Introduction: Im Danny, ive been playing on Meep for about 4 years now (including my alt) I usually play Meep for quite some time a day and some days I may be off because im busy, have a job or am on a trip. Which wont be very often though. I love playing Basketball and am currently in competitive swimming in my school. I am enrolled into the Border Patrol Explorer Program which may take some of my time as well.

Why should you be Helper?
I've been playing meep for 4 years and have learned all that I feel I need to know as civ., and have done so much I feel like i'm just wasting my time, I feel like I can use this time to focus on helping new players to meep and helping those in need or in a problem. Many new players need help to understand the rules or commands used in everyday play on meep and feel like I can be there to help someone when they need it or when other staff members are too busy on other requests. I feel like I have done and learned all that's needed on meep to qualify as a helper and succeed in being one. I also work very well with people and I am always glad to help a fellow meeps.

· Experience: I have experience in working with others and coming to a solution to problems involving a suspect and victim, having taken law enforcement classes. I also have very good communications skills and know how to find my way into a person to get what any information I may need to solve a case. I feel these skills are very important in the server and may be needed at any time.

· Work Ethic/Dedication: I always work on a problem until I am finished with it, I will find a way around an obstacle or complete any other steps until the problem is solved and concluded. I like working on big problems because I feel I learn an experience from it and will use that knowledge for the next problem I may work on. I apply this to everyday issues in my life and it turns out to be the best problem solver in my life.

· Involvement: As much as I like to try and be active and involved in the community I have also witnessed drama and favoritism within people in the community, I feel like those are 2 of the biggest setbacks in anyone's work space and the problem needs to be fixed, it leaves smaller people out of the community and may even ruin another's experience and opinion of meepcraft.

· Justification: I always believe in doing what is right for the people and the community, even if it goes against what I believe or maybe even feel comfortable with. I believe this creates a sense of trust and security in people.

What are your weaknesses? I am in the Border Patrol Explorer program which may take some of my time as since I may have calls to different "jobs" as they call it. I may also need help learning some commands used as a helper.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: During my 3 years in meep as a civ, i've aided in the ban of 4 people for hacking/duping/griefing

 

No references? And I find it hard to believe that your only weakness is having other responsibilities. The app was pretty good. You seem to really emphasize that you have been playing for 3-4 years. Just because you are a veteran, doesn't make you qualified.

Hey Danny!

You have written a very solid application, even though I never have talked to you before, I got to know you as a person, which is a great thing!

However, there are things that concern me.
First, like @CasualNacho said, is your references. I'm sure you know, but Meepcraft has a really close community and an intricate network of friends. Thus, having no references leads me to believe that you are struggling at making connections with the community, which worries me. You mentioned in your application that you would like to be involved in the community, but you have experienced drama and favoritism that keeps you away from involvement. Yes, unfortunately we have drama and favoritism, but most people of the community, including myself, am always looking forward to make new friends! Get to know people!
Second, your activity. Even though you have been playing on this server for two years, I have never seen you online, be it in game, forums, or discord. As a staff member you need to be capable of utilizing all three aspects of the server to provide maximum help to players.
Third, your weaknesses. You claim that you have none besides your other responsibilities. However, I'm sure that you have others. Everyone does. If you have no weaknesses, you have nothing to improve on, and you won't be a better person tomorrow than you are today. Find what you can better at!

Therefore, I have to -1 to this application, but I think you have a great potential of attaining this position in the future.

You don't need references really. No need for it. References are only for other people to vouch that the person is telling the truth on their app.

Now onto the app.
Hey Vapor! So...
The introduction. I don't know you that much, but looking at your intro, I can get a "small" sense of who you are. But, there doesn't seem to be a connection. Tell us a little bit more about you! Like, how you came across Meep or like your favorite classes. I want that feeling that, when I read this, I have a feeling where I already know you.
Your Why you Should be Helper section is fine. The only thing is is that you're not as active as one would think in global. You need to be. How are you going to have fun with others then? And how will anyone find out that you're actually helpful if you only keep to yourself? Try to talk more, communicate with others more. It'll actually be helpful for you and fun as well.
Weaknesses. Now, this section might be your weakest so far. Yeah, your program may be something that'll make you less active, but just commands help and activity doesn't seem like those can be your only weakness. We all have many downsides to us, we're human. We're suppose to have them. Whether it be like, a fear or something you have trouble with, you should list it down (by a fear I mean like the fear of being yelled at or ignored).
Overall, your application is eh to me. I know you can be a helper but it seems as if now it wouldn't be the right time. Also, the fact that you helped catch hackers and dupers show you can be a great catcher of these things but only this won't really help. I'll leave a neutral vote on this app.

In the past 9 days I've seen you getting a lot of warnings in game, saying lots of inappropriate things in global chat, spamming and being disobeying rules on both discord and in game.

Why are you bringing up bans from over a year ago? Do you think that anyone without a spotless ban record should never be allowed to be staff? We would not have a staff team at all, if that were the case.

As for the application, if you can't act maturely in global, what's to say that you should be trusted to enforce rules you can't follow? Your forum activity is also lacking. -1

 

Anyone can get past a ban depending on how much effort they put into improving themselves. It's been done time and time again. Many people have fixed their mistakes and have gotten a shot at staff or have become one.
