Why we should consider your appeal:

Couple reasons.

1. I have had this account for a year and throughout this time, I have been banned before. fuzzlr, personally unbanned me every time. (But he isn't here.)

2. Thought we didn't ban for account names?

3. The whole staff team was in agreement not to ban me, yet you do, onis.

4. I am changing the name in 1.8 and am just using it as this in the meantime. Literally the whole server knows of it's existence so what is the point of banning it at this point?

 

Sorry to post here but why was this account banned, I've heard a direct verdict that we will not be banning for account names. I'm sorry if I am miss informed and there are other reasons for this ban but if it is on the basis of the name, and staff has said several times that names don't violate the rules, than I find the staff inconsistency not only confusing but also irritating, also in regards to any server hate/disrespect to fuzzlr I am rather confidant that fuzzlr knows this is all in good fun and has unbanned the account before. Anyway, again I'm sorry for posting here, but it agitates me when the rules are unclear. Whatever the intentions are this clearly goes against a past verdict from staff. Again, correct me if there are insinuating circumstances.
Our great staff generally does their best at keeping the rules clear but on this issue I would like to know how this is resolved not for personal reasons but because of my hope that justice will be dispensed in a consistent fashion.

 

The reason isn't so much the name, its the constant saying of the name in /shout by other players which became the issue. The question may come "Why not ban those players?" but, why don't we just ban the issue? I understand your frustration on this matter, and I do believe your intentions of changing the name in the 1.8 update is sincere. But, this is just a decision to be left up to the admins.

 

More or less I just want the account unbanned so I can use it in 1.8.

I would agree to not log in on the account (on meep) until the name is changed.

 

I think that is a proposition that could be easily arranged, let me talk to the other upper staff on the issue. I don't believe there should be an issue as long as you don't log in with the account until you change the name.

 

What about an agreement that we unban the account at the 1.8 update? Would that seem fair to you, seeing that you just want to use the account after you change the name?

 

Historically with long term ban processes they get forgotten about and then staff hesitate to take action on them. Which is what I'm worried about.

I believe it would be much more efficient now to just take my word for it and when 1.8 comes I will change the name but for now why not just unbanned me and get all this behind us.


If we must, I will wait. But it seems like extra work I and you probably don't need in our lives.

The reason onis banned the account was because of the players saying the name in chat (or this was the impression I got). I think that if some helpers can kick these players then they wouldn't do it. If they use an excuse like "it's a name," ask them if they think the staff is stupid or tell them it doesn't matter in this case. It's a rule loophole but you ban for intentions not actions in most cases. If they know that they will not get away with it it's likely they will stop.

 

And to branch off, most of the people saying my name have been warned before about it.
