts you. It doesn't take much to then message them (although it's just as easy to do this in game) and ask if they will be a reference for you.
I think you have all the potential required but you aren't quite there yet. I think that if this is denied then you'll be able to work it all out in the 2 week wait period.

 

Um idk if it's time zones but I've never ever seen you online. Honestly I'm on at least 10 hours a day on weekends and I've never seen you. This being said I doubt that you help or chat often in which people know you. I feel you need to work on being active in global and active in helping people. You have no refs which is highly frowned upon. Your app what fairly good however! Also do /seen yourself. You get the date you joined if you joined after feb. All in all, im a -1. Keep your head held high and keep at it!

 

Last time you were accepted for interview, you went inactive and you were denied. You haven't stood out in the slightest, and I don't see you being an effective helper.

I've seen you ingame recently and you are a productive and helpful member of the community, however, I do not believe you are staff ready at the moment. Also, haven't you been inactive up until recently? I hadn't seen you in many months and I saw you for the first time yesterday. I know timezones are particularly difficult because you are on at times when the player count is low. That could very easily come in handy though!

Here's the thing; anybody can be helpful in global. It's whether you're tpa-ing to them and checking in on them that really is what pushes you to the top. Just a trick I learned... It sure as heck comes in handy so you're welcome
