Introduction: Hi guys, my name is Blake Cormack, but in-game you might know me by BeatriceSama, Scarlion, _ImaCutYou or any of the other names I’ve used in the past. I’m currently 15 years old and live in Huntington Beach. I’m also an avid fan of gaming, some of the various games I play being Overwatch, CS:GO, osu! and, of course, Minecraft.

Otherwise, I’ll spend my free time with my friends, watching anime, and drawing. I have a very unique music taste, which ranges from vocaloid and K-pop to Japanese power metal, but I’m happy that it’s that way since it represents a lot of my personality.

If I had to describe my history here, I’d probably say that it’s been troublesome, but now is the time to turn that around . Although I’ve been keeping up with Meep since late 2012, I’ve had a numerous amount of bans for varying reasons. I won’t get into it too much for the sake of brevity, but I want the community to know that I realize what I’ve done in the past is completely inexcusable, but it’s something that I can only put behind me by doing something positive for the server.

Why should you be Architect? Experience / I’ve been playing Minecraft for years now, and probably the most attractive aspect of playing it is the fact that you can be so creative and really express yourself inside of it. It doesn’t seem to matter what you want to create, Minecraft just has the blocks, so if you can imagine it, you can probably build it. I have five years of experience as a builder in Minecraft, and three years of serious building, like as a member and manager of a build team. On other servers, I have extensive experience managing and leading build teams, plus previously holding the builder rank on a plethora of servers. All of this prepares me well with the building skills to become Meepcraft’s next architect.

Specialization / Many of my builds can be classified as medieval or fantasy. I would say that this is especially important for a server like Meepcraft because most builds on the server currently go along with that style, so I could contribute aesthetically pleasing builds that don’t look out of place at all. Overall, I’d say my three largest strengths are creating text, medieval, and fantasy, so this not only makes me useful when building for towns, but when creating something that is supposed to represent the server in-game. Another large aspect of my build style that I’ve just recently started sharing with others is statue building, but that’s far less universal than the other strengths.

Dedication / Although my bans have taken some time away from me playing on Meep, I still feel like I’ve always been a member of the community and always care about what’s going on here. If I didn’t, there’s just no way I’d have stuck around for as long as I have, but I’m proud of that, because it represents my involvement with the community.

What builds have you completed on the server and where might they be located? The only build I have on meep post ban is the work in progress of Roswaal. Started it a few days ago, it's also shown in the last imgur link.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: I’d like to talk about my ban history for a moment here, because it’s just far too large to ignore. I’d like the community to know that the reason I’m applying for Architect isn’t for me, or for anyone else but the community. I can’t really justify any of my past behavior here, honestly. There are few players who can measure up to how toxic I used to be. But I’m focusing on creating lasting relationships with players, and generally trying to change that around.

How much experience do you have using Voxel and Worldedit? Frankly, I’m not that familiar with Voxel because I have never found it more useful than just combining WE and other plugins like goBrush. For example, I might make a landscape with gB and then use WE to change up the blocks, usually just adding gradients and smoothing, and generally make it look more in place. I don’t think voxel is needed. Everything that I have attached pictures of was made with ONLY goBrush and WorldEdit.

However, I consider myself very familiar with WorldEdit. I’m not sure where I’d be as a builder without it, to be completely honest. It’s a key component of all of my builds today, and serves as a great tool in making my builds just what they are. The biggest and most time saving component of WorldEdit, that I certainly utilize as much as I possibly can is the ability to copy/paste. I’m not a complete expert on the plugin, but I know more than enough to be successful using it.

I find your builds truly unique and refreshing. None of us on the team can build figurines quite like yours and your builds pop with color.

However, I feel like you've been here too short to become an architect. I'm concerned that you were recently unbanned and I think it'd be best if you waited a few more months before applying.

You're builds are marvelous, but I think you need to work yourself back into the community before you can become a staff member.

 

Although in most cases I would be inclined to agree with you, it seems like in this case it's a bit exceptional because Ima is clearly one of the best applicants that MeepCraft has ever gotten for its Architect team. His builds are almost objectively superior to many of the applicants we've received - so why put him on hold? He's an extremely talented builder from what I've seen, and as someone who interacts with Blake on an everyday basis, I can tell you that he's one of the most sensible people I've spoken to.

He's not taking up a role relating to moderation, and although he can /kick as Architect, he's one of those people who know when to be professional and when to be silly. It's not a quality that you can really learn in some cases. I don't think that his past will get in the way when building. For that reason, I'll be a +1. Phenomenal builds, top-tier builder for MeepCraft, yes please.

 

He's quite exceptional, but there's still some standards that we as architects need to have that are often over looked. I don't doubt he can be a sensible guy, but issues were issues and nothing can change that. You don't need to be a mod to apply for arch, and I'm not trying to make it sound like he needs to be. But as an architect you have access to alot, and your work doesn't always need to be limited to just building. Case and point, I'm not just talking builds here. I'm talking about the over all picture.

I'm not sure why it made you think less of me, honestly. PMX's response shows some hypocrisy and thus I felt like I had to answer it by reminding him that we're all human, we all make mistakes, and that should be forgiven for all of us, not just him.

 

I have a limit of 2 posts, but i just wanna say, offending/treating a staff member like that is unacceptable. Sorry Staff for the number of posts.

PMX, I'm going to be honest here and say that I had nothing to do with any setup. I thought that you and I were friends, and honestly, I still think you're a cool guy. But even my friend group denies any involvement in it, and we have a group chat with all five of us, where nothing like that even took place. We've already talked about this personally, I'd prefer it doesn't get brought up on my application since we don't even know who did the "framing".

 

In life, you can't always expect to be forgiven right away. You were unbanned less than a week ago, and the things you did prior were horrendous. Sit a bit, interact with the community, and start anew.

 

I love your "honesty". It's not like you were one of the only people from meep I added on Skype besides a few close friends, the fake convo used one of your accounts, and a few of you admitted to creating the fake convo. But sure we will go with "your story". Also don't make it seem like I hated you when you obviously have hatred towards me considering you kept calling me out in global when I wasn't even talking in chat. Either way, when you were trolling staff, posting inappropriate content in chat, and constantly getting banned on alts in the past week, what made you think that it would be a good idea to apply. Tbh with your extensive ban history, anger problems, and deceitful actions there is no way you should even be considered for staff.

 

Dude, I've already told you multiple times that I don't know anything about this. All that I've heard is that you were demoted and then reinstated, for supposedly leaking staff chat. Why are you trying to pin this on me when I've literally told you all that I could have? I liked talking with you, I enjoyed the time we spent together. Never in a million years would I do something as downright cold as that. I'm sorry. If you want to know more about this, ask the staff. This is the first I've even heard of it in months other than from you blaming me, again, in private messages. Let's drop this and, if you feel the need, continue in a conversation.
