Introduction: Hi I am _Hollyleaf_ but most call me Holly. Here is a bit about myself. I have loved playing Minecraft for almost three years now. I have spent quite a bit of my life moving around the United States but in the last 5 years, I have been doing a lot of traveling back and forth between southern California and Washington state. As you can imagine with that I don't often see friends and distant family members but I have found being able to connect with friends online can help any new place feel more like home.

Why should you be Architect? I take an interest in hobbies involving creativity, ones that let me construct and personalize my own world, I downloaded Minecraft for just that reason. A few days later I found Meepcraft and I have been playing it ever since. I can't get enough when I'm designing something, there's always room for more little details. I'll wander around my plots for hours adding things before I decide its officially done. I would not call myself an artist but I do enjoy doing various forms of crafts and drawing. I have been told I have talent when it comes to building by friends and strangers, many even suggested that I apply to be an architect. Regardless of these remarks I know there is much more I can learn. The tools I would acquire as an architect would help me gain more skills and experience. Desire to improve is a great asset to any job, I believe I possess this. I would also like to contribute to the server I have been playing on for quite some time. The community feel Meepcraft has is what makes it different from other servers to me and I want to become more a part of it. I appreciate most styles of building in Minecraft but personally I favour medieval fantasy architecture, it is where I feel my creativity is at its best.

What builds have you completed on the server and where might they be located? All of my builds can be found on my creative plots aside from a select few that are in singleplayer

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: My availability is flexible because my schooling is an independent home study program.

How much experience do you have using Voxel and Worldedit? I have not had the opportunity to use either but I am confident I can pick it up quickly.

From my personal opinion you're builds are ''ok.'' If you want my professional opinion then I'd gladly give you it. I'd personally rather not as you would know why.

Though my opinion doesn't effect this application in anyway I do have one.
First off, you're building style. What is it? Medieval/Fantasy/SteamPunk ? Or a mixture of all? I'm only seeing one theme present within the album. Architects need to know a diversity of styles. Perhaps build something Modern/Traditional/Futuristic/. . . etc.

Whilst reading the little bit of information on you I was surprised by how much I related. Always adding more detail, wanting to add something else, maybe change this, or that. Regardless your building skill is higher than most on the server. You're a quick learner, could easily be taught on how to build differently, new things to learn. You're not going to get better if you don't try. (<- omg no way?!)

I'd like to also suggest downloading World Edit for yourself. And play with it in a single player creative world, although you could be trained on how to use it effectively within the server, I'd suggest getting a head start. Learn things, how to terraform, how to make custom trees, pathways, blocks, sky islands. How to set up no mob spawning zones, no pvp zones. How to set a specific grid area into a certain biome. You're going to learn all of these things regardless.

P.S. When ever Fuzzlr and or Sjoeppapentrap, Nasapc123, Cooleysworld, DianaB72 or any other Admin I had the pleasure of serving when I was an Architect needed something that I didn't know. I just googled it. Basically what the Tech department would do for a company.

 

your builds are slightly above average
otherwise you seem to have a great personality but need to get world edit down and develop more of a personal style I personally enjoy how oldchopper and simplearchitect build. I am really split on this application.

Since posting my comment, I've installed world edit myself. (only took 2 minutes) And have been messing around in a single player world.

It's basically the same Tower and Wall Design copied and pasted over and over and over and over again. Each house wasn't, They're all unique in their own way. :>

I am glad to see a mature, lovable individual applying for this position. I am not worried about your maturity.
I can see WorldEdit and VoxelSniper being a problem as far as builds go, but this is only because you have not had the opportunity to use it. I am somewhat glad that you have not used these plugins because they can become overused very quickly, and the lack of plugin use has proven to me that you have patience in your builds.
